Are ok, but tbh to be an actraction belonging to the UNESCO heritage are not well taken care of and most of them are closed. Like all the city is generally overrated. You can spend here 3 or 4 days but no more ... These people should learn from London, where all the museums have free entry and touristic attractions are much better preserved.

Molto affascinanti questi passaggi o "traboules" di Lione. Sono ricchi di storia da scoprire, che riportano indietro nel tempo.. Ce ne sono diversi sparsi nella cittĂ , contrassegnati da insegne.

There are people who are still staying there so please respect their privacy and keep the noise down. You can't really go up to many Traboules. You can see from outside.

While traveling I like to post "doors of" series. It's fun, shows a different perspective on the community visited. Lyon Old Town was a pleasure to visit.

Went to discover the traboules in Lyon after having lunch in a nice bouchon. It’s amazing! You basically find doors with a brass plaque and enter. You find yourself in a real piece of history. You have to be mindful people live in these buildings so best to stay discreet. Lastly, there is an app to download that allows you to find them all if you’re up for it.

Not easy to find. If and when you do find one remember to be respectful of the people who live there. Keep it quiet. Past tourists have been really loud and rude. Now some Traboules are being closed off to the public. They're keeping them open until about 7pm. If you look for doors that have a brass plaque lext to them that'll help you find which ones are open to the public.

(Translated by Google) Visited on a hot August day and a more than pleasant place. Discovery following reading of guide and documentation on the place. Many details not visible but with a little research...surprise assured. Pleasantly surprised by the successful cohabitation between locals living on site and tourists. At the end of the exploration, pleasant surprise guaranteed with an exit to a small street in old Lyon.

We loved walking through the Traboules. Very interesting. Some great courtyards to lookup and take photos.

Can be hard to find the entrances, look for the markings on the streets with the lion heads.

Just a so-called secret passageway going through the buildings though they had some interesting history behind them.

Beautiful cathedral in Lyon. A wonderful two in one visit is taking this in and then hopping on the funicular up to the Fourvière!

Plutôt sympa! Rapide à visiter, mais compliqué à trouver, c'est comme des passages secret entre les immeubles...

Discovering the Hidden Passages of Les Traboules du Vieux Lyon: A Promising but Underwhelming Experience While the experience had some exciting elements, overall, I must rate it 3 stars out of 5. Les Traboules du Vieux Lyon is a network of hidden passageways that connect buildings in the historic district of Lyon. As someone who enjoys exploring hidden gems in new cities, I was intrigued to see what Les Traboules had to offer. The passageways themselves were fascinating, and I enjoyed the feeling of discovering something off the beaten path. However, the overall experience was underwhelming. One recurring issue I noticed was the lack of signage and direction. It was challenging to navigate the passages without a map or guide, and even with one, some passages were closed off without explanation. Additionally, the passageways were dimly lit and often cramped, which made for an uncomfortable experience. On the positive side, the passageways themselves were historical and provided a glimpse into Lyon's past. However, the lack of additional information or context made it difficult to fully appreciate the significance of what we were seeing. If Les Traboules du Vieux Lyon were to improve, I would suggest investing in more signage and informative displays to help visitors navigate the passages and understand their historical significance. Additionally, more attention to the lighting and overall ambiance of the passageways could make for a more enjoyable experience. In conclusion, while Les Traboules du Vieux Lyon was a promising concept, the execution left something to be desired. For those interested in history or off-the-beaten-path experiences, it may still be worth a visit, but be prepared for some confusion and discomfort along the way. I would recommend it to others with a caveat, but personally, I'm unlikely to visit again anytime soon.

Pretty cool! The only traboules we successfully found and entered. Enter through the door on Rue des Trois-Maries which appears to be propped open regularly. The western door can also be entered by pushing the button.
