Tourist attraction Park Festival

😠 Definitely the worst BUGA of all time. And the sustainability aspect is absurd when you consider that thousands of liters of groundwater were pumped out for the artificial lake. The allotment gardeners next door are looking down the tubes. People often mention Luisenpark, area, Spinelli, Mannheim,

The Buga offers an immense range of activities, especially for families and children. With countless playgrounds, adventure offerings and workshops, the choice is overwhelming. It's hard to know where to start. One day is hardly enough to explore everything. The offering for families and children is particularly impressive. At the edge of the Spinelli site there are a number of playgrounds tailored to different age groups. There is a playground for the little ones, a huge net playground, lots of small playgrounds and even an area where children can plow the grounds. There is seating and parasols for parents at every playground. There are also drinking water points and toilets nearby in case you forget something. Spinelli is a completely new park area, while Luisenpark has existed for a long time and has been completely renovated in the middle. The beds in Luisenpark were renewed and refreshed. The center of the park is the result of three years of intensive construction work and is very impressive. On Spinelli, a sealed area was completely redesigned and redesigned. It may initially look like wasteland, but it serves important functions such as ventilation of the city of Mannheim and even serves as a habitat for rabbits. If you turn around, you will discover a variety of gardens designed by creative landscape gardeners. There are even pools that can actually be used. A wingert was created, useful plants were planted and a real biotope was created on the edge. The further you delve, the more there is to discover. It's really impressive. There are also two towers that can be climbed to enjoy the view. The larger tower near the halls is particularly recommended, from which you should take a look to the north. There you can see an art installation with a large display showing a man in a suit. This should not be missed. There are a wealth of attractions in the halls. You can marvel at mammoths, explore a mushroom farm, visit the BASF laboratory with experimental stations for children, get information about the projects of the city of Mannheim and the Buga, explore an environmental laboratory, enjoy street food, stroll through a market, visit the SWR studio, watch a play , dine in restaurants and admire the sandstone figures. The sandstone figures are particularly fascinating, as they are actually the original pieces and are up to 200 years old. The beer garden offers fast and efficient service. Within 15 minutes you can order drinks and food for a group of 10 people, which is truly record-breaking. One particular area, the street food area in the flower hall, is particularly recommended.

Actually, this "body of water" should be called Lake Constance, because without water you can see the bottom.... My goodness, what a waste of money. A rusty footbridge that leads from the desert to an artificial pond, which is also leaking and pumps have to be running constantly so that the water level doesn't drop! VERY SUSTAINABLE dear organizers. That's a shot in the foot!!! The costs should be reimbursed from the person responsible for this bottomless pit!!

Long stretches of land completely empty, just senseless walking for kilometers. The first buildings only for food (long waiting with only 1 cashier - looked like a student). Long walks to see simple, unimpressive things, new trees planted on artificial rows and too many ugly projects motivated by "climate ideas". Very expensive parking many kilometers away, at a flat rate of 9.5 Euros even if you just stay an hour! Extreme dependency on shuttles. I give 3 stars because the Luisenpark is reached with the gondola/ticket of BUGA and the Luisenpark is an amazing space all-year round. Forget BUGA, go for the Luisenpark only!!

The idea is quite nice and, by placing it on the edge of the site, it also takes sustainability into account. The lake will remain with us. The idea of creating a rest area and incorporating the footbridge is a well thought out one. Unfortunately, it still seems a little loveless

I didn't actually want to go to Teich, but it's good that she's in Mannheim! The discounted entry price was advertised - because it's only available online and not at the box office at Luisenpark. Fail! And then you walk towards 🚠. There is also a bus or train (each stop €1) rip off! We stood at the gondola for ages. Me and my parents had to drive separately because of all the handcarts. The teahouse was extremely overwhelmed in terms of service. I mean, you prepare for something like that and want to make money, right? It was no different on the Ami grounds. You line up to buy a coupon and then line up again. I just really advise! I was very disappointed with the area itself. I was expecting a flower bed and events It looked like the Allgäu from the meadows 😝😝😝. I am very disappointed. So much money (also for the Mannheim staft) for nothing! Gondelfshrt was nice, that’s about it. To note: I was shocked at the small areas the animals have to live in in the Luisenpark. Absolute torture!

I found the Spinelli site really exciting (and also relaxing), how the old barracks buildings were integrated into the BUGA and how not everything seems so finished and perfect... I really liked the long table with a variety of chairs for all 193 United Nations. The ride on the cable car is wonderful and then you immerse yourself in the shady and always loved Luisenpark, what a beautiful contrast. How you're supposed to do all this with a day ticket is a mystery to me... I'm happy about my season ticket and I'll definitely come back very often 🥰

We first went to the Luisenpark area where it was very beautiful, then took the cable car to the Spinelli area, here it was only partly beautiful, especially in the flower halls. A lot of things didn't seem finished yet. On the subject of gastronomy, a large selection of food and drinks, but a lot of staff with poor or no knowledge of German. Conclusion: There are still some construction sites, but the visit was still worth it. The 5 stars only for the area in Luisenpark.

Ich bin am Luisenpark hinein. Wunderschön wie seit Jahrzehnten. Liebevoll angelegt, einfach schön entspannend. Mit der Seilbahn zum Spinelli. Ich konnte meinen Augen nicht trauen. Karg, lieblos.
