My
recent
experience
with
Cadogan
Clinic
Was
extremely
disheartening
and
unfair.
Due
to
a
massive
protest
in
London,
all
motorways
were
severely
congested.
I
responsibly
informed
the
hospital
staff
about
the
situation
two
hours
before
my
appointment,
anticipating
that
I
might
not
make
it
on
time.
Unfortunately,
as
I
had
feared,
the
traffic
was
impossible
to
navigate,
and
I
had
no
choice
but
to
call
the
hospital
again
to
cancel
my
appointment.
To
my
dismay,
not
only
was
there
a
complete
lack
of
empathy
for
my
predicament,
but
I
was
also
informed
that
I
would
be
charged
a
£50
cancellation
fee.
This
felt
extremely
unjust,
considering
I
had
made
every
effort
to
inform
the
hospital
well
in
advance
about
the
potential
delay
and
eventual
impossibility
of
attending
the
appointment.
The
staff's
response
was
cold
and
unsympathetic,
showing
no
understanding
of
the
exceptional
circumstances
caused
by
the
protest.
Their
rigid
policy
did
not
account
for
situations
beyond
a
patient’s
control,
which
is
deeply
troubling
in
a
healthcare
setting.
This
experience
has
left
a
bitter
taste,
and
it's
alarming
to
see
such
a
lack
of
flexibility
and
compassion
in
handling
situations
that
clearly
warrant
it.
It's
disheartening
and
frustrating
to
be
penalized
with
a
hefty
fee
for
a
situation
I
had
no
control
over.
In
conclusion,
the
approach
and
policies
at
Cadogan
Clinic
regarding
appointment
cancellations
and
the
handling
of
extraordinary
circumstances
are
in
dire
need
of
review.
The
lack
of
consideration
and
the
imposition
of
an
unreasonable
fee
in
such
a
scenario
are
unacceptable
and
reflect
poorly
on
their
patient
care
ethos.
