Beautiful pub in Bearstead, we had the Portehouse steak which was huge, and the pork belly which was melt in the mouth soft. Best chips I've had in a long time the chefs here must be really on their game. Outstanding food, very friendly staff and an overall fantastic pub. I highly recommend a visit.

Pleasant pub with really good food and best. There were three local ales. Service was friendly and efficient in good environment. Plenty of parking and easy to get to.

Very very busy on a Sunday evening, which meant slightly slower service I guess. My partner wasn't given a steak knife for her mains, and didn't really enjoy her steak - was really salty, the sauce was over £3 which I thought was expensive. My ribs were really nice, kids enjoyed their dinners. Would probably visit again, staff seemed friendly.

Visited twice in February 2023 whilst visiting Bearsted. On both occasions (Monday and Friday) the quality of food and service was consistently excellent. A fantastically run village pub on the Green with a great atmosphere, a solid line up of Shepherd Neame Ales and first class hearty food.

Staying in a local caravan site phoned so see if we could take the dog in with us and we were booked into the bar. The food was excellent, best ribs my partner has tasted. Service was excellent as well. Prices were very reasonable. Would highly recommend.

Great portion sizes and for a reasonable price. Very nice atmosphere and vibe. Good staff. My steak was slightly over cooked - maybe should have asked for a rare. My calamari was really nice and also the garlic bread we got for the table

I have always loved this pub, fantastic food and atmosphere with lovely staff, however, the last couple of times I have visited I have been disappointed, went today as a last chance and was so happy that the fabulous food has returned. Great meal in great atmosphere with lovely friendly staff. Looking forward to next visit

What an excellent pub/restaurant. The food was delicious - we had the shrimp and crab tagliatelle, and the skate. Best skate I've had, beautifully delicate. Food cooked to order so be prepared for a wait. Staff were superb, friendly, attentive and helpful. Highly recommended

Amazing food. Just had the juiciest, most flavoursome burger I've ever had. Family enjoyed their food too. Good service. Good atmospher. Only complaint really was that the table was a bit small and not much room around us to move. (Party of 4 (2x adults, 2x children). Did not spoil the experience though.

Just enjoyed a wonderful lunch with a group of 10 colleagues. The table was set very nicely before we arrived. Service was impeccable. The food was really tasty and the portions were generous. Everything was quick and we were well looked after, staff were all smiles. We will definitely be returning.

Very delicious!😋😋😋❤ The ambiance is very calming, welcoming and romantic. 🥰🥰🥰 My family from Ecuador and USA and I were visiting Europe, on the day that we visited the "Oak on the Green" restaurant we had finished visiting the Dover castle, it was a very cold day and we drove to the town straight from Dover. No restaurants were opened, and we were very hungry. We arrived to "Oak on the Green" just before they closed, we asked the manager if we could be served. He happily told us welcome! He made sure we got attended and the service was superb! We will forever be grateful for that and we always recomend it to all our friends in USA and Ecuador. Thanks a lot Oak on the Green! :)

Great pub restaurant food beautiful service great love it because its dog friendly great place to go. Even bring treats and water for the dogs.

Very nice pub, spent many nights eating here and food was always superb. Last meal chilli nachos lacked heat (spice) or flavour. On a table for four all eating different meals, we all said food not as good as it used to be. No problems with service, busy and nice place to go.

Had a lovely lunch here Sunday! Well looked after by staff. We had booked and were early but were seated. The food and wine were excellent. Lovely atmosphere which, with the great service, helped us relax and have the best date we've ever had. We had a break after 2 years and we stayed friends but Oak on The Green rekindled our love for each other 🥰

This will become your favourite country pub. It’s hard to decide what element is best, the location on the village green, the incredible staff or the atmosphere but all blend in symbiosis to create one of the best pub experiences you could ask for. Great menu for lunch or dinner, whether it’s a family birthday or meal for two, you’ll want to go back again

Fantastic food, and service. The atmosphere was great. Definitely worth a visit if you want decent food at a decent price. You will not be disappointed. One of the best I have been too.

It's a little out in the weeds but the trip is absolutely worth it. Gorgeous food in a wonderfully quaint setting, I definitely need to find an excuse to come here again.

Excellent food, great staff and great atmosphere,! Took the Mrs here for her birthday. Arrived a bit early so had a drink at the bar whilst waiting for our table to be ready. The blonde lady behind the bar was friendly whilst she served us. We were then seated at our table, where we had: Starter - Whitebait and kabab. Mains - Porterhouse steak and another steak. Both cooked medium rare. Dessert - Sticky toffee pudding. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted wonderful. The steak just melted in our mouths. The young lady with glasses who looked after us was friendly and attentive. All in all, a lovely evening. Highly recommended. PS, we went on a Tuesday evening and it was jam packed, so it's advisable to book in advance.

The staff here are fantastic. We went for a family meal at The Oak on the Green as we often do and unfortunately my mother in law was taken ill during the meal and an ambulance had to be called. The staff were absolutely fantastic and did everything they could to help. They really did go out of their way for us all and we are so grateful for making a difficult situation easier. Thank you!

A friend recommended this pub/restaurant to me a while ago, so I thought I would give it a go. Had a lovely meal and the staff were attentive and friendly. Would recommend, but would suggest booking early as very popular.

Had lunch there in January. We asked for a specific table and got it. Staff were really decent and welcoming, and the ambiance of the pub always makes it a pleasure to visit. Food was excellent and we didnt have to wait too long but long enough to know that it actually had to be cooked. couldnt fault it. Highly recommend

My first visit last night, 29th January, with my family to celebrate my 60th birthday. All 11 of us, 7 adults & 4 kids, had a great time. The service was very good from start to finish with each of the members of staff who served us being welcoming, polite, efficient and helpful. The varied tastes among us meant a wide range of food being ordered and everyone was extremely impressed with not just the quality but also the generous portion sizes all at very reasonable prices. The Oak on the Green is certainly a place I plan to visit again.

Warm welcoming venue, low enchanting lighting with fairy lights and candles. Friendly staff and food is wonderful. We had steaks and they were absolutely on spot 👌 Would definately make return visits.
