The Fox on the hill Wetherspoon Pub is a great place to have a pint and play some darts. They have an outdoor area where you can enjoy your beer and there is also 3 hours free parking. The pub has a great ambiance and you'll never be disappointed with the menu. It's the perfect place for a day out.

You know what you are getting with Wetherspoons. This is a nice large restaurant. Great veggie choice. I had the quorn katsu curry. Another had scampi and another had the chicken katsu. Nothing left on the plates. Great value Lovely fireplace in the restaurant area so it felt warm and cosy. Refill tea and coffee is amazing value.

A superior Spoons in a leafy part of South London, if only for the large covered beer garden. People actually queue here! The usual half-arsed service you expect, but at £3 for a decent ale, I don't expect much more.... Decent local crowd enjoying the late summer sun. Handy for nearby Dulwich Hamlet FC. Cheers!

As you might expect for a Spoons, it’s on a lovely building. There’s also a huge lawn you can eat and drink outside on. The service here was below standard. Good staff but understaffed on a busy Saturday. The food was typical cheap Spoons nosh.

I love a good wetherspoons with the family it's a cheap and cheerful time and you know exactly what to expect when you plan to go there. This particular Wetherspoons is nice, we always hire out the conservatory when we have big family events and it was our cousins 30th this time. It's private and safe for the children to run around and you don't feel like you'll bother other people. My children are vegetarian so sometimes when we go out some restaurants never have the veg offerings from the menu and it can sometimes be very challenging for them to eat. But The Fox on the hill had Quorn and the vegetarian sausage was nice. Very reasonably priced too! I ordered the loaded fries and Nachos, both didn't have alot of cheese 😔 and the bacon could have been cooked a little more. The chips were lovely though! My partner had the Beyond Burger and said it was nice. Staff are polite, very busy as it was a Saturday and free parking all day on a Saturday too! Fast service Only 2 negatives with this place - No music as all other spoons And secondly they took out the much loved playground that was attached to it to create outside seating ! We didn't know this happened so when we arrived I was pretty bummed. However it looks lovely and the lights and everything look beautiful at night. Sorry I didn't take more photos! I'll update this review next time we go!

It has fantastic seating area including outside dining area. Not a fan of the vegetarian options though. Would recommend going early in the evening as it is usually too crowded on Thursdays and Fridays, and the service wait time rises to 50 minutes.

The staff are really patient and efficient. They have plenty of outdoor space and heaters and canopies too. The conservatory is lovely and it can be hired out for a reasonable price. They do food here too. The Fox is a lovely pub. I recommend giving it a visit (it does get busy at the weekends)

Steak was nice and location brilliant with a great garden. Sadly the roasted veg side was appealing, to pay extra for this side is an insult. They also forgot to bring me the drink I ordered with food

Full prices for half and cold menus. I ordered a beef chili with tortilla chips and sour cream, only received the cold chili after 45min. Then they told be they were out of the tortillas, but still had to pay full price for cold food.

Perfect atmosphere, very nice staff and good quality. Sometimes chips was dry but it is very cheap. Will definitely go back

Great pub! Good selection of on tap beer/ale. There are a couple of beer gardens so you can sit outside. You can order from an app instead of having to queue at the bar. Nice selection of food on the menu. Friendly staff. The only downside was the ladies room was completely out of toilet paper, which was disappointing.

Unlimited free parking after 6 pm. The food was OK drinks were very good, however, as soon as it gets busy you are best to order drinks via the app than going directly to the bar as you end up waiting for ages to be served. There should be a sign stating there is CCTV in the men's toilet as I only saw it when I looked up at the Ceiling. Everyone has to come inside at 10pm and most of the doors are locked so everyone has to come in and go out of the same door. The pub is very spacious inside and out with a great view of the city of London.

Its a very enjoyable spoons, have lots of very memorable nights here but the place is quite dilapidated. You will often find things broken at the table and even the seats falling apart. Staff are very helpful with orders. Pours pints well

Just received a ticket for parking!!! Thank you very much your SCAMMERS!!! Delayed my service to make profit on parking!!! Shame on you!!! Worst service ever. Nice area but service it's so poor. After more than 1.30h waiting and asking for the staff I was waiting a food for age came a manager saying they couldn't find me... So word because the drink came on time. I complained because I've ordered medium rare and it's more than done... He said it's the last one and didn't give me a chance to ask my money back. Don't go there there if you want eat. For drink it's ok and nice prices

Last bit of sun for 2023, nowhere better to go for a garden beer. Ordered on the app, they bring drinks direct to your table which seems very popular and in reasonable time. Plenty of space to park bicycles also around the car park. 👍

Huge pub which was well heated when I visited on a chilly day. Mobile reception was variable making ordering by app difficult at times. Guest ale was £2.39 and Guinness £3.49 for a pint, making this pub around half the price for beer than the pubs up the road to Camberwell Green. Easy to get to by public transport with bus routes 42, 68, 467 passing by and a short walk up the hill from Denmark Hill train station. If going by car there is a big car park, but bear in mind that there is a 2h 30min time limit.

We had large a crowd of family, both adult and children who called in on the off chance as our original venue was unable to accommodate us. The service was great. My daughter used the app. to order and our meals were brought to our tables very promptly by cheerful, helpful staff. The meals(breakfasts) were really very good and great value for the money. The staff were very good with the children who were boisterous after our long journey. I would not hesitate to recommend this particular venue to anyone looking for good, inexpensive food and friendly service.

The food was great with large proportion. The staff were warm as well as being helpful to it customers. There is a very family vibe which reminded me of all the things that is good about a pub that serves food. Parking was easy with plenty of spaces. I will definitely be going back again.

I love this JD Wetherspoon! The staff is always nice, the place is massive and the garden area is the best! Even when it's not sunny you can enjoy the scenery.

Fantastic big outdoor spaces - both a large garden at the front and a smaller covered section to the side. Table servers were quick and polite, and our steaks were cooked to perfection. We were there on a busy hot evening, definitely recommend using the app for table service when busy as the queue at the bar was crazy! Only recently rediscovered this pub and forgot how much I like it, will now be a regular go-to for us

I loved the experience I had at this weathersnoops the food was better than I expected to be honest, big seating space outdoors , indoors and car parking available tho I am not sure if it's free or time limited?

In the area on a training course. Needed somewhere to eat.. Once again never let down by wetherspoons. Ive been to many but Fox on the Hill the best I've found so far... and probably going to be hard to beat. And Gourmet Steak cooked to perfection.

Nice big pub, very traditional. Large car park. Good food and drink at great prices, excellent choice of ales. Place possibly needs a bit of a refurbishment, toilets definitely needs work done. Although it seemed a little short staffed they were friendly and helpful.

Ordered via the app. Lots of items unavailable but that could be because it was over the Christmas/New Year period. Drinks and food delivered quickly. Standard of food what you would expect from a Wetherspoons pub 😀

  • 5/5 Mathias O. 2 years ago on Google
Can't go wrong with such a massive Weatherspoon. A lot of outside space which make it perfect for summer. They even added mobile toilets on the car park - what could we ask more? Only negative is the cowboy at the entrance (security guy). Always bring a physical ID because sometimes they do check and phone versions are not accepted.

What's not to love?! Ice-cold Pepsi max delivered to your outside table in the shade on a baking hot day. Nice helpful staff, loads of outdoor seating, table service and sensible prices. Everything reasonably clean and tidy and the locals are friendly. Will definitely stop by again.

It would have been 5 stars if the apple pie was available. The food is great and my family and I really enjoyed ourselves. I also like the new app, very easy to use and order food.

I do understand why people love this place!! 🤩 Morning time Extremely cheap breakfast, free refills on hot drinks. Starts serving alcohol from 9am I think. 😁 Noon Very affordable drinks and great deals. 😁😁 I'm not vegetarian or vegan, but their "beyond burger" burger is the best!! 😁🤙
