Have been here twice now and had the cinnamon French toast both times! It’s delicious; definitely my favorite place to get French toast. Bacon and has brown was also great. Usually about a 15- 20 min wait time so I recommend getting there a little early!

Tasty eggs benedict with fruit, plus coffee for $16. Indoor or outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is right on a loud interesction (bunch of loud trucks and vehicles with sirens kept passing by), hence the 4 stars, but no complaints otherwise. Would try indoors next time.

Got the Spicy Mexican omelet with house made potato chips and a Cinnamon Honey latte (less sweet). The Cinnamon honey latte was perfect, not too sweet and came in a giant mug. Their potato chips were nice and crispy, lightly salted and tasted good with their sauce. The spicy Mexican omelet was delicious (not spicy though) and the hash browns were cooked well with a crunchy top layer. I added Tapatio & their salsa. Tasted great and I left VERY full. It's a cute little place on the corner with a inside and patio seating. Street parking is available, I didn't notice a parking lot.

Went to breakfast on a Saturday morning. Fortunately I was seated quickly. Seemed like a long time for our order to be taken. It also seemed like it took a bit for our food to come out. The Monte Cristo topped with strawberries and banana slices was ok. Not a fan of banana slices. Did not come with jelly as a typical Monte Cristo would. I'm sure that I could've asked for some however.

The tater tots were very crispy and good. The balance of sweet and savory of the Monte Cristo was good.

Great breakfast spot. We went there in the morning in a weekday day, not crowded. Poutine tots was delicious. Hash browns were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Barbacoa beef on top was flavorful and goes along great with potato tots. Service was great. The food took some time but we were chatting so didn't realize it took a while. I would recommend this spot to all my friends.

What can I say other than I love my breakfast and this place delivers! It's a busy spot, and we always have to wait for a table, but it's worth it! I enjoy their art and laid-back atmosphere while I sip my big cup of Mexican hot coco. Definitely, it is a family-friendly spot with delicious food. Do recommend this spot, but know that they get busy, so expect a wait.

Went here to eat some brunch with my mother on a Monday, and let me tell you this place does not disappoint. I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken Benedict and boy was I impressed. The food caught my eyes right away and the smell got me excited to eat. After the first bite I couldn't stop! The chicken was crisp, the eggs were perfect, and the hollandaise sauce was fantastic. Also came with a side of homemade hash browns! 10/10 can't wait to go again!

I used to come to this place years ago. It was one of my favorites. I came here a couple of days ago and I'm so disappointed. The food, service and atmosphere is so different, not in a good way. The staff are friendly but not attentive. Had to keep asking for everything from silverware to syrup for the pancake. It wasn't busy, maybe 3 other tables when we got there. Definitely won't be going again.

Me and my work crew stumbled upon this hidden gem, the services was excellent and very friendly. Let me tell you about the food I order the fresh tuna and it was absolutely amazing with the side of chille chicken it was so flavorful. Next time I'm out here I'm definitely gonna come back, thank you guys so much for a real good experience.

They do not have a lot of vegan options, but the Tofu with veggies and hash brown was great. My waitress was very kind and I had a great time.

I don't know if I just had a bad experience, because the gentleman beside us was raving about the food and service. Service was exceptional! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Made us feel welcome. I ordered a cup of fruit to start, now I don't know if it was from packaging or actually mold, but the fruit, specifically the strawberries, appeared old and turned. There was a small green fuzz on one of the strawberries, and I am very allergic to penicillin (a mold) so I sent it back and the waitress took it off our check with no problem. Issue fixed! Then I ordered the Egg Flower Benedict. The first of the two was perfect, beautiful runny yolk, nice and warm, delicious! I took a bite of the second and got a mouthful of egg shell, and not a small peice, at least a quarter sized section of shell. Needless to say, I spit it out and at that point was done with my meal. The waitress gave me a complimentary banana chocolate bread slice, which was delightful and warm. But for two people I wasn't a fan of spending nearly $50 for that meal. Service was very friendly and I didn't ask for a refund, which maybe I should have, but we won't be coming back.

Came here with some family from out of town for the first time. It's a lovely location. Cozy inside. The 5 of us were seated within 2 minutes. There was abit of a rush once we arrived and so our food took a minute to get to us ... however the wait was worth it. The brownie pancakes were Amazing!!. Also get the tater tots you won't be disappointed

I personally enjoyed the pancakes my hubby didn't care for the omelette, it wasn't hearty enough for him. I waited for a coffee refill that I didn't get until we were ready to leave. It was pretty busy so I understand but I really wanted a refill.

Stopped at Blackbird this last weekend for brunch. We sat on the front patio to enjoy that morning sun. Wasn't too busy. and staff was super friendlym My friend and I both got the Dos Caballeros Eggs Benny and the meal was DELICIOUS. Also got the guava mimosa which was super tasty with breakfast. Highly recommend if you're looking for a delicious but low key brunch spot.

Friendly staff. Limited menu (dad was looking for Carne asada but was happy with what he got which was the French toast). Felt cozy. We all loved the tater tots, they were super light, crispy and just the right flavor.

Most importantly the food was amazing and you get your moneys worth. I got the cal heights omelet and my husband got the Juan Wayne, both so delicious. I understand we went during a late Saturday morning so it was very busy and maybe next time it will be a better dining experience. We had to make quite a few corrections when our food arrived even without any special requests and the mimosas was mostly OJ which felt like a waste of money tbh. Our table was so small we were struggling to fit our meal and our table was placed in the way of the flow of traffic. It was so hard to feel comfortable and sadly this is what I will remember the most about this place. It is a charming neighborhood corner cafe and I’m Sure I’ll be back because my husband absolutely loved it, just hope next time it’s a better experience.

Hidden Gem. A local's favorite. Smaller, intimate breakfast/ lunch cafe with a creative blend of scrumptious American & Mexican dishes, as well as creative, bountiful beverages. Prices were very reasonable, especially considering the amount & quality of food received. And, the waitresses are fun... an added delight. Both indoor & outdoor seating compliment the charm of this "I'll definitely return" Long Beach find.-- Only downside was parking is a challenge, but it was worth the 1/2 block stroll. $$

I would of rated this place 2 stars just for the food but their service was nice and they were not too busy since we got there at their a little after they opened. We ordered veggie scramble, henny Benny and the Cubano Benedict. The best part of the breakfast was our drinks which were Bloody Mary’s. The hollandaise sauce for both our Benedict was broken and I’ve never seen such a poor attempt for the sauce. The egg yolks were over cooked and not poached properly. The restaurant has an entire Benedict section yet it serves the sauce for both our sauces broken.

I'm never disappointed when I come here I love the little old ladies who work here they are so sweet and always makes me so happy. I ordered the vanilla swirl French toast SO GOOD YOU NEED IT! with a horchata latte not as good as the honey and cinnamon Latta I added honey to mine. I added the combo as well and a cup of fruit so it is a little spendy but this place is such a diamond in the ruff it's worth it to me I love coming here it's almost a little tradition for me and my dog. This is my go to spot for a cute homey breakfast.

The last time I ate here was more than seven years ago, so was excited to revisit it, and really enjoyed my time! Waitress very friendly, and helpful. Clean, and atmosphere was nice! Ordered the mimosas by the mason jar. We loved everything we ordered! I will miss this place when I move away!
