The
staff
is
great
and
the
gym
has
great
equipment
but
the
1
star
review
reflects
the
noise
level
from
a
few
members
and
some
of
the
staff
who
drop
heavy
weights
when
they're
working
out.
I
thought
I
was
alone
on
this
so
I
actually
walked
around
the
gym
to
talk
to
people
who
seemed
visibly
upset
when
someone
would
drop
their
weights.
They
said
they
didn’t
like
the
noise
but
they
also
didn’t
really
want
to
say
anything
to
avoid
the
hassle.
I
saw
only
one
other
person
speak
to
the
front
desk.
I
spoke
with
the
manager
who
agreed
with
me
on
the
noise
issue.
He
shared
a
story
that
there
was
an
older
woman
in
yoga
class
who
complained
about
the
noise
from
upstairs.
I
was
referred
to
the
regional
manager
who
told
me
that
“The
dropping
of
weights
has
been
adopted
and
embraced
by
Goodlife"
and
"we
can
do
better."
Embracing
it
was
about
using
proper
technique,
however
I've
seen
many
people
slowly
lower
their
weights,
so
that
reason
is
hard
for
me
to
agree.
I
still
go
because
it’s
close
by
and
convenient
but
if
someone
has
heavy
weights
to
drop,
I
just
ignore
it.
In
essence,
I'm
told
they're
allowed
to.
If
you're
considering
a
membership,
check
out
all
gyms
before
deciding
on
this
one
if
noise
is
an
issue.
I
understand
you’ll
never
have
a
quiet
gym
but
dropping
heavy
weights
when
a
sign
says
“Do
Not
Drop
Weights”
seems
to
be
a
mismanaged
club
policy.
