After
a
couple
of
years
of
abstinence
owing
to
COVID,
our
group
of
seven
friends
from
our
old
school
days
met
up
again
here
for
a
Saturday
afternoon/evening
of
reminiscing,
watching
6
Nations
rugby
and
drinking
far
too
much
beer.
We
like
this
place
as
it
is
big,
friendly
and
has
a
certain
atmosphere
having
previously
been
the
Union
Bank.
As
you
probably
already
know
this
pub
takes
its
name
from
the
order
of
Warrior
Knights
across
whose
land
Chancery
Lane
was
built
in
the
12th
century.
It
is
named
after
an
ancient
order
of
Warrior
Monks
–
The
Knights
Templar
which
features
heavily
in
The
Da
Vinci
Code.
Having
arrived
well
in
time
for
the
first
of
the
two
games
that
day
we
had
our
choice
of
places
to
sit
close
to
what
appeared
to
be
smaller
TV
screen
than
we
remember
from
previous
years.
The
drinking
then
started.
As
they
had
already
run
out
of
the
IPA
we
had
to
settle
on
the
Cornish
Doon
Bar
beer
which
was
OK.
We
got
through
quite
a
few
pints
so
feel
qualified
to
give
an
opinion...
Oh,
and
we
can
confirm
that
the
restrooms,
down
in
the
basement
are
also
in
order.
Clean
and
well
presented.
We
were
all
there
often
enough
as
the
beer
filtered
through...
Some
of
us
also
ordered
the
food
which
also
came
with
extra
pints.
As
the
afternoon
wore
on
the
place
slowly
began
to
fill
up
and
I
was
surprised
how
full
it
was
when
we
left
early
that
evening.
