It's not just about the Kennedy memorial. The whole area is breath taking. Beside it there is the Piano Lookout ( mitspeh hapsanter) and Churbat Tseadim). The only problem is that Yad Kennedy closes down at 4pm and it is best to visit the Mitspeh at sun set...

John F. Kennedy (the 35th President of the United States) memorial is located near Jerusalem, Israel. The 60-foot high (18 m) memorial is shaped like the stump of a felled tree, symbolizing a life cut short.

My all time favorite place to bike ride to in the whole world! The memorial is set on top of a mountain on the outskirts of Jerusalem on a forest hilltop. Very meaningful as a symbol of peace between Israel and the Middle East. I highly recommend visiting whether you walk, bike, hike or drive. All 50 states represented. Architecture of the monument is astounding and creative. No food or snacks are available at the site so bring your own and picnic with friends and family or even by yourself. Peaceful, meditative and incredible views. Gate closes at 16:00 so be careful not to get locked inside the area with your car. You can still access by foot or bike after gate is shut on main road.

Great viewpoint to see the cities and mountains around Jerusalem. There is an information center that is sometimes open, and restrooms that where even open on Saturday morning

One of the places to come if you want to enjoy the looks over the hills of the Jerusalem Forest. Also, best place for star gazing and meteor shower watching. The memorial itself - dedicated to John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States, who was assassinated in 1963 - is distinctive and interesting, it is shaped like the stump of a felled tree, symbolizing a life cut short. A few hiking trails start from this place, a parking lot (rather small one) is available.

Well situated but not taken care of for some time. The views are beautiful and the place is tranquil. The architecture is tipcal for the time it was build. It gives you a nice perspective on the development of the relationship between America and Israel.

The place is not being kept up and the office AND bathrooms were locked. Not nice - it's a memorial and should be better kept up.

This place is exceptional, it is very romantic and highly recommended to have the sunset in their. This place also contains many locations to have camp, daylight and night activities with friends and families. I can mention about some animals in their, you can have your fire and I think you will be safe. Enjoy and have a great trip!

The place at the top of the mountain. A very unique and impressive memorial. Around the view is spectacular and you can sit and enjoy the pleasant air of the Jerusalem Mountains.

Beautiful area. We found a picnic bench on the side of a mountain away from the crowds, really stunning
