A beautifully serene garden and a true reflection of paradise on Earth. Gorgeous architecture and a superb collection of plants. Stay a while and enjoy a drink or meal in the cafe. Take a piece of paradise home with you with the amazing art from the gift shop. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed this garden. It's right in the centre of old Marrakesh and it's a real pass of calm and tranquility. Here you can escape the huddle and bustle of the markets for a bit. We had some mint tea under the veranda and just chilled. The tower tour is worth doing too. I'm a horticulturist. The gardens are a bit immature but the while renovation is incredible. I'll definitely come back over the years as it will be great to see the gardens mature

Le Jardin Secret, nestled in the heart of Marrakesh, is a hidden gem that captivates with its enchanting allure. This secret garden unfolds as a series of meticulously designed spaces, each revealing a unique blend of Islamic and Moorish influences. The symphony of colors from the diverse plant life, coupled with the soothing sound of fountains, creates an oasis of serenity. The restored historical elements add a sense of authenticity, transporting visitors to another era. Le Jardin Secret is not just a garden; it's a sensory journey that offers a peaceful escape from the bustling streets of Marrakesh, making it a must-visit destination for those seeking beauty and tranquility.

This place has become one of my favourite spots in Marrakech. The entrance fee is 80 dirhams, we were there for opening to avoid crowds and enjoy the serenity of the gardens. Recommend you do the same if you wish to get the same experience. It’s a beautiful space, the gardens are magnificent, well kept and manicured. Truly an amazing gem, like many of Marrakech the facade it’s quite simple but the beauty tends to lie on the inside. Divided into two compounds, the colors and choices of vegetation are meticulously planned. There’s a cafe as well where you can enjoy a morning tea and biscuit. I cannot recommend this place enough, I will definitely come back if I visit Marrakech again.

The secret garden consists of two separate gardens, an exotic garden and an Islamic garden. There are beautiful fountains, waterways, a gazebo, a cafe, and plenty of soft benches to take a short nap. There are a lot of signs explaining the history and plants all around. It's a surprisingly large garden, and I would recommend the tower tour. The views are good, but what made it even more impressive was the tour guide who provides lots of history.

An oasis of tranquility amidst the madness of the streets of Marrakech. Payment on entry with additional money for a guided tour of the tower. Best to visit off peak times as this place can get very busy. There are other nicer gardens in marrakech and other examples of mosaics, carvings, ceiling art etc but this place is still just about worth the entrance fee.

This is one of the most peaceful experiences in Marrakech. The gardens are well maintained and beautifully designed. There are many areas to sit and relax, many of which are private. The views from the tower are great but won't be great if you're shorter as the walls are high.

Beautiful renovated gardens set in a riad tucked away in the Medina. Apart from the incredible collection of plants, you can also enjoy the café, art exhibition and fascinating video telling the story of the gardens history. A relaxing place to visit that is good for the soul.

A very refreshing oasis of greenery and stunning beauty. Outstandingly stunning secret guarded in the heart of historic part of Marrakesh. Gardens filled with peace, beauty and calming atmosphere. Very nice cafe where you can have a very tasty meal. Definitely worth visiting this place.

Le Jardin Secret is just about the perfect way to start a holiday in Marrakech, we'd arrived very late the night before so wanted something undemanding but beautiful and this really fitted the bill. We were staying in a riad just off the Jemaa Al Fna and so this was really only a short walk to get there, courtesy of Google Maps which we found invaluable for negotiating the narrow and crowded streets of the Medina. You can just buy tickets for the garden or a ticket for the garden and the tower inside the garden, which is what I bought. The gardens are a delight. We had seen them in the BBC television series "Monty Don's Paradise Gardens" a few years ago and thought how attractive it looked in its classic Islamic garden layout; at the time the series was made the garden had been freshly renovated but now it has matured into a beautiful and relaxing place with lots of shaded areas and plenty of benches where you may sit to drink it all in. After a wander round enjoying the garden we went up onto an elevated terrace where they have a café for a drink and the opportunity to see the garden from a different perspective. While my wife lingered over her refreshments I joined the tower tour with a charming young guide who took our group up the steps in the tower and explained its history and the significance its decorations. From the top the views were wonderful and we could see the snow covered Atlas mountains through the mist. Then, suddenly, we heard the call to prayer started from one of the mosques; then the next one took it up, then the next and so on in order from West to East across the city and it was beautiful and I counted over twenty minarets in view from our vantage point. If you go there this was during the 12h00 tour. Back down in the garden I found my wife and took some photos and then, on the way out, we discovered another café where we decided might be a good place to have lunch and this proved an excellent choice as the food was delicious.

By far our favourite place we visited in Marrakech. An oasis of calm and beautifully restored. The video onsite was great to explain how they built and designed the garden. The cafe was very reasonably priced and was a lovely place for a mint tea on the terrace. If you love gardens/plants, you'll appreciate it even more!

OMG, so beautiful 😍 paid extra for the tower view, which me and my wife were the only ones, so we was attentively looked after by our guide who educated us about the tower and the gardens, and even his life and our lives! Was quite the tour! Little cafe at the end near the tower overlooking the gorgeous garden.

Such a beautiful and relaxing place, it makes you almost forget that it’s surrounded by the souks. Absolutely nice to sit and relax for a moment. You have to pay a fee to get inside. You can also go to the tower, but that will also cost you an extra fee. I did not do this and just went to the terrace for a beautiful overview.

Beauty and peaceful garden. Located in the middle of the Medina, it is a lovely example of a Moor garden. The main fountain is built under a lovely gazebo and it's so relaxing to sit and relax listening to the water and the birds. The view from the cafe is breathtaking. A must!

Really nice garden. The price has been updated to 80 dirham as of Oct 16, 2021. Decent size garden to walk around a little bit. It can be seen in 10 minutes if you walk fast but it's nice to stay for some time in the multiple benches that it has. We didn't go to the tower but there is a terrace where you can see the garden and have a drink

A beautiful garden and a an oasis of calm in the city, with amazing views from the tower and whilst in the garden. Stunning architecture, a diverse collection of plants and a little history lesson whilst perusing. There is a cafe, enabling views over the garden whilst you enjoy a reasonably priced drink or nibble. Highly recommended!

Really a precious place within Marrakech with a marvelous plants - but the entrance fee is definitely too high. Even if you seek a calm and relaxing place, I would not say that is a fair deal. Keep that in mind when considering a visit.

If you haven’t seen gardens in your life before, you may find this really unique. It’s not bad but it’s more like a 10-minute walk if walk slow. Too Small. And the entrance fee of €8 for tourists is ridiculous! It’s not the Louvre! Totally overpriced. This really should be free! This type of “gardens” are free in so many countries. They make money from the coffee shop (which they also have). The ambience is nice. I recommend you to bring a book with you and sit there and read it. There isn’t anything else to do!

Beautiful gardens right in the heart of the medina. Loved our time here. It has so many medicinal herbs and fruit trees. Plenty of spots to sit in the shade of the beautiful trees. Didn’t take the tower tickets. So not sure what’s up there. Feel free to take a look at my videos to get a better idea of these gardens.

Amazingly relaxing and peaceful place hidden in the chaos of the medina souks. Amazing aromas of citrus, lavender and rosemary. Interesting and informative exhibits on the restoration of the gardens from dilapidated accommodation to palatial gardens. Great cafes, fantastic food and fast wi-fi for planning your next move. One of the highlights of my most recent trip to Marrakech, highly recommended.

Really nice gardens. We were there on a rainy day, I think it gives it a different charm to the gardens compared to a sunny day. You can also appreciate a little museum and some traditional constructions and buildings.

Beautiful garden to walk around in and take loads of photos. We paid 300 dirham for 4 people (I think it was less for me as I was 24 yrs old and its less for 24 and under). Apart from that, there is also a cafe where we had some drinks (iced coffee, two beers and a mint iced tea) which was very affordable as well.

A beautiful garden, which is unfortunately not as secret as the name might suggest, but is still absolutely worth a visit. The garden is divided into two areas, one with typical Moroccan and North African plants and a second part with plants from other parts of the world with similar climates. One can admire both Moroccan architecture and Arabian water engineering. Shady spots and small coffees invite you to linger.

The hidden garden, only recently created less than 10 years ago, this garden is an oasis in the city. It's about 70 Dihram to enter plus a other 40 to walk up the tower. It's beautiful to wander around. Highly recommend. Views from tower OK. Can see the Atlas mountains.

Way overpriced and not worth the price. Should be about half the price or by less. Very small. Lame exhibits trying to make it worth the money but they failed. Also must pay extra for some tower which like why? Excuse me? Ripoff for the price but nice nonetheless if you are not unhappy for the price.

A nice oasis to escape the busy streets of the mouassine district. The on-site documentary video is really worth watching to truly appreciate the hardwork that went into restoring these grounds. There are two distinct gardens each with their own ambiant vibe and the view from the terrace cafe overlooking the larger garden is very nice and serene.

We went there for lunch. The decor, music and atmosphere was great. We were seated on a sort of corridor at the first floor which didn’t have much of a view and the tables were uncomfortable for the legs. We had Hummus from chickpeas, the grill plate and avocado juice and they were average. Food is definitely overpriced, but I guess you pay for the beautiful setting and atmosphere. Music was amazing. We had a reservation so there was no waiting time.

A small lovely garden in the middle of the center of the souks. Even with all the madness from outside it is a nice calm place where you can escape all the chaos. In one room you find photos and info about how they reconstructed the whole garden in 2006 after it was desolated and decayed.

Entrance was 80 dirhams for foreigners or 40 dirhams for local Moroccan. The garden provide a peaceful space in the middle of hectic Medina. Dessert plants from olive trees, lavenders and citrus keep everyone in the garden happy, Including the birds. Great place if you like to read a book or enjoy some quiet afternoon. There’s a coffee shop upstairs as well.

The origins of the complex date back to the Saadian Dynasty, more than four hundred years ago. Rebuilt in the mid-Nineteenth century at the behest of an influential kaid of the Atlas Mountains. Le Jardin Secret is part of the great tradition of stately Arab-Andalusian and Moroccan palaces. As a result visitors can discover its gardens and buildings, which are outstanding examples of Islamic art and architecture.

Like a little oasis in the middle of the city. We escaped the hectic city vibes for a while and loved it here! Beautifully maintained. You can eat dates from a dates palm tree, that was nice! From the tower you can see the city, which was cool! 100% recommendation.

Fantastic experience. But at the rooftop cafe the gentleman serving was not so kind - made me a bit upset. So I just sat at the downstairs cafe for cake and coffee instead - which were both so so tasty. Very relaxing space and worth the visit. Incredible design and the different spaces were super informative. At the gift shop, I got to see the artist who creates some of the designs to be sold - very cool! And overall they support local artists and a women’s cooperative - the shop staff were so kind and assistive 🙏🏼❣️ 10/10 would recommend for the overall experience. I really like how proud Moroccans are of their heritage and I enjoy hearing about all the details. Keep up the great work and many many more will visit to retell the stories of how amazing Morocco is

I had this place on my "to do" list for later but got in way earlier by accident just cos we passed by. Don't regret it for a second as both parts of the garden (Tropical and Islamic/Arabic) are genuinely a paradise on earth compared to the rushed streets on the other side of the walls. You hear no noise or traffic, only leaves of exotic plants in wind, singing birds and smell the blossoms of the flowers around...

Nice place, every one will tell you to visit it. I think I don't need to write a Long story about what you can find inside and that it is a sanctuary inside the Medina. It is definetly worth the visit. Aproximate length of the visit is somewhere between 1h-2h it is good to go there on your way to the main square. As every internet guide regarding the Marrakech: Recomended *you can visit photogallery about the reconstruction of the place and how is the water get to the plants(interesting for engineering nerds - I enjoyed it!)

  • 3/5 Htoo M. 10 months ago on Google
"Meh" is my official rating. The place is beautiful, the story of restoration was inspirational. Really appreciated the piping system. But there are lots of free gardens around the city and I don't believe it's worth it. If you're a tourist with extra cash lying around, it'd probably be a nice little experience to check this place out. The place isn't bad, it's just an ok deal when you calculate the value with "{(Beauty of this garden x size) - (other beautiful gardens around the city x total size)} - Entry Price = Value" then the value is pretty low in my opinion.

  • 5/5 H T. 7 months ago on Google
One of the nicer places in the medina to escape the chaos of the everyday hustle-and-bustle. There's an entry fee, but it's well worth it. You can't even hear the noise of the market and motorbikes while here.

If you have been walking all day in the busy, noisy souks and want a few minutes of peace, then this is the place to go. It opens at 9.30am. And once in, it's very peaceful here. You can spend 30 minutes up to a couple of hours if you stay for food at the restaurant and do the tower tour. The tower tour is extra and must be booked when getting the tickets, but well worth it for the views, takes about 20 minutes as the tour guide will lead you up and gives a brief history of the place. I went at 9.30 am, and it wasn't very busy, but as the time went on, it did get busier.
