If you come from the Basilica, take the long staircase which will take you into old Lyon (rue du Boeuf).

A long staircase on the slope leading from the old town to the top of Fourvière Hill and up to Notre Dame Cathedral. It is quite physically demanding to climb all the way up. It is best to take the cable car up to the cathedral and then visit here by descending.

The path does not consist of just one staircase, there are several that serve as shortcuts. The general path itself is nice, unfortunately the rose garden was closed.

Descending from Fourvière Hill. You can see the old town. I laughed at the very long stairs. The climb seems to be difficult as there are no retirement points.

This staircase is so special. Incredibly long and incredibly tiring. Still a clear recommendation. But every now and then you pass the sewers, which can of course spoil the experience of the stairs.

It is a challenge to climb this steep staircase in the old town of Lyon, but it is worth it!

As you climb these steps, you are transported to another era, admiring the breathtaking views of the city below.

Funny to go down but a horror to go up! And it's worse in this heat!
