Sooo... my podiatrist recommended this place to me...thought we would check it out. My wife and twin girls went along, no booking, they fitted us in. Wow wow wow!! This is one of the few places I have given five stars to. Everything was perfect, service, food, atmosphere, great selection of drinks. Everything was quality plus!! Loved it.

Finally made the trip to this restaurant after admiring the outside of it for years as I drove down Edward street. Well worth it too! All the dishes were on point, succulent char grilled octopus with chorizo was delectable! The beetroot risotto tender with beautiful earthy flavours and the 300gm medium rare rib eye was as tender and delicious as I’ve ever eaten.

Is kind of ok but keep your expectations low. This is a beer hole, that's all. I made the mistake of ordering a Mojito. $ 18 !! Ordering a cocktail here is like ordering a Crème Brûlée at a McDonalds.

We visited here last night looking for something to eat. The bar man recommended the roast of the day.. Sirlion beef wiv veggies and Yorkshire Pudding. Well it came out and I thought ‘how am I going to eat all of that!’. 3 thick slices of beef and many veggies. It was the best roast I have ever had! Compliments to the chef. Thoroughly recommend a visit and meal.

Wow!! We held our wedding at the Port Office Hotel. Jamie and Ellie made our planning so easy and stress free. They went above and beyond and paid attention to detail. We could not recommend them highly enough. We loved our big day, the food was divine and staff were so kind. We're so sad its over but would definitely hold any future events here!

Dined here with seven friends on Saturday evening! Food was great! Eden made superb espresso martini’s.. a long time since I have experienced such prompt and pleasant service getting a cocktail, Maddy, Ashley and Gemma were superb waitresses and couldn’t do enough for us… a lovely evening in beautiful surroundings , great food and fair prices.. thank you to all who made our evening so happy

We had a great work dinner here last week. My steak was just right, and the table was happy with everything - not easy for 14 people! The Wirra Wirra shiraz was a great bottle.

Food and service was awesome, delicious. What let the experience down was overzealous micro manager who was only too happy to interrupt our conversations with trainee wait staff and then dress them down in public for 'wasting time and not training'. For the record, they did a great job and the micro manager made us all feel very uncomfortable. She also addressed my wife as sweetheart.

Solid dining. Great value for money and really friendly staff. It’s a great option the food was very generous. My only gripe is does it have to be lit like a post office. (Ie brighter than it really needs to be). It’s a dining room. At night it can really turn down the lights a bit. But I guess then the punters will probably complain about not being able to read the menu. Anyway first world problems. Decent choice if you are going out nearby

In the picture a $25 beef burger with chips. Flavour gets 4/5. Portion size gets 2/5. The places around have plenty of other excellent delicious and decent size options within the $15-$20 range. The overall look and feel is not bad and feels quite cosy. Overall, I feel this place has a decent opportunity for improvement to become competitive with the many options around it.

I booked a private event for 18 people in the Green Room, and couldn't have been more impressed by the staff, service, well stocked bar, and most importantly the sumptuous food. Well done to everyone for creating a gastro pub that truly dazzles at every level!

Group of 10 including children. We didn’t book the table in advance, however thanks for setting the table for us. Everyone including children enjoyed the meals including desserts. Whole Baby Barramundi was so delicious. Will recommend to fish lovers. Customer service was excellent, the girl called Lilly ( not sure the name correct) was very polite and outstanding customer service manners. Meals were pricey but worth it.

Went in for the Sunday roast, we were totally impressed, excellent roast pork and veg. Slightly disappointed that there was no live music, however, they’re cracking more than made up for that!!!

However, their service will not treat customers casually because they are busy. Instead, they take great care of every guest. Was there for a charity lunch, raising money for mental health awareness. food was great - tapas style, Staff were most helpful. Still surprises me that cider isn't offered at all bars. I would have needed to go to the front bar if I wanted the drink I wanted.

I can't speak highly enough when it to comes to this venue. The drinks are cold and the staff are amazing. As soon as you walk in they make you feel special. The food is wonderful, slightly a bit more pricey, but it's worth it. You can't go wrong with the Port Office. If you're just after a beer or a high end lunch, the Port Office has it all. The two Conors and Matt are wonderful, Jordan and Chloe run the background, Harrison is nice but slow.

The restaurant situated at the rear of the hotel has real old world charm. A select menu offers some quality dishes although perhaps a little pricey given that vegetables etc are extra. The staff are wonderful and attentive without being intrusive. A good range of wines although again a little overpriced. All in all a great night out.

It's simple as far as the inner city goes this is by far the best pub to go daylight between it and all others. Great food a superb wine list beer of all kinds and always excellent service

I really like the Port Office, its a proper pub in a world full of pretentious bars and will always get my vote as a top spot for a beer. Pretty good food too!

We always have the duck spring rolls they are yum. We had the largest veal schnitzel it was like a crumbed rib eye, it was very tender and full of flavour. The wine list is very good also. The service is very good, we had a young lady look after us and she was nervous as she was under training.

Stopped in here for dinner on a business trip, The door staff (I forgot to grab her name) was fabulous she seated us quickly with a smile. Drinks were served promptly, and our waitstaff were extremely attentive. The ricotta gnocchi was absolutely heaven , perfect little parcels seated on top of a beautifully flavoured and coloured basil pesto. My colleague was amazed with the flavours coming out of his Linguine Marinara. Come here for dinner you won't be disappointed.

Went here for dinner in January. It was amazing. Our two waitresses were wonderful. The food was delicious. And that bonoffee dessert... hands down the best dessert I've had in my life.

Good pub, good food, they had a good musician in the front bar on the Friday night that I attended. The music was too loud actually. It made it very difficult to communicate with other patrons. Otherwise I would have given it a 5-star

Was at the Port Office for lunch on Saturday and everything and everyone was amazing! The service from the outset was professional and accommodating. Moving on to the food- outstanding- I give it the ‘Ridiculous Award’ as in Ridiculously Good!! Great portion sizes for $$ and really worth every cent. A big shout out to the owner who had to deal with noisy outside protestors with professionalism and diplomacy keeping all of us patrons inside feeling safe and protected . Highly- highly recommend this place !!!

On behalf of UnitingCare QLD Head Office we want to thank Jamie (Event Manager) for creating such a great space for our EOFY Staff Party. From initial contact to closing of the party we were truly happy with our experience. The layout, decor and size were perfect for 130 staff. The canapes, sliders and platter food options were excellent and were great quality. Great choice of dietary requirements too. The staff allocated to our party were extremely friendly and accommodating. We would also like to mention Port Office were very flexible in our budget - although we felt the pricing for a large function was very reasonable. Thank you very much, we hope to hold another event within your space again soon

Had an event at the blue room and it was great, food was beautiful except the spring roles which were cold but the staff gladly fixed that up for us. Had a brilliant bartender named Sean who, despite his poor jokes, was excellent and made the experience even better. Would gladly go back

Enjoyed a couple of quiet beers and watched the world go by. Charming pub and a Brisbane icon. No comment on food as I didn't eat but the chicken parmi on the next table looked very nice and was huge. Maybe next time.

I get the feeling that unless you've been a local at this pub for 15 years it's probably not for you. Really average bar. Unless you're wearing RM Williams, jeans, a button up shirt and like watching Sports, I'd advise anywhere else. Good security though.

We ordered 2 meals 1x steak chips and salad and 1x beef burger with chips. Both were excellent! We were served by a young Irish lass who was very friendly, polite and good to talk to. 😀

Attended the Super Bowl function on Monday 13th Feb. Fantastic. Food was tasty and plentiful, drinks were served speedily to our table. Serving staff were professional and attentive. Special mention to the Irish lady who was our main waitress, outstanding job. I hope this will be an annual event, book us in!

We were pleasantly surprised to get a table with a walk in. Albeit, it was 5:30 on a Tuesday. But the place filled up quickly. The service staff were incredibly friendly and very professional. The food is well presented and delicious. There were plenty of Gluten Free options and if the staff weren't sure, they were very happy to ask the kitchen. The creme brulee is highly recommended.

Lovely place for lunch but a bit expensive. Meal sizes were quite varied.

This is a very noisy venue inside and out as somehow the council has allowed heavy-duty trucks to use the adjacent road that connects the M1. Food, table service and drinks however are normally excellent except for the day we went where there was only one person behind the bar at lunch time, go figure!

Attended for a networking function. Lunch was really good, share-style meal with a lot of variety. Nice space upstairs with its own bar and bathrooms.

Had a dinner here, and it was phenomenal. The blonde girl who was our waitress was fantastic and took care of our every need, the chefs did an outstanding job with all our food. Cannot wait to return. Thank you for the amazing service and food.

If you are looking to book a place for work functions, stay away from this restaurant at all cost. We made our booking around mid October for December Christmas party. Paid our deposit confirmed the booking by the restaurant. 3 weeks later, we received a phone call from their staff Ashleigh that we have been double booked on that day so the reservation has to be cancelled. All we got is a sorry that costed them nothing and refund of deposit. It took them 3 weeks to find out they have double booked someone, makes me wonder what kind of incompetent staff they have. It is now 2 weeks till our Christmas party it's going to be hard to find an alternative restaurant in this timeframe. Thanks to you port office

Great service...we arrived after 2 pm for lunch unfortunately no specials were left,so ordered a steak rare . unfortunately it was medium...mentioned this to maitre d but she just walked away without a compensation.....

We arrived at peak time without a reservation looking like a hot mess but the lovely staff greeted us with smiles and were able to squeeze us in! We had the calamari, the duck spring rolls and warm bread to start… the portions and flavour were well on point! My partner and I are massive foodies and as someone that works in the industry I was Beyond impressed that the recent winners did not disappoint! Little touches such as noticing that we were sharing the strip-loin and would we like it cut, to putting us in a a solid food Coma! We will be back!! Thank you Port Office Team From start to finish!

My friends and I came here for the Super Bowl game yesterday, entry was $90 which included food and a selection of beer. The staff was professional and friendly. The food was amazing from the sliders, buffalo wings, hot dogs and the bowl of fries. It was worth the price of admission and we will all be returning next year for the Super Bowl.

Great Food and Wine, a few extra $$$’s but well worth considering

Food is excellent as expected and very comprehensive menu, really wonderful to get a glass of champagne (actual champagne) by the glass; however the service is astonishingly gold standard, what a difference to our overall lunch experience. If google allowed 10 stars I would give it.

We dined at the POH on 18th August 2020 for my sister's 65th birthday and can I say, our expectations were not only met but were exceeded! From the time we walked through the door, our welcome was enthusiastic and the covid protocols were addressed in a friendly and easy fashion. The Menu was fabulous and the food was absolutely divine, brought out in a most timely fashion. Niall, our waiter/attendant was an amazingly personable gentleman who tendered to our dining needs with perfection, what a wonderful asset this fellow is to the establishment. And may I say, that all the staff that attended to us in some way that evening were delightful. Together, everyone made my sister's birthday a most memorable one. Honestly, one of the best dining experiences I have had the pleasure to enjoy. Thank you to all.

Dined in the public bar had steak with the best Bearnaise sauce I've ever had (they were very accommodating in changing from a pepper sauce) steak perfectly cooked for my liking and staff we're super friendly would definitely recommend and will be coming back. Thank you great experience

The food and service was great, but who thought it was a good idea to put the open smoking section directly beside the entrance to the restaurant? With patrons lining up to get in, those of us outside were being suffocated by second hand smoke. At least put a glass barrier up that limits the spread, guys.
