The skeleton of a mammuth found in Nevlje is the biggest attraction. You can also see many other skeletons, minerals, birds and other animals.

Same entrance as the National Museum of Slovenia. Forms a small part of the museum, but the kids would love it.

Waste of money. I would recommend you to go to technical museum in Bistra. Besides many things to see there is also bigger collection of animals and stuff...

Slovenian natural history and national museum is a hidden gem with amazing collections from the natural and cultural history of Slovenian territory. Among them the incredible Zois mineral collection and the oldest musical instrument in the world...the Neanderthal bone flute.

Great exhibits, affordable. Won't take too long to walk through

Simple yet effective museum, it has different exhibitions about fishes, birds, the typical animals of Slovenia and even about plants. Very very cheap, you can spend here the all afternoon with less than 5 euros.

This museum actually shares the entrance with the Slovenian National Museum and Google maps incorrectly directs you to the service entrance that is locked. The museum is fairly small, but would be great for children as there's lots of interactive things to do. There's a partial skeleton of a woolly mammoth, quite a few rocks & a variety of stuffed animals (mostly birds) from Slovenia.

Practically everything is written in both Slovenian and English. I was pleasantly surprised about the fact that every artifact is labelled - something I always miss in other museums. By doing that, even all the stone plates on the ground floor become interesting. Lots of kids corners, nice selection of animals ... don't have a single complaint.

The staff was very friendly and helpful but the museum itself is a bit Rusty and lacking in resources. You can tell the impressive building is falling apart and needs maintenance here and there. It is cheap though and quite education if you have time to kill. You can buy a combined ticket with the National Museum of Slovenia for € 8,50.

Great museum for adults and kids with lots of interactive interesting spots for kids. You get a free audio guide, when you purchase a ticket, which you can listen online with your mobile. Will definitely return. Sadly, it has no wheelchair or stroller access, no ramps it elevators although main part of exhibitions take place upstairs. Resting facilities for kids are also poor or virtually none. It has good exhibitions, good and interactive content but very poor organisation of access, rests and amnesties. Free for preschool children, free on every first Sunday of the month which is great.

The animals are not very responding when you are trying to feed them. But very cool Mammouth.

I enjoyed the visit with my friends, even though the lady working in the special exposition part was not very nice bc of the language gap.

My visit to this Museum was a wonderful experience as I saw several features related to wildlife, geology etc. It was a memorable time and I recommend to go there if you have little bit interest in science or nature then must go.

Such an amazing museum. When I went here I only saw two other guests the couple of hours I was there. Usually I don’t find museums too interesting but this one has so many amazing artifacts to look at!
