Went to the Geoffrey Whitworth Theatre so see a play caller's Cells'. My first impression was that the theatre is cold. I found it uncomfortable for an hour zfter arriving until the well attended bar provided enough warmth to allow my to remove my overcoat. The location is nicely presented with a clear and bright box office, a spacious bar and a decent and comfortable auditorium. The bar is large and well served and, if you are a coffee drinker, easily accessible. Being a tea drinker, despite the indication of the bar staff, there was no tea available near the bar, so I would have to wonder upstairs to reach that option. Fortunately Beck Blue was on hand, so I ordered that and remained in the bar with my friend. The play was very funny and the cast excellent, matching their roles brilliantly. This was my first visit, which I hope to repeat.

It's a lovely little theatre, cheap prices on tickets and drinks from the bar. It's tucked away behind a residential area which can make it hard to find but it is signposted quite well. The performances are always top notch!

Amazing theatre building with first class facilities, especially considering it is for amateur productions.
