Food good been coming here for a little now but this is the first experience that the staff had actually forgotten my meal and made me wait around 30-45mins on account of their mistake.

The Seniors' meal was of a good size, very tasty & reasonably priced. The service was very good & friendly. Overall a very pleasant dining experience.

We have been here a few times for dinner. The food is always really nice. The staff are friendly. Never have to wait long. The interior has had a refurb and it looks great. Seats are comfy.

I wanted to share my experience at Charmside Tavern. I've visited more than seven times with my resident, and until today, they've never asked for the seniors card when ordering the seniors steak. It was uncomfortable having to show the card, especially as my resident is in a wheelchair. I had to literally point out to my resident to prove that he is senior citizen. While I have no complaints about the food, the inconsistency in enforcing the policy made the experience less enjoyable, considering we are paying for the food.

Staff member who opened Tavern at 10am today (Monday) was rude and abrupt. She provided very poor service and is a poor face for the Tavern and TAB. She gave me a brochure rather then a claim form . I phoned TAB Vic who advised I should have been given a claim form. A frequent customer in the Tavern said she is always sour and wished me good luck

Fish and salad with chips. Good value for light lunch. All the meals I've have here have been good value for$. Pensioners get a deal with desert too. It's a handy place to eat after appointments , shopping. Socialising

We ordered a big breakfast,ill tell you what,, just the toast alone was incredible I could have just eaten the toast by itself,, the rest of the 'big breakfast" was amazing thank you for an amazing breakfast😀

I had steak. It was under cooked, and salad and chips were a very small portion. The place is nice and the people friendly.

Food was good, well cooked. The beef nachos was great and yummy. Ambiance was nice and relaxing. One of the older female staff didn't seem very friendly, the rest of them were nice.

$27 Steak sandwich with cheese Bacon and cheese was thicker than the slice of steak. Steak from deli slicer. Reply to Reply. Thank you for reply, I only imply steak from deli because it thin enough to be cut from deli slicer, maybe adjust deli slicer to 10mm instead of 2mm. Bacon was thicker. I get steak sandwich from corner shops $11 with works. Feed two people 1 sandwich. 200g steak easy. Your overhead high so pass on to people.

If the price for the 250g steak is increased by $1 then it should be communicated in the written form on the Menu - not tell customers the Menu hasn't been updated yet and try to charge extra $1. Otherwise great Service and great food - Compliments to the chef.

It's great to have a pub attached/inside a shopping centre. Chermside tavern is clean. Service is good, and a standard pub food menu is available. I didn't eat here, but the food being taken to the tables looked good.

Came here on a Saturday morning and ordered big breakfast. The food took 30 minutes to come out with only 1 other group in the tavern. No explanation was given and the server was rude when asked whe food was coming. I'd recommend against this place if you want speedy and nice service.

Food is so tasty! Pretty quick turn around in service too! The reason the photo of the food is almost finished is testimony of how good it was. We got "Bangers and mash" and the "250g rump steak with chips n salad". Sat outside and enjoyed the warmth. Pretty cruisy way to finish a day of shopping with a refreshing coldie and a solid meal.

We had a big group of 26 here recently and the Tavern coped well. We ordered, paid, and the food was given to us quickly. The friendly staff diligently checked that we had all received our meals and desserts. The venue seemed clean and airy with doors open. I would definitely recommend dining at this venue.

Came here with a friend. The food was cooked to perfection and was very filling. There was one other table so food came pretty quickly. Drinks came quickly as well. It was just confusing as there was no one at the entrance so we weren’t sure if it was table service or not. There were several staff members who were just chatting and didn’t seem to want to help us. Had lots of the staff look at us and then giggle and whisper to themselves while looking at us, which made us a little uncomfortable. Ordering was easy but there was a number of unavailable dishes so we had a limited choice. Nevertheless the steak burger / sandwhich I had was delicious. Good value for money food wise but the service was not great. Couldn’t say I’ll be back soon but I may try them again.

Great experience here yesterday. Karleigh (Covid Marshall) was more than helpful :) Food was fine, could do with more chips per meal. And possibly have the parsley cut already but besides that, good job. Loved the wine as well.

One of the most important things with eating out is your first contact with the venue. Staff. Happy to say that the staff here were very friendly and helpful and attentive. It made a good meal even better. Nachos were up there with the best. So tasty. And the full rib was as ever, a plentiful amount of meat and great flavour. Yes, we will be back here.

Came in for a beer and a feed and to be honest the chefs special was nice and tasty. Thanks Chef. Yes there was a wait but there were also a few tables that had ordered. The lady boss and the young bearded fella were great! They were under the pump and were working real hard. Props to them. My biggest issue was the big fella with the glasses and beard that came on at 1pm. The dude had 2 drinks, stuffing his face full of lollies, on his phone behind the bar, checking the fork PC and just really not pulling his wait. He was on shift for just over 30 mins from my observations. He came out a couple of times when food was up but didn't clear tables or assist the young fella in anyway! Scraping the barrel when we hired him hey?!

It's a shame, they are very understaffed at the moment. I don't really like the atmosphere, I think it needs an update, but the food was good quality as were the drinks.
