Nice venue for a gig. Good beer on tap. Very close to the underground station, literally opposite to the exit. Quiet park behind the venue if you wanted to relax for a moment.

Went to watch a live artist. The venue was a perfect size, not too big, not too small. The lighting was outstanding, and so was the quality of the speakers. The bar on the far end sold a nice range of drinks, too. Would recommend.

Nice place for concerts and meeting friends. I enjoyed the concerts and sounds. It is not that much place but I like it.

An amazing live must venue in Islington ! ... My first visit and will certainly go again ... The venue has hosted many big and up and coming Rock bands over the years !

The Garage was easy to get to, right opposite Highbury and Islington tube. A decent gig venue, it's a small standing-only venue on one level though the back area section is a bit raised. I had good uninterupted views of the stage and sound system was pretty good for yesterday's night event (ShePastAway). Do note that you are not allowed for re-entry to the building so you can go out for a smoke but you cannot completely leave and then come back! Ana amazing event overall and ShePastAway were phenomenal;)!!

Saint Agnes were epic. They rock the party that rocks the party. Solid sound system and intimate gig space. Was pleasing in the extreme

Best venue in London? Great staff, superb sound quality and loads of great bands. Saw Girls Against Boys tonight. Think I saw them first in the 90s. Still epic.

Saw Dinosaur Jr supported by Man On Man. Very good sound and excellent view standing behind the mixing desk. Beer pricey but okay.

Absolutely fantastic time seeing The Wurzles. Nice venue for it and wasn't too cramped but still had a great atmosphere and wasn't too bad to move about either. With most venues, the toilets could have some improvement, but I imagine these get some bad treatment from idiots a lot. Door staff, venue staff, and barstaff were all excellent, and were cheerful and welcoming, which is the complete opposite of what some people have put on here. Seems to me you have to be a complete idiot for these people to 'start'. Had a fantastic evening, and prices for drinks weren't as bad as I expected either. However, some proper cider wouldn't go amiss, eh? ;) I'd certainly return to this venue for another gig for sure.

First time I have ever been in the main room, great music venue. Photos are of Gong.

I was expecting to encounter mechanics and blokes applying a bit of T-Cut onto dinged Hillman Imps but not a single broken down car did I see. Instead, The Flatworms played a set which provided a lot of rock and a commensurate amount of roll which received a warm response from the assembled acolytes who were, I am reliably informed, 'wigging out' as well as 'going ape.'

Not too big. Not too small. Just enough for a crowd to form in great lightings and futurist/techno decor. Went to see Imminence here. Blown away, metaphorically and literally by the sound system.

Nice place, just in front of the overground and tube station. Pretty convenient. Big enough for the size of the gig I attended to. Stage was alright. Sound good enough. Lights were just a few and humble. Positive first experience there.

Such a good venue! Clean toilets, good layout and amazing sound. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the bar was awesome.

It's a cute little venue. Visited this February for the Cornelia Jakobs concert. I thought it was going to be quite echoey because of the shape of the ceiling but it was actually proven to be perfectly fine, although, the stage was quite small. I suppose you don't need much more for such a venue though. The venue did appear a little cold inside but it was pleasant with a coat on. Prices of drinks were decent and not awfully expensive. Didn't use the cloakroom but it was priced at Β£3.

Recently attended a concert. The only issue with such places is that if you’re short and you have a tall person in front of you- you cannot see the stage or the artist. I know one should arrive early to get the best place- but if screen could be put up on the sides so that might make the experience a bit better.

Great small/medium size venue. Decent acoustics for the size (I saw deep house / melodic techno) Usual layout with a decent bar at the back with a raised area giving a decent view. Standard range of draught beers but for the craft alers out there both Cloudwater and BBNo beers in cans in the fridge plus others - pretty decent. No reentry allowed the night I was there but with decent beers not a problem.

Went to see Full of Hell and Antichrist Siege Machine on the 9th Sept 2023, a decent show, but all the bands started way too late, it was poorly organized, and the strobe lighting was dangerously bright and annoying, I felt somewhat sick after several minutes and had to stay all the way back because of how bright the lights were. It's not my favourite concert venue in Islington, and my experience could have been way better, but at least drinks aren't too expensive.

Went to see Manchester Calling. Oasis,The Smiths and Stone Roses tribute acts. Brilliant night! Lots of fun. Very good venue. Reasonably priced drinks and easy to get to

Great venue, air-conditioned so didn't overheat. The sound stage was pretty great too. I don't think there's a bad view of the stage from anywhere in there. Security and staff were great too.

Really cool venue. Decent sound, beer is actually well priced for London. Men's urinal was almost overflowing, not sure if it made tipping point. Death From Above 1979, sounded amazing that night.

One of the best live music venues in London. Located 1 min walk from Highbury and Islington station, just across the street. Cloak room available for small price (cash or card). Drinks are good and most of all are not a rip off ,compared to other venues. Stage is fairly large and visible from every corner of the place. Sound was also very good. Best place is just behind the director's booth - right in the middle and has a shelf for your drink ;)

Arab strap band last night at The Garage... absolutely fantastic atmosphere, convenient location, just 3 minutes away from the tube station. Cosy size , so not too crowded, friendly staff so highly recommend.

Easy easy just in from of the tube and overground station exit. Nice venue for medium small gigs where you can appreciate the performance and sound better.

This place is perfect spot for metal gigs, not to small not to big. After gate, bar on left hand starts side and front main concert hall with second bar. Merch shop not to the front gate, but located in area where it's not blocking. A lot of room and good prices, Β£5.5 pint as I remember.

Lovely venue with even lovelier staff who did a great job of reassuring the LONGG line today when the band was running late :) it's a very intimate venue too which gets a little hot, but that's just gigs for u :D overall a wonderful experience. Would recommend for a good night out if u like who's playing!
