Such a cute place to come for brunch or just to hang out and have a nice lunch . This place has such a good vibe great customer service and it's honestly beautiful with the birds outside its pet friendly . Honestly such a gem!

This is now my personal favorite spot to go for coffee, tea and a light lunch in downtown Long Beach! The food and drinks were perfection with very fresh and flavorful ingredients. A wonderful pickled jalapeño and carrot side was served with the sandwich. Just check out my photos. There is so much vintage stuff to see at Birdcage!! Light jazz playing inside, peaceful vibe, gorgeous/healthy plants, and the owner is really sweet and cool 🏳️‍🌈 I had the turkey sandwich and iced latte this time and look forward to going back to try more menu items. My friend enjoyed a wonderful iced tea and there was plenty sandwich for the two of us!

Had such a nice breakfast here today with my boyfriend! We tried the top pick coffee, onion bagel, Parmesan bagel and blueberry muffin. All very delicious and nicely displayed! Very nice owner, friendly and helpful. Good music, interesting and fun decor. An all around good experience. Would highly recommend! ☕️

I'm new to living in Long Beach but am so thankful to be a quick walk away. Finally some place that has Lavazza coffee! It's a very cute and personal establishment. In a week, I've been here 3 times now! My new place!

I live right next to this place. I wanted to give it a try, we ordered a latte and a croissant, the croissant was decent, the coffee on the other hand was absolute trash , just sugar and water, and what made this place even worse was the customer service, I politely asked for a different latte because the one I got was very sweet and I offered to pay!!! the guy was extremely rude lecturing me how he’s loosing money after I already offered to pay. 0 stars for the customer service. I’d rather go to colonial bakery where they’re always nice and accommodating. Stay away!

I must say, the owner is a wonderful guy. Very kind hearted. I had no cash with me on my first time coming in. Instead of sending me to the ATM, he told me to just pay him next time! What a rare gem to find a place like this. They serve Italian coffee which I had never had. The atmosphere is something I had been searching for in a coffee shop since I moved from the Northwest recently.

I live very close to this shop but don’t go very often. Every time I go their service and the overall quality of their product is top notch. However the 5 Stars is for a simple interaction I had with one of their employees; I ordered a large iced coffee and a pastry as I was with my 4 year old daughter. After the gentleman behind the counter gave me the two items I realized I hadn’t brought my cash or debit card. The individual stated that it was no problem and to just pay me back tomorrow as if I was a regular or something. He was willing, without skipping a beat, to give me their wares for free. Luckily my wife was close and I was able to pay my bill but this interaction always stuck with me.

The best coffee shop! The caramel frappe is the best I have ever had. It was sweet but not a sugar bomb like some frappes are and still had a very nice expresso/coffee flavor. And the red eye coffee was a great strong coffee option! You cannot go wrong going here and everybody was so friendly.

So happy they're open again. Such a beautiful aesthetic! Delicious coffee and yummy sandwiches. I ordered a raspberry latte it was very tasty, and my boyfriend ordered an americano and he was pleasantly satisfied. ALSO, everyone was so friendly. Definitely my new go to coffee spot.

Great coffee! Check out the Birdcage for some fantastic local flavor and interesting variety. Be sure to bring your cash. That's all they take, and it's totally worth the tiny inconvenience. This is basically a kick back coffee lounge. The outdoor seating is nice and relaxing. The drinks are delicious. And the service has always been top notch. This small business is neighborhood friendly and I love living close by. This place is totally worth a visit whenever you are close by!

Birdcage is a hidden gem in downtown long beach! Very cozy and welcoming environment. Beautiful side patio with lots of plants. Owner is very nice and hospitable. I got the tuna crossaint for breakfast and it was so good as well as the iced coffee. Highly recommend!

Lavazza shop so no fresh roasts or legit single origin though the name leads on to believe they are a craft coffee shop. You can only be buying a bag to take home lol

I have been there several times. The sandwiches are delicious and the coffee as well. The atmosphere is inviting with nice plants and painting. The owner is very friendly and great personality. I really recommend it!!

This place is the best coffee shop in the area! Owner is an extremely gracious person. The coffee I had, a Vanilla Frappe, was really good too. They only accept cash, and you will have to pay for a parking meter. .

Super cool little spot, tucked out of the way. As others have pointed out, it's Cash Only; I didn't have any and the barista (owner I think?) gave me the coffee even though I didn't have any cash! Great service I will definitely be back here for coffee or for lunch. What a great experience.

Sounds and looks like a great place. New to the area and was looking for somewhere to grab a bite and work on my laptop for an hour. Didn't make it very far. The CASH ONLY sign stopped me. I don't and won't carry cash. Too bad.

Eleno ( the owner) is very friendly and is quick to serve you. Today I had the Ham and swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and jalapeño on a croissant. So delicious I forgot to take a photo! I'll be back for the Tuna tomorrow.

Got the Azteca Blend, reallyyy good, also tasted the Chai Vanilla blend and also bomb. Both has espresso blends Then we had a dos xx and a negra modelo LIMES WERE FRESH AF The woman attending us was super sweet. Glad we stopped here. From texas btw haha
