This church in Plecnik is absolutely worth seeing. If you're lucky, you'll meet someone who will open the door for you. The website also offers the option to request well in advance. The bell tower with the spectacular external staircase is of course not accessible. The interior is richly lined with wood. A large bust of Plecnik stands in a corner.

Fabulous church designed by the master architect Jože Plečnik. It is a shame the church is not open for visitors, you need to contact the parish priest or visit during a service. If it was open to public, it would get shining 5 stars.

15 minute outside of Ljubljana, in the middle of "nowhere" there is this little beauty. Worth it to take a detour to visit.

As I was told this church is different because it has open bells and open staircase. It was built on 100+ pilots so it wouldn't sink. Masterpiece of our famous architect Jožef Plečnik.

It is a church that is currently being renovated on the windows. The interior design is atypical for a church, as the church has a "transept". The priest explains very well. In addition to Slovene, he also speaks French and German fluently.

This is an architectural gem by the OG Starchitect Jože Plečnik from Slovenia. There are certainly more glamorous churches on this planet, but few are as unique and quirky as this one. I recommend that you bring your camera. St. Michael's Church will mesmerise you.

A very unique church in the marshlands! Went on a Sunday morning, got to see Abit of the interior of the church, full of wood. They were having Sunday service so we got to hear their choir sing. A very small and compact church with a lovely church building 👍

A Plecnik Classic. Inspiring work of a national Idol. We Loved the visit and Plan a comeback for the possibility to enter the Building.

Interestingly particular church in the outskirts of Ljubljana, designed by Jože Plečnik. One of a kind. Easily reachable by bike. Unfortunately I could not see inside it, so that's why I'm removing one star.

Visít only upon arrangement. The inside and outside is packed with design ideas of Joze Plecnik. Look for the grand and minor details. It is a treat for the eye, the mind and the spirit!

A hidden gem on the outskirt of Ljubljana. There's a bus stop right infront of the church, in case you want to use a public transport.

This is a very interesting church close to Lubljiana. It is a catholic one, but all religions are expressed. It is often closed, so you can see only the external side. If you have a car I suggest to visit it. E stata costruita su una palude
