We used the function room "the Cow Shed" for my daughter's wedding function. Although it is quite small it was perfect for an intimate family function. We had full use of the outside space and could decorate the room to suit her rustic theme. The staff were amazing and the bar well stocked. We chose to self cater and they were very accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

If you want to have a good laugh and a joke with your friends and generally have a good time then don’t go to the brown cow ! However if you like a pub we’re your told to keep the noise down when the pub was half empty then this pub is right up your street! We didn’t eat there so I Carn’t comment on the food .

Nice pub, got a good feel to it. Great selection of beers. They have live music on at times.

Nice, old fashioned pub with excellent selection of craft beers and ciders including some fine locally made options. Service is excellent and the staff are really on the ball. It gets very busy but you’ll not be waiting long to get served. Live music most nights but there’s another seating area if you want to chat or the musics not your thing. Could do with a few more chairs so you might need to stand for a bit but otherwise a cracking wee pub.

The range of beers the brown cow has is brilliant. There is something for every pallet. There is also a great range of spirits. A quiet bar, which lends itself to having a good chat with friends and an overall friendly atmosphere. Bar staff and manager are very friendly and helpful and allowed a little sample beer if you are unsure what to have - and if you have the UNTAPPD app, you can see which guest ales they have before going. Definitely recommend this place!

Lovely pub, very good choice of ales and gins. Staff are very helpful and always recommend drinks if you can't decide what to have. We've been in a few times now and we're never disappointed. Will definitely be back soon.

This was the first pub that my fiance and I ever visited together (September 2006), and we finally returned for a second visit last Saturday. Love it and we won't leave it so long for our next visit.

THE BROWN COW HAS COMPLETELY TURNED AROUND under the new management! All the ales are clean, and taste as they should, fabulous selection always on. Best and most consistent in the area. LIVE MUSIC! Always something to look forward to. Well done and thank you

Best pub in Mansfield by miles! Beers are changed regularly, beer garden is spot on and the staff are great. Events are on regularly and the punters are never idiots which is nice. Definitely recommend.

One for the beer fans. Great selection of both beer and cider. Nice atmosphere with quirky decor. Landlord (we think) knows his stuff. If you're in the area call in.

Landlord came over to me and said," as a parent could you stop your kids from pulling flowers out the flower beds, we paid hundreds for them". They pulled one each and got told off immediately and started crying. There was no need for the comment because id already done it. Plus shouted while they were doing it. They are 2 years old twins and sometimes are abit naughty. No need to be a deck.

Nice friendly pub, my wife especially liked all the gins on offer, some made by the pub itself

A proper pub selling proper beer, which is a rarity these days with the ubiquitous presence of souless Wetherspoons with their sticky tables. The Brown Cow has a nice chilled atmosphere inside where you can meet friends for beers and a chat. A good selection of craft beers as well as more main stream lagers. The pub has a nice out door area and inside a good old fashioned lounge and tap room!

Although the Bluemoon was a nice tasting pint however as per picture really short measure, I asked for a top up and this was after!
