Lovely bouncers. My daughter lost her phone, driving licence and cash card at Hidden one night. I came back early on a Friday night and the bouncers couldn't have been more helpful in finding her lost belongings and returning them to her. Thank you 😊

This club does not allow over 21s! Every night is claimed to be a 'student night' to sway people away that do not fit their young image. After one of my party provided a student ID as a mature student (40 years old), another excuse was created to not allow her admittance. I myself am 19 and I was the only one of my party of 5 that they were going to allow in, despite the fact that I am not even a student. They do not check IDs so if you are underage and wanting a night out, this is the gig for you. We travelled down from the Lake District, paid train fares, hotels and taxi fares for a night here. We pre-booked tickets directly from the website and there was no mention of any age limit. Bouncer and lady on the door did their jobs and were lovely. It's a shame management have such ageist policies.

Truly awesome music, I'd not done breaks, or jungle in 16 years & Garage in 20 years. So. It was a massive blast from the past! This is all after being invited in, free entry and free drinks. OMG! I was treated like a king by all the staff, both while they wee working and once they'd finished at the after party upstairs! Such an excellent selection of people! Truly honoured to be in their presence, all so sound! Yep, all still awesome people! Good selection of nights & genres to choose from. Always a good crowd. Although, it's a case of I take 2 random people, add their ages, I'm still older than their combined age! 😂

Went for my birthday / Halloween. Best club in Manchester. Don’t even get me started on the bouncers so lovley and kind made the night 10/10. Great sound system and amazing atmosphere. Will be back

Enjoy the venue a lot, but the speaker system frustrates me. So bass heavy, which of course helps given the genres played, but often leaves a lot to be desired with the mid range of some of the songs.

I attended the Hit & Run 15th Birthday event and had a great experience. The staff were friendly, drinks prices reasonable, the warehouse style venue suits the music style and sound system loud and good quality.

Great club with a very good sound system, probably one of the best in Manchester. Recently turned into more of a techno club which is great. Drinks aren't cheap but not expensive. Unisex toilets with urinals that you can get to by walking past the queue If you like a bit more of an underground clubbing scene this is your place

Oversold event and didn’t let us in, making up a last entry time. Bouncers told us instantly to apply for a refund. Have tried to contact venue but have not heard anything back. Tickets were £20 each. Would not recommend as the venue is out of the way so bit of a nightmare if you’re refused entry.

I’ve been to a few good events here. Cool smoking area, nice place to get fresh air. A few different levels so you can listen to different types of music depending on the night. A bit of a trek to get there but one of my favorite clubs in Manchester.

I think one of the best places you can go in the city to have a fantastic night out. Really, if you're looking for a worn out, decadent, destroyed location to dance 🪩 at the techno bits, this is your place. You won't regret it. Also, the venue is nearby of the city center so no problems if you want to keep the party. Further, the venue has full of toilets, cloak room and smoking 🚭🚭 area. So, all prepared for a perfect night

The worst club I have ever been too. Clearly letting under age women in, even when under pressure from customers, bouncers do not care, management non-existent. I cannot stress enough, DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Absolutely mint club! Sound system was something else.. bouncers were a great laugh but the HEAT was unbearable! extremely and uncomfortably hot. Could really benefit from fans or something i saw A/C but it wasnt enough, whatever systems are in place aren't enough for a fully booked rave. Trying to get some refuge outside as a result was extremely hard due to everyone trying to go outside for air. Other than that.. can't fault my experience

Great venue with 3 small rooms over 3 floors, friendly security and a dirty basement kinda vibe (in a good way). Toilet queue could be better organised, urinals were empty but we had to queue with everyone waiting for cubicals, albeit only 10-15 mins. Outdoor smoking / chill out area is spot on. Good sound system. Probably my favourite Manchester venue for a night of electronic indulgence. Thanks Hidden 🙏👌👏🏻

Reading the comments about the bouncers make me feel angry and upset! No wonder we get a bad reputation! Disgusting to say the least. Anyway, I worked on the doors last night for the reopening and can I just say, what a pleasure it was! The staff and the customers were absolutely amazing! Credit to you all and I'm looking forward to getting to know you all abit better! Thank you for being so welcoming xxx

Loud. Sweaty. Smelly. Smokey. Basically a moist dungeon full of bratz dolls and kevins. Everything you could possibly want from an underground nightclub. Top marks !

Great night, music was excellent. No money spent on the decor, it looks like a 1980s East German nuclear bunker, but its all about the music......

ive been here twice. last time the club got split into 2 and we were allowed to use only one small dancefloor in the basement that felt even smaller because the lights and speakers were pointed only at the middle. please add some speakers and lights to the sides as well.

Great atmosphere for a music event, albeit very rustic given that it is a disused mill. Your shoes will get very dirty and drinks are very expensive. Bar and security staff were all friendly.

Lost my jumper at this venue, I then emailed [email protected] twice. The management haven't had the decency to reply to either email. Poor customer service letting down an otherwise decent venue.

Got physically assaulted outside here on NYE 2 years ago in full view of the bouncers who did absolutely nothing. Had to get a bystander to call the police. Would absolutely not recommend in any way Hidden. Went tonight as the gig venue got changed last minute. Sound is rubbish too.

The bouncers are nice and there’s generally a good atmosphere. There’s enough toilets that there isn’t a massive que. Have to fight your way to the bar but that’s the norm

I was there on December 31st coming I to the new year it was my first time going and I would say its decent reminds me of factory which I really like but overall there was good drink options at £5 which was nice and the music was more beats apposed to actual songs so if your into that music this place is perfect for you

Me and my sister got ticket and we came 20 minutes after close due to flight delay which we told bouncers. Paid 30 pound for a taxi out there and wasn’t left in. They said they would let us in but management would deny us even though people were getting in late paying cash. Came all the way from another country for this and wasn’t let in. Very disappointed won’t be back

Very rude bouncer. Didn’t let me in despite me being in perfectly acceptable condition. The rest of my group plus the other bouncers were confused. He wouldn’t even give a reason or eye contact; just a blatant and rude no. And no refund on a ticket that I had pre booked. Had to book an Uber home after having just gone there. Complete waste of my time and money and in a completely sober state by the time I got home absolute waste of a night. Uber driver was equally confused as to why I was denied entry.

Went for hit & run's 16th birthday. Dirty rave. Nice friendly vibe and a good size crowd not stupidly packed. Lots of space to dance explore and cool off in. A few sofas which i was told were pretty comfy. not that I needed to relax! Security were really friendly and helpful. I'd booked a load of tickets for a stag do and we didnt all turn up at the same time but I told security the situation and they made sure the other guys could get in too. Could do with somewhere to help yourself to water at the bar as queuing for tap water slows things down for everyone. Dancing is thirsty work! Sound in the main room was real nice If your looking for an alternative night out in Manchester then this is the place

Wow what a cool venue, we went for homoelectric and it did not disappoint. Love the abandoned mill vibe to the place and the music sounded amazing in there. Would definitely go to other gigs here. Drinks were well priced too.

Went for wax format trance night. Largely good crowd, decent staff Inc on the doors. Good sound system and lights, cloakroom. Dancing cyber giants were a bonus. Downsides: you can't keep the top to your bottle of water, and toilets are a state. But no more so than most clubs and at least there is enough of them.

Good staff - friendly bar staff, and security were efficient but not overly intrusive. Was extremely busy at points - packed in shoulder to shoulder with very little room to move/dance. Admittedly that was for a very popular act who probably attracted a disproportionate number of the people in attendance that night (the other two rooms were fine). Friendly people and atmosphere. The toilets are pretty poor - no locks on a lot of the doors, which is obviously not good for privacy or safety. Maybe the locks just get broken every time they are repaired, but really I don't think there's any excuse for not having functioning locks... They should either invest in locks that don't break, or just treat it as the necessary expense that it is and put new locks on the doors whenever they get broken. I don't know much about sound systems or acoustics technically, but at least one one of the rooms seemed to have a very distorted sound. It sounded to me like however the walls are constructed creates an overwhelming rattling sound whenever the bass hits - which was so severe it drowned out a lot of the music. I haven't noticed this issue in other venues. I would probably give it 3.5* if Google allowed that. I will definitely attend again (and it hosts a lot of good events) - but it could be better. P.S. I overheard someone being rejected for not having ID, even though all his friends were inside - so make sure you don't forget yours!

Wow, Here for the Thunderdome reunion.Jay Wearden, Jon Da Silva and the other guys rocked the place. Some massive tunes too. Thanks for a great night those of you who made it happen, a brilliant atmosphere and making the decision to go was a no Brainer. Not sure if I'll be able to follow you round from venue to venue like I used to 30 odd years ago but I'll try. SUPERB NIGHT, MUSIC, ATMOSPHERE, STAFF AND THE PEOPLE IN GENERAL. SUPERB A+++

Attended mall grab and aalice event on Saturday 24th July 2021. All electricity at the venue cut out at around 1:30am (no lights, no music - the event could not continue), and everyone was ordered to wait in the smoking area. After a long time waiting, we were all told to go home as the power couldn't be turned back on. We were advised by people working at Hidden that we would receive a full refund for the event. However, we haven't yet received a refund and Hidden have not responded to any communications about this.

  • 2/5 Emily B. 2 years ago on Google
Wow this place is something else...very misleading especiallyby the pictures. The staff were lovely and friendly hence the extra star but none of the toilet doors had any locks on them so I had to hold the door for more than one girl on their own in the toilets. The music event we had planned to go to was not what we expected, half the djs couldn't make the venue and the replacements were not on the same genre of music. We paid for a hotel and paid for tickets to see these artists and we we were let down badly by the stand ins that we left after 3 hours making our trip and expenses pointless.. wouldn't recommend.

  • 5/5 Jamina W. 3 years ago on Google
Always a good vibe. It has a very Berlin grunge rave vibe to it. 3 floors so when their open you have lots of atmosphere and music choices (it’s hard to get bored). Lots of toilets so not too long to wait. And access to the outside area is always swift and it’s a nice sociable space. Sound is always on point. Lots of places to socialise or dance. And in summer they have raves in the outside bit which is nice. Staff are friendly, it’s kept clean, and the bouncers aren’t jerks as long as you bring your ID and you aren’t a jerk either... Makes sure you pick a night where the music is to your taste, every night is different. And if a little grunge / street vibe isn’t for you then maybe stick to Deansgate locks.
