My first ever trip to a micropub was a great one. A lovely place with a good selection of beers and ales. The beer garden was fab too. They also support local arts - yay! They're so friendly and welcoming.

Amazing beer in a lovely setting. The brewer was there to tell me about the beer - which was smashing. I'd totally recommend it to any beer lover.

Great bar with friendly knowledgeable staff. Produce their own beers which are definitely worth trying. There's always a decent selection of guest beers too.

Fantastic tap room for the Bexley Brewery. Run by the brewing family itself. They're always happy to chat about their own and guest beers on tap. A brilliant little gem that's the best place for a decent pint anywhere in the area! Best of all, it's situated right next to the station so it's now my local too.

I don't know why it has taken me this long to visit my local micropub. The Bird and Barrel is small (which is kind of the point with a micropub) and cosy. It has a very pleasant atmosphere, the other customers are as polite as the staff. The beer was excellent. It's taken nearly two years to get their the first time, but I won't be long before I make my second visit.

I love this pub. Firstly it has local beer. Secondly the guest kegs they have are generally awesome and rotate nicely each week. I drink in or get takeaway to have at home; there’s always something good there. It has a nice outdoor seating area for the warmer weather. There’s nothing not to like.

Popped in after a trip to the theatre, finished the day off lovely. Had a very warm welcome and chat while trying out a few of the recommended gins. Will definitely be going back.

Serves mostly Bexley Brewery ales but has guest ales from local and associated breweries. Good selections of beer cider and gin. Very good beers. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Table service and a weatherproof outside area. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Excellent local micro pub with a good selection of beers, including their own. Friendly and welcoming, with a small covered garden out the back, what more could you want.

Lovely local spot to have a few pints of ale/cider, contributing to independent/smaller brewers. Nice to have the rear beer garden added since some earlier visits 3-4 years ago, too. Great prices and friendly staff.

Super friendly little pub that always has interesting beers on. Little decked garden is a sun trap and always service with a smile. So happy this is our local!

Good beer, nice staff, pleasant atmosphere if rather noisy! Wide range of good craft beers (but, sadly, no best bitter on!)

Always a friendly crowd in here and the table service saves queuing. An ever rotating selection of Bexley Brewery beers plus guests are on offer on cask and keg, as well as a long cider list, wine and sprits.
