You want the mountains, you want areas untouched by civilization... Go to Valea Berii by car, park it and then explore the forest! All day fresh air, landscapes torn from stories, in the evening back to the car with imagination at work. Are you dreaming!?! You will definitely come again, maybe see the unexplored forest. But please respect NATURE! WHEN I LEAVE TAKE ALL THE GARBAGE WITH YOU!

Too bad for the beautiful scenery! The cretins destroyed the tourist route that descends from the Red Mountain, to the Keia factory, entering with the TAFs on it. Not even an announcement, something to put/say/prevent, so that people know that they have started cutting down the forests in the area of this route, with the tourists next to them. After the mud was up to your knees because of the fallen trees and dragged through the entire river bed, where the route also passes, you still had to be careful not to let a tree fall into your tiller. Beautiful country, but led by some idiots, too bad! 🤬

The picturesque landscapes of Ciucas, dominated by the imposing rocks, give you a feeling of freedom that you can only know by conquering the heights. Although it does not have very high altitudes in which the ridges are reflected, Ciucas compensates with enchanting views and the peace of the forests, whose silence is broken only by the chirping of birds. I recommend the Cheia resort route - Valea Berii - Cabana Ciucas (3h - 3½h, medium difficulty). Special equipment is not mandatory; the route, forest road combined with the DN, passes near: the keia factory, the trout farm, the spring of Prof. Nicoale Ioan, the stable, the ridge called the Căprioara hoof and the Teleajen river. From the date of the review I can mention that from the altitude where the teacher's fountain works, the snow cover appears.

Petru, easy access to Ciucas peak, we chose the option to go up by car from the cabin, for a fee, to the Ciucas cabin, from where the red tape route takes 1.5 hours. I don't recommend walking, it's dusty from the cars venture to the cottage
