One of the best gig experiences in London, better than the big O2. Been to plenty of gigs here and always had a good time. Sound quality is perfect albeit a bit loud if you have sensitive ears so bring plugs if you need. Don't coat check and pre drink as the lines can get rammed. Go for standing stalls if possible as the area is designed perfectly for all to see.

My experience at O2 Brixton was okay. I came here to see Bauhaus and I am unsure if the poor audio quality was because of the band or the venue. I imagine the experience here is a lot better further in, I did like the fact that the audience area lowers so that everyone can see the band!

It's not too big, but large enough to fit around 5000 people and have a great show. The bathrooms are decent. There are many bars scattered around and good drink options. Sound quality is nice and loud, well distributed. For the event I went to, the security was very efficient and everyone was through the doors in no time.

This place is very large and The stage is absolutely amazing ! The staff was very kind with us, I was there for Soulection The Sound Of Tomorrow. This is clearly the best music experience of my life 😭🫶🏼 THANK YOU! I will come back for another event for sure ! Brixton is such a good place, good vibes and energies ✨ !

I went this venue on 4th December 2021 to see Tommy Ashby and the amazing Six60. This is a great venue for acts if you are short person like me, the floor is sloped so if you find yourself further back you still get a good view of the stage. I was really lucky this time round as I managed to get a front row spot. The security staff were respectful whilst maintaining control of the crowd, they tried to duck out the way so not to ruin you videos photos. The bar is close by at the back so you don't miss anything whilst getting a drink. I have been here once before to see M.I.A too. Both visits one before the pandemic and one after have been an excellent experience.

Brixton Academy is still one of the nation's greatest venues. The iconic interior is looking a little shabby but it all adds to the rock and roll chic. The acoustics are as sharp as ever and the sloping floor guarantees excellent viewing. It is surrounded by all means of eateries and watering holes and has good access by bus and tube. Enjoy the show.

Saw Beck here last summer. Brilliant gig. I prefer these venues that are more intimate than stadia. Sloping floor makes viewing from the back easier too.

This has got to be my favourite venue, just because of its history in hosting amazing bands, from Public Enemy in the 80s and 90s, to The Prodigy in the 90s and 00s, Chemical Brothers and a shed load more. The sloping standing area means you can see the stage from wherever you are, and thank God they’ve sorted out more bar areas so that it’s easier to get a drink. Even if you’re up in the circle you get to see how picturesque the whole stage is, like a castle - it’s lovely! Always a pleasure going here for gigs because there’s always something to do afterwards, and now serving Mega Pints too; the excitement is never ending!

The venue was amazing and very spacious, have to say the sloping floor was excellent for short people like me, can definitely see the whole stage. Went to see Griff and she was so so good. Felt like we were only 5 meters away from her (was queuing for an hour before door opened). Everyone has O2 phone number/ contract can go to a different queue with your mates. Staff was friendly and the overall experience was the one of the best I’ve ever had😌

Amazing venue for an awesome show - we went to the In Flames concert and enjoyed every moment. We bought tickets for the stalls at the upper floor because my wife is pregnant - so we didn't want to squeeze between the crowd. The only complaint that I have is that it was freezing cold! I don't know if the AC was on or just winds from outside that came in. Other than that everything was amazing, the sound was great, our view to the stage was uninterrupted - everything that you would want in a concert.

I came here to see Dreamcatcher a while ago and I wanted to write this review because I saw the group again recently at a really bad venue and it made me appreciate my experience at the O2 Brixton. The security were extremely friendly, helpful and patient from the queue through to the stage. They chatted to us while we waited to enter the venue and explained the venue’s rules patiently to us. They searched us as we went in but they were respectful and cheery. At the front of the stage they handed out water, hyped up the crowds while we waited for the show and kept everything running smoothly. The toilets at the side of the stage were easy to access and it was easy to see the stage even from farther back due to the sloped floor. I had a great time at that show and appreciate how smoothly it all ran.

Love this unique and quirky venue. The interior is unlike any I've seen.... access is relatively easy with various JustParks dotted around, and the station is only a 5 minute walk. Capacity is about 4000 so it's not too big, or too small! Bars are scattered throughout the venue and the loos are usually nice and clean. Obviously the variety of acts on is always fantastic. I would choose this venue anytime!

The staff were very nice which is great to see even tho the lineup was a bit confusing. However it did feel a little hectic, although most concerts. due to others excitement and staff feeling possible pressure due to this so everything felt a little rushed during the process of organising people in the lines to get in and out of the building. The security staff handing out water were great although it did take them a little long to provide assistance to someone that needed it when the crowd signalled for help. I understand that we can't always be able to reach people but when possible they should make sure to communicate more and ask if more water is needed if they can't see people with their hands up or with signs on their phone. Even tho we appreciate the water being handed out their wasn't alot of water that I hoped, to give reference its a size of a plastic drinking cup with roughly a shot glass full of water. I understand that it would be tricky to have all cups full but I was a bit surprised due to little water that was in the cup. However the security people did come around a few times to make sure everyone stayed hydrated since in the venue it was a little hot. Sadly a incident happened when it got a point where a girl had to be carried out as she looked like she was going to faint or she could of been overwhelmed it was hard to tell and I hope it wasn't due to her being dehydrated. Overall it was a great night at the concert to which clario played at and she did make sure to check on people as some people wasn't able to get water since its more of a grab and take. The company that hosted the concert with clario done a great job with helping us enjoy the concert even tho the waiting time felt extended. This venue was such a beautiful venue and should be used more often.

Went here for the first time ever on the 26th of May to see Beach House live. Wow, absolutely magnificent concert venue! I was sat on the circle section and had a great view and most importantly a fantastic evening!

Great when policed right. Been to some events where it was very organised and we had lots of fun. Venue is great for decorating for parties and such making it a great place on the weekends.

Great venue. Large queue to get in the venue but moved pretty quickly. Sound was good for this gig (Anthrax, Municipal Waste October 2022). Bit on the expensive side for drinks. £7 for a can of lager but can pour 2 in 1 large cup so you don't have to keep going back to the bar. Didn't have to wait long in the bar queue. No queue for toilets either. Ticket prices reasonably cheap too.

Been here a fair few times and always an enjoyable time. A good sized venue - not too big and easy enough to get close to the front. Security/staff aren’t as strict as they are at some of the bigger O2 venues which makes things more pleasant. Interesting architecture inside the hall too.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Brixton Academy in London for the first time back in 1987, and I have been returning whenever I get the chance ever since. This iconic venue holds a special place in my heart, and it continues to impress me with its timeless charm.

Amazing place to see concerts with great sound and inclination so that everybody can see while standing without worrying of tall people (pretty much like Sentrum Scene in Oslo). There could be more bars near the stage, but there are quite enough outside. Beer cost is not high compared to other countries / similar venue places, I payed like 12 or 13 for a really big Carlsberg. There were other 2 beer brands and Somersby cider. You may have cocktails, but since I didn't have any, I cannot say much. I didn't find a place to leave my coat, I guess there should be but I arrived just on time due to transport strike in UK that day. Everything is payed with cards, no cash. This is a place where lots of bands made history in rock and the crowds reflect that... London is a center for rock culture.
