Very nice place to walk away from tourists area

Must visit if you come to Ljubljana. Here you can go for a walk by the Ljubljanica water, drink most delicious ice coffee and all deserts are fantastic! Near by is botanical garden so it's very good to ho with children.

I felt like reading some novel, written by one female contemporary slovene author ... I have found just right spot to read in our little town, where Ljubljanica devides itself...

Great place to sit by the river and have a drink or dessert. There’s also a playground. Within walking distance of the pedestrian downtown but a bit quieter.

If you like walking and nature, Špica is the place for you. About a ten-minute walk from the city center.Surely one of the most beautiful places in Ljubljana. Where the Ljubljanica river splits into two streams. Špica is also called a city beach. Where you will find a well-kept park with many free sunbeds. There is also a Spica bar that offers you everything you could ever want. I recommend.

Nice quiet bar by the river Ljubljanica. Wide variety of drinks and desserts. Comfortable chairs, natural shade if you prefer it. Friendly staff. Totally recomendable. You can get there walking by the river or there is a parking near by.

A very nice place to walk! maybe if you are lucky you can find some beavers swimming in the river. If you have plenty of time you can also take a little boat trip.

nice setting at the split of Ljubljanica river into two legs. The nearby terrace-bar has improved the background music.

Lovely area for relaxing. Free use of lounge chairs, still no bathing in the river though. Can be very hot in the summer because of concrete. The place would be even better with more trees.

Expensive, not worth it, but what can you do.... not really a lot of choice in this area. Better to take a coffee to-go and sit in the surrounding, but in hot summer not enough shade around, so it's better as an evening friends meet.

Best place for an afternoon coffee or beer, near the botanical garden right at the ljubljanica river! One of the best places to be, quite a few not overly touristic restaurants nearby. It's about 10 min from the shoemakers bridge by foot. Totally recommend!
