A โ€˜properโ€™ backstreet boozer, tucked away in a thankfully un-gentrified area. A very traditional interior with good outdoor seating options, either at the front or in the large back yard. Great selection of well-kept ales; Timothy Taylor Boltmaker is a favourite of mine and was very good. Also serving freshly prepared pizzas and Thai food. Iโ€™m rarely in this part of London but will definitely return here next time.

๐Ÿ“ The North Star ๐ŸŒ Leytonstone ๐Ÿ› Attractive little two room pub with a small front garden and bigger back garden. Simply decorated indoors, mainly with nostalgic pictures of trains. ๐Ÿบ Large and unusual choice for a pub of its size and location. Credit to the landlord for the quality and range which was so big I had to move to halves to try it all and ended up pretty merry. @exalebrewing from #Walthamstow was on tap alongside @newbarnsbrewery from #leith and Estrella Galacia from #Spain, @lervigbeer @howlinghops and some ciders. โ„น๏ธ The pub's a bit of a walk from Leytonstone, which is a lengthy tube journey from a lot of places, but it's well worth a visit. ๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™‚๏ธ Great pub, @traindriversparky really enjoyed ourselves here. It also has an impressive collection of regulars too.

I found this pub on a Google post by My London and am very grateful. I knew the area, we used to call it Leytonstone Village, but didn't know about the pub. You'll see from the pics how attractive both the pub and village are. (Yes I know it's just behind the Green Man roundabout but it's still pretty lovely). The pub is busy and vibrant and they have food, a choice of pizza or Thai, random possibly but oh my. I am a Thailaphile, I made that word up, but I like Thailand very much and I've just enjoyed the best green curry I've had outside of Thailand and better than many I've had in Thailand itself. So terrific food, great location and good old British pub atmos. Who could ask for anything more?

What an amazing establishment, beautiful settings, warm & welcoming, staff were friendly, drinks were on point and reasonable, was surprised at the menu of Thai dishes and was very pleased with what I ordered from the menu, food was great, portions were on point with nothing to fault. I would highly recommend to visit with friends, children/family Perfect Friday evening for me

I have no doubt in my mind that The North Star is my favourite pub in the whole of E11. It really doesnโ€™t matter if youโ€™re sober as a judge or as drunk as a sailor when you walk through the door youโ€™re going to have a grand time. If you know about this pub already then kudos to you, if you donโ€™t get to know as itโ€™s fabulous!

This is truly a gem of a pub. I heard that they did Thai food,so l went to try some last night. I was so pleasantly surprised, not only was the Thai food great, the staff, the owner,so friendly and polite. I found out, they do pizza too, in the garden. A return visit to try the pizza, is in the diary already. A great pub,in a wonderful little village setting i

Lovely establishment with nice rustic fire oven pizzas which you order in a seperate area. The Thai food is authentic and very tasty, though it may not be top restaurant standard it is still very nice for pub food so to speak. The staff are very helpful even when ordering and the chef actually came out to ask how the food was and educated us on what other dishes to have or which condiments are best . Very happy with this place in most aspects Location is subtle and quiet 9/10 If it was in a busier location with a bigger venue/garden space then I would have no issues Highly recommend this place

What a delightful gem of an English pub! Lovely pizzas out back and a relaxed atmosphere. Try the cider. The little cottages around the pub and Wandsworth Flats just beyond. A really great piece of England.

A great, well-known, and used local. Go out the back (covered) for great oven fired pizzas or an awesome Thai meal . Good selection of beers and vino . I go there a lot .

Gorgeous little pub, we stumbled upon on Paddy's night, my Irish mates were drinking lager...not Guinness!? And when I walked in and saw the ales I was soooo happy. Every one a gem!

Always such friendly staff here, great drink selection and the choice of either ordering from the Thai kitchen or Pizza kitchen.. what more could you want!? Love sitting out the front on a Sunny day. Lucky to have this place as a local, it feels more like a village pub. Fair prices.

Good local pub, whilst being in London, you would think you are in small village outside London. The staff are very friendly and the real ales and the food are exceptional. The freshly made pizzas prepared in the kitchen in the outside seating area at the back of the pub are to die for. Highly recommendable.

Set on a lovely Georgian road, this pub has seating at the front and back. Lots of different ales and beers to choose from, wine and soft drinks of course. There are two types of food available here, great in house Thai food with lots of choice and Papis munchies pizzas located in the garden area which has a verity of vegan and vegitarian options. All the food is fantastic and can be eaten in any location of the pub. The staff are professional and friendly and has an all round good atmosphere. They're closed on Mondays. If you're in the area, this is one visit.
