I would highly caution anyone to avoid using the gym. Several pieces of equipment are downright dangerous and an accident waiting to happen. There is mould in the water fountains and judging by the dust, most of the equipment has not been cleaned in a very long time. Avoid for your health.

This rating is a reflection of the disaster that is Fusion (the management company at Brockwell Lido). To swim at Brockwell Lido you have to first register for a Fusion account - this means going on their buggy website, receiving confirmation email, receiving confirmation text, address, date of birth, mobile number, meanwhile the website will probably crash so you have to reset your password via email, then also download the app, then re-register again.. then maybe get lucky and manage to book a slot in advance, but good luck as they seem to get booked up quickly. It's a good idea having the booking system but Fusion's implementation of the system is frankly appalling. The freshwater lido itself is a brilliant place to swim, with lanes and family areas. Sadly the changing rooms were filthy when I visited. Stank of urine, dirty toilet roll everywhere. Again, it seems like Fusion are really letting the maintenance and management of this amazing place down. The lockers took a £1 coin. I can't remember the last time I even saw a £1 coin. Total cost: £8 for a 50 minute swim, though I ended up staying for 2 hours as nobody can tell what time you entered. Hopefully this historic lido moves to better management in the future.

This place is such a disappointment . Gym is small and always packed, doesn’t seem to get regular cleaning. Heard someone loudly whining about having to hoover the filthy floor. App is completely useless making it impossible to book a swim. Not sure what’s happened to the lido capacity , looks half empty despite being advertised as full , also now just focuses on lane swimming so the fun vibe is gone. A crying shame as the lido is stunning, fusion lifestyle needs to have a word with themselves.

Beautiful any day, but especially in the summer sun! The lido itself is well maintained and beautiful, as is the sunbathing area. I would give the lido 5* except the women's changing room (poolside one) is always out of order these days, and now the showers in the gym changing room (which we are having to use instead) are 60% out of order so you have to queue while 4 of the 6 stand empty.

Edit: this place has really gone downhill recently. Attached photo of the jacuzzi really says it all. Great place to swim and gym all year round. The pool is large and in good condition (but be aware it is unheated so prepare wetsuits for winter months) and is surrounded by lockers and places to spectate and lounge in summer. However, the changing room could be cleaned more often but I do appreciate the warm showers and hair dryers. Inside the building is a surprisingly large gym and small spa area. Lots of machines and rooms for classes (but classes aren't included in many of the memberships - myself and my partner have the joint gym and swim membership which gives access to the lido, gym and spa and costs about £77 a month). The spa has a hydrotherapy pool, a steam room and a sauna in addition to loungers and showers. At the minute members still have to book time slots to use the facilities (and are subject to a charge if you don't turn up or cancel within the hour of the slot). Be aware that even as members swimming slots are booked very quickly so you have to be ready to check the app as soon as slots become available. Sad that the pool is closed after the sun sets as they don't have outdoor lights which means I can't use it after work from September, but you can still go early mornings or weekends.

Recently joined as a member and sadly have to say it is absolutely filthy! So disappointing because the facilities themselves are decent, and the pool is lovely but honestly have to say I was worried to have a shower, grime everywhere. The spa facilities look like they haven't had a deep clean in years. Management has to do something about it, or otherwise I'm sure it will fail its next health and safety inspection and will ultimately be closed down.

Have been a member for a couple of years and I'm sad to be having to stop my membership as this now is plain exploitation from Fusion of this space and our love for it. We have no hot water for a week now at the gym which is essential as well as having only two working showers for women in the whole gym for months now, a broken steamroom and hydro pool for a year and a half as well as a broken outside sauna for even longer. On top of that the pool is dirty and some of the running, cycling, the rowing machine and more are not working. Is been a joke and Fusion is taking advantage of the fact that people appreciated this local amenity. They are thieves really, false advertising all these amenities and basic facilities that don't work and don't exist.

Been going here 5x a week over last two years. Staff friendly and decent range of equipment. Message to management, spend some money on cleaning the gym! Some areas gathering dust and it's generally very dirty and pretty rank. Will update review after a clean!

This is a lovely lido but the changing room are so filthy it really put me off. The floor is disgusting and there is only one toilet working with long queues. They are constantly out of tokens for the safety storage so you have to leave your belongings unattended. When I left I saw a bag abandoned by the side of the road, it was obvious it had been stolen at the lido. They had to close lanes today because of staff shortage. Such a shame as this could be a wonderful place. Just get it cleaned and maintained!!

Twice my wife and son have booked for a swim, twice the pool was closed. Refund requested, no response. Happy to collect money not so good at giving it back.

Pro: -Cool swimming pool, perfect location. Cons: - The website is absolutely useless as it’s not working properly so never managed to book online in advance. Basically you have to turn up and hoping that the swimming pool is not too full. For instance, they didn’t let my friend in. -Some members of the staff are rude. Which it’s a shame as some other members are very helpful .

I don't really use any of the facilities, just the gym. Cheap membership for London, which is the only positive really. Not a lot of equipment in there and 3 machines are broken. Been that way for months, seems to be no desire or effort to get it sorted. It's pretty annoying when you just wanna get good workout in You get what you pay for I guess. If you can afford to go elsewhere, then definitely do.

Should be a 5 star place, the pool itself is lovely - but the website is literally unusable to the point of not being able to book 90% of the time (and they don't answer the phone either). The changing rooms are also often filthy, and the pool surround could use some work. Fusion Lifestyle need to lose their management contract.

The receptionist was quite mean to explain the new terms of the swimming pool… almost like she didn’t wanna even give the service she’s supposed to give kindly and informative specially when asked politely. She was more worried to continue the conversation along the young lady that was working at the shift one the Sat-16th July at 11:00. Maybe a raise on their salary will help them to give a better customer service

Had a brilliant couple of hours in the sunshine at this lido. It was well organised - had to queue to get in at arrival time so they could check booking details but it was fast moving and efficient. Having read previous reviews about the changing rooms we came dressed to swim so can’t comment on those. There was plenty of space around the pool to lay towels, and while we weren’t early enough to get deckchairs there were a good number of them. There’s a cafe doing pizzas among other things and, at the time of our visit, a food stall cooking fresh chicken. Only small issue was I didn’t have a £1 for the locker and reception is cashless so couldn’t swap my change for one, however the people running the food stall kindly did this for me. Selling locker tokens at reception would help. It was busy on a very sunny Sunday afternoon, but there was plenty of space in the pool and it was well lifeguarded and safe for kids with plenty of space for everyone and separate lane swimming. We used public transport but you can also park for free for two hours, although the car park is fairly small.

Awesome! Gorgeous pool, spacious and never overcrowded in the beautiful setting of Brockwell Park. Great way to spend a sunny day. The pizzeria café is excellent too. Highly recommend!

A living local legend, a lovely chilled and honest lido. No fancy gimmicks etc, there is a gym and other services on site too. Very much worth trying the pizza or grilled sandwiches.

For what this place may lack in facilities, it is made up in great staff. Shout out to Arya and Sterling for their kindness and warmth. You guys are great! A little sunshine and that pool is heavenly.

Lido is a great facility. Shame it's so filthy. Gym, changing rooms and showers are all disgusting 🤮 Broken, stinking toilets, most lockers don't work... everything is filthy! Please sack the useless management immediately and hire decent cleaners. This gym has great potential and would be an amazing if it was properly managed, maintained and cleaned. Such a shame 😢

Im so glad and lucky to a nice lido so close to me to do my 30 day swim challenge through the winter. The gym is a nice and spacious aswel. My only criticism is i wish the pool side changing room were as nice as the gym side. Thanks all :)

Love this place! I have been going here all my life and I have made so many fond memories here. The classes are fantastic and the gym has a variety of machines for all abilities. Cant forget the pool either... if you're brave enough to brace the cold its a fantastic experience.

Regular attendee, Lido is okay.. The gym facilities have seen better days. Combination of vandalism, plus the gym not receiving regular upkeep.. I don't know if it's a Fusion lifestyle issue, or general management. For example, the lockers in the men's are degraded badly and are barely usable. I went to have a shower the other day, and there was still an old plaster in there from the last time I used it. Peoples lack of cleanliness is bothersome.. I know its not easy with upkeep, but it's one of these places that would be sorely missed if not in the community.. Wonder if it would fare better in the hands of better gyms..

Very mixed bag. Pool is huge and really nice in the summer, most of the staff are very friendly though there are a few grumpy ones, and if you time it right the gym doesn’t get too bad. On the other hand, the website is unusable and the app is atrocious - both of which are a problem when it’s the only way to book a session. The changing rooms are an absolute disgrace, disgusting - it’s unbelievable that it’s allowed to stay open. The facilities, particularly the gym are in dire need of some maintenance with broken equipment and things missing etc. The lido is generally ok, but seems to be kept at a bizarrely low capacity which looks like bad business. The entire thing is mismanaged which is a crying shame given it’s such a fantastic facility to the area. Really hope that it gets passed on to a new owner and they clean up the mess created by fusion.

The lido itself is lovely, a great part of the community. The management by fusion and the quality of the gym are however dreadful. Gym has poor equipment, lack of attachments for the cables etc and there is no real sign of any investment any time soon

a mixed bag: on one hand the gym, swim and spa package is fairly priced, and the pool is delightful. Unfortunately, the spa is often out of action, the gym is small and lacks equipment (as well as being busy enough to seriously impede your workout at peak times), and sadly at times the staff seem disinterested.

  • 4/5 Lorena C. 2 years ago on Google
Despite a few transactional issues with my membership, the staff and all services at the Lido were wonderful. Plenty of space to swim as fast or slow as one wants, which is appreciated. Will definitely join back closer to spring - good luck to the brave winter swimmers! Would recommend an update on the Fusion Lifestyle app as a major improvement (I assume this is not the Lido's job though!).

If you are lucky enough as a local resident to be able to get through the incredibly slow booking system, only to find that all the lane swimming is booked up for weeks in advance, and you can't get a 'family swim' because you haven't got a child to go with you, and you remember how things were before the fancy redevelopment, all plate glass and swipe cards, when you could just show up at the turnstiles for a swim if the day was hot, then you will find this place a real disappointment. 'No, I am sorry sir, we only accept advance bookings.'
