Very nice and well attended to by some good staff. Clean and bright inside , very airy and spacious. Good external area and what looks like Three private dining rooms. We had a pizza each, One of which was a vegetarian option. The menu was varied and looked interesting for a return visit. Car parking near to the entrance. Overall a nice lunch in a nice place.

Lovely place to stay. It comprises of half a dozen or so, self contained units that are really nicely fitted out and although they are in the pub grounds, they are still secluded away from the 'general customers'. (I've added a couple of photos) Breakfast was included and was of a high standard. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and that was fab too. It's worth noting that they do 'specials' on certain nights like 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for about £50 We will definitely be returning

Overnight stay for my birthday. We absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back! The rooms are so quirky, very spacious and comfortable. Only nitpick would be the curtain instead of a bathroom door but I appreciate it's a stylistic choice. Our evening meal was delicious, the cocktails are a little bit pricey (after 6pm) but so tasty. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and Tia who served us was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was also yummy, and to have it included with the room was fab. Such a lovely place to relax and enjoy yourself. The first of what I hope will be many visits!

My boyfriend and I stayed overnight on a Sunday in one of the "cabins" and we really enjoyed it. They're set back from the pub/restaurant and feel quite private....noise from other guests was minimal. Cabins themselves were rustic, clean and with great modern amenities. The shower was amazing and fits two easily :) Would have been great if there has been a mini fridge but definitely not a deal breaker!!

Visited the Potting Shed for a Full English Breakfast including Black Pudding. This was the first time partaking of Black Pudding. I found it very good. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Ample parking, outside Bier Garten, and gathering/outside covered/enclosed party venue. Definitely worth the visit!!

Lovely late Sunday lunch We had a delicious meal on Sunday late afternoon. We arrived around 4pm, the car park was overflowing but we were lucky with a spot. As I am immunosuppressed I was looking for a table outside and socially distanced. We were lucky to sit where I could safely enjoy thing I no longer take for granted. We have a puppy and although it was heaving with other diners and their dogs we could keep her easily by our table on a lovely piece of grass. We had a couple of sharing plates for starters and a chef's special and one dish of the a la carte Mains menu. The fish and the pork were delicious with good variety of fresh and tasty vegetables. A truly enjoyable treat! Thank you.

Chanced upon this brilliant place while searching for nearby food to Leeds Casfle and it certainly did not disappoint. The property consists of a quaint hotel and a restaurant. It has more than ample parking for guests and a lovely garden/outdoor area to have meals though we sat indoors as it is summer. We were greeted and served by 2 of the most friendliest servers we have ever met! They were so welcoming, helpful and they just love their jobs. The restaurant is beautifully decorated to the its name and its kids friendly with high chair. Food came really fast and we like how the ingredients were all locally sourced from farms in Kent/Canterbury. Not forgetting that it was really delicious too! This was one of our favorite memories of our trip and we will definitely be back for more.

Came here for dinner with some friends it's a busy place, a little on the noisy side but this didn't take away from the evening. Our server was brilliant although I didn't get her name. But she was funny and bubbly even joining in with the ribbing of our younger guest. Food was good I went for the mackerel fillets which were huge but had food envy when the fish and chips came out. Four people with meals and drinks for just under £150 was a good price as well.

A stunning place to eat, drink and soak up the sun. The service is fantastic and met with smile, it can get busy but you can see why! Lots of room for children to run around with an adventure play ground for them to explore. The food is phenomenal! A great visit!

Nice atmosphere but food was very average, nothing special. Garlic bread was really dry, chips weren't the best, fish was great. Must of changed hands as the waitress wasn't bothered with us, no refill on drink offered, didn't clear our starters so when the mains came it was awkward. For the price we paid it wasn't worth it, we haven't been out in years (can't really afford it) and it's completely put us off ever going back. It used to be amazing food and staff. Very disappointed.

Absolutely lovely food (I had fillet steak) and a great, lively atmosphere. The food is priced accordingly and you will not go away feeling hungry!! A real quality restaurant. A shame about proximity to the road but that's certainly something out of their control!!!

Four of us met up for breakfast. Nice large car park and a lovely looking outside area. The staff were friendly and room was warm and a really nice vibrant place to be. I had the Great British Breakfast and swapped out the back pudding for another Cumberland sausage. Really good food which we all enjoyed with a pot of tea each.

Not one for reviews, but just stayed as a wedding party in all the rooms for 2 nights and we were all very impressed and had a fantastic restful stay. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the rooms were nice and replenished with refreshments whenever asked and the breakfast that is included was superb. Didn’t eat in the restaurant for dinner so can’t review the food, but on arrival the car park was over flowing so a good sign, but checking in between 6-8pm meant it was hard to find parking, but not the venues fault For being popular as there is a fair amount of space. In all recommend and would love to stay again.

The potting shed is usually great, but we went around 4pm on a Sunday this visit and unfortunately the roast ingredients all tasted like they were cooked a few hours earlier. I get it, but not the nicest dining experience. Will def go back as it’s one of the nicest restaurants in the area.

2 stars only because of the food and service. Food is big no we tried kebab, chefs special and pizza. Chefs special was cold, kebab was dry and Fries cold too. The girl who brought the food to the table we asked for the forks she brought them and drop in the table. All bill comes with 12.5% charge but it is no service if you sit outside you need to order at the bar. Atmosphere is very nice but food definitely big no for us.

We loved our stay at the Potting Shed. We were here only for the night as we were attending a wedding 20mins drive away. The place was easy to find. Check in was smooth, we were able to get into our rooms early which was nice, gave us time to prepare. The next morning, we ate breakfast in the restaurant which was nice and airy, we ate outside. The service by Michaela and Andreea were excellent. They were so friendly and always had a smile on their faces. They always came up to ask if everything was good. There is plenty of parking and even an EV charging spot. Our overall stay in the Potting Shed was great. We would definitely stay again, given the chance.

I think Scrooge was in charge of the starters, two tiny pieces of toast with the baked camenbert, and just 5 little white bait for 5.50 a plate.. and as for the Terine, dry as scrooges old shoes... mains were fine and the pizza actually very good.. hence the balanced score... service was a bit thin on the ground but polite and friendly when it arrived..

We went on a Saturday evening, expecting big things after good reviews. The food was nice, we ordered the burgers and then a dessert each. It was tasty but I was expecting more. Maybe we just ordered the wrong thing! Service was ok, they forgot my olives for starter and we had to get them removed from the bill.

What a fantastic place to eat. We came for dinner with friends and a little one. The venue itself was modern, rustic, cool, smart, quirky, huge, split into a bar area with TV and restaurant with open plan kitchen and pizza oven. It was just everything all rolled into one. Superb, hands-on, knowledgeable service of a clean, tasty and all local ingredients menu. Prices were reasonable and menu eat pitched just right to cover every possible requirement with the expert waiters able to advise and amend as needed. Family friendly but nooks for cozy, large tables for groups - and TV tucked away area for the pub feel. We will definitely be back to this gem.

Nice pub, but accessibility and facilities needs drastically updating. We attended this evening for dinner with my disabled sister to be told we should have disclosed that someone with a disability was attending the dinner, however there is no accessibilty requirement when booking a table and also, there is no need to for this to be disclosed. They also informed us that there wasn't any disabled toilet and the venue is not wheelchair friendly at all. We also have newborn baby who needed to changed and my partner went to change them and he was informed that there is only changing facilities in the women's toilets, considering we are in 2023 this seems very behind the times and even the facilities to change a baby are not private and are not suitable as it in front of the sink which all toilet users are using - God forbid that my partner was attending alone I am not sure where he would be able to change them. We were extremely disappointed that in the current times we are still facing accessibility barriers, which other hospitality venues are leaps and bounds ahead.

The Potting Shed is a dog-friendly restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, a varied menu, and a wide selection of drinks and cocktails. The staff are very friendly here, but the price of the food is quite expensive for some dishes and drinks - £4 for a pint of Pepsi...💲💲💲 As neat and pretty as the place is, the real letdown is some of the prices which makes me hesitant to return although I know I'll enjoy the experience. Booking is available on their website which is easy to use ☺️

I visited this lovely place yesterday morning, I was presented with a menu once seated. The menu had no prices ......the food was great but not worthy of the (roughly) £18.00 cost (English breakfast and a cup of tea). I'm fortunate to be able to afford to pay this and walk away, but I would never revisit this establishment. All pubs and restaurants should display their prices clearly to their customers. Restaurants must show prices with their menu at or near their entrance so people will know how much they'll be charged

We finally visited The Potting Shed after several recommendations from friends. We weren't disappointed. The restaurant is beautiful. It has such a warm atmosphere. It was pretty quiet (on account of it being King Charles' Coronation). I ordered the quiche and my husband ordered fish and chips. The food was excellent - good quality and well cooked. If I was being picky I would prefer to have had the quiche served hot, but that's a personal preference. We also enjoyed a mock tail-apple and elderflower fizz. It was delicious. Service was great-friendly and welcoming and I know we'll definitely be back.

Really great sausage roll... Its a good family place to visit. Needs a bit of a face lift SO SORRY MY REVIEW WAS FOR ANOTHER PLACE I WENT TO NEAR BY. AFTER 1 MONTH IN UK. AND VISITING MANY EATERIES I WAS CONFUSED. i thoroughly enjoyed my visit, we didnt eat there but my daughter has and says it was very good. We sat in the garden and our drink was well made. Love visiting the Elite pub family! Had a spendid visit at the potting shed and such kind, genuine service from Stacey and Vicki! So nice of Vicki to give recommendations too! Food is always yummy and nice to have a different menu every time we visit, lots of vegan options too. Can’t wait to come back! Thank you!

Top secret awesome gastro pub hidden in an idyllic location close to the world famous Leeds Castle. I have been coming to this venue for the past few years and it never disappoints. Service and food are top notch but be warned book ahead, otherwise its hard to get a table especially evenings and weekends. I wholeheartedly recommend the pizzas which are of course cooked in a clay oven. Just sublime.

Great service, nice atmosphere and loads of seating inside and out. We supported the Elite Pubs group throughout the lockdowns, so it's great to see them thriving since. They use local ingredients in all their food and stock local drinks as much as possible, which is a nice break from normality. There's lots of parking too.

This was my third time going to the potting shed. It is a really safe option to choose for vegans who are dining with omnivores. I had the vegan Sunday roast dinner, which was really good. I usually have the banana blossom fish and chips alternative. The starters were a bread basket with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, which is plenty for two people. Alongside this, we had a small portion of the banana blossom battered fish substitute. We were too full for desserts really, but my partner chose the vegan cheesecake, which I had a little bit of! It was really good. and it was a bit of a shock when we got the bill as it was £175 between four of us! That was for four starters, four mains, one dessert and one coffee, and maybe a Guinness! However, I will visit again. It is a light and airy restaurant with seating outside, as well as little private dining shacks that you can hire. The members of staff are very friendly and helpful. Recommended!

Lovely place to eat 😋 We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was very busy but with a relaxed atmosphere. We sat on the terrace and mostly ordered pizza as the other meals were more expensive. Pizzas were amazing, and everyone enjoyed the puddings. Good selection of beverages, pleasant decor. Especially liked the doggy meal option for our pooch. Great service. 👍

Stayed here for work. What a treat! Quirky rooms in the 'Lodges'. So well done and very spacious. Would have loved to stay longer. Whole place had lots of character and well worth visiting. Food also very good. We had to miss breakfast unfortunately as not served until 8 a.m which was disappointing as I imagine it would be very good.

On the basis of their turmeric latte, I liked it and would visit again. I'd like to try again, because friends keep telling me their food menu is good, I wasn't impressed prior to this but willing to try more from the menu. The tables are too close together making it very noisy. Lucky to get a parking space. I'll walk next time.

Had a delicious meal there last night with my granddaughter. Very impressed with how people who have food intolerances and preferences are catered for. I ate from the vegan choices and the food was excellent. Service good too. Served by Nathan.

Nice country pub. Came in for lunch. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The service was pretty fast. The food was good. The decoration and ambiance was really nice. I will return in the spring summer as they have a nice outdoor area and the prices are reasonable.

Dog friendly pub with good food and drinks. We went with two dogs and had a nice relaxing lunch in the garden. We've also been here for quick pizza meals as they have the best in the area. Plenty of space for parking.

The venue setting is nice but the food was similar to normal pub food just presented in a fancier way! for pricing and value no where near, very overpriced for what you get and despite the restaurant being barely busy the service was very slow and not very attentive and when paying they add on the 12.5% tip without even asking if we would like to once we discovered when checking the bill after which we thought was slightly cheeky!
