The food was great, fresh, well made and truly delicious. The service was top notch too. It’s quite hard to argue against it’s 4+ rating on google.

Pork Hock, soft shell crab pancakes, and kingfish sashimi are my 3 top pics. This is an incredible Asian fusion that is just around the corner from chin chin without the wait. Highly recommend.

We love our food. It was not authentic Asian but the fusion actually worked really well. We'll come back for sure

I visited Lucy Lui at the weekend and for a Saturday lunch time it had a great atmosphere, not too busy but certainly not quiet. The staff were super friendly and helped us with the menu. The food was colourful and fresh and the portions are generous - great for sharing. I would definitely recommend the ham hock out of the large dishes! I believe the food here is much better value for money than some of the other restaurants nearby. I would love to visit again.

(Translated by Google) The flavor of the combination of things is quite unique and delicious Shaved buns, lamb shoulders, and an eggplant wrapped in tempura are all popular. Fried chicken is a bit expensive, so don't order it. The atmosphere in the store is also quite good, the price is slightly higher, but it is still worth a try, it is strongly recommended to make an appointment online.

Put our names down for a table on a busy Saturday night and was well worth the wait. Incredible food, great atmosphere and really friendly and helpful service from our waiter. For the quality of what we had food wise the bill was very reasonable.

A great recommendation by a family friend. We were delighted by a well presented meal. It was a rather busy Wednesday night but we were kindly seated for one and a half hours. Service was quick and efficient. Flavours and textures were unbelievable. I would recommend to anyone.

This is my second visit to LL and I’m still blown away by the food, the service and the atmosphere of this place. We were seated by the bar and the chef and cooks were friendly enough to chat and explain/recommend a few things which was great. The cocktails and drink selection was also good, albeit on the pricey side. We loved the Korean wrap and beef rendang. Already planning on coming back to try other dishes on the menu. We didn’t have to book for 2 however I would highly recommend one if you’re going to be with a group as it can be very busy.

(Translated by Google) Another place that in various sources claims to be the top 10 in Melbourne among restaurants. Lucy Liu Restaurant: I think she deserves restaurants in her honor. A very trendy place, no reservation in the evening. A lot of people, quite crowded and noisy, but this is the thrill. Asian menu: China and Asian seafood variations. The service is fast and attentive. Facility website: By the end of the meal: Oysters (tried in two different sauces) 100 points. Beer: kung fu lager - ok, but not great Yellow Tuna - either I ate something wrong, or just euphoria from the city: tuna meat is so tender that it just melts in my mouth ... I don’t remember where such fish meat is ... And we still enjoy yume .. ...

Small but good sake selection. I did the 5 course chefs pick meal and everything was great. Music and ambiance is also good.

I had heard so much about Lucy Liu that my brother and I decided to try it. The ambience of the place is fantastic and very hip. But I'm not one for the mood of places it's all in the food. From the time we were served our first dish which was the Siu Mai, everything we sampled kept getting better and was a taste explosion. We sampled most of the things on the menu and we were left stunned by the flavours. You know food is good that even when you are getting full you enjoy every single bite and experience. This has to be one of the best eating experiences of my life.

The place itself is beautiful, and it’s location makes it even more intriguing! Customer service was exceptional, we were being attended to on a very regular basis despite the fact that the restaurant was actually full. The food was super delicious. I would 100% come back to eat there! Lastly the waitress Betty, was a pleasure to be attended by. She really ensured we were getting the best food, her recommendations were perfect and she had a fun, friendly but still professional attitude. She is an asset to your team!

Busy Busy, great atmosphere, good modern Asian food, but at a price. Would go again if someone else was paying

Fabulously attentive staff in a very busy bar

  • 4Tim C. 1 year ago
The good: the food is interesting and varied. Food came quickly. The ok: service was middling. Hard to get attention. Prices were quite high for what the dishes were. The bad: nothing. Hence 4 stars! I would come back. Definitely come in a group to try more stuff

Lucy Liu, Kitchen & bar is a super cool and trendy place with Asian influence food with great wine list. Sticky pork amazing and the natural oysters with dipping sauces just wow! The food come out in a good pace to our drinking and Good service....

Friendly staff, great dumplings and bao and the crispy pork pancakes was great too

  • 4Sonika C. 1 year ago
Good authentic Asian flavors and a good fusion and mix of flavors. A lot of food that I couldn’t finish the last few dishes (went for a 5 course taster). The service was good but also felt quite rushed and stressful (especially being sat on a stool right next to where the food was coming from...I felt like part of kitchen!)

A really cool hidden gem in Melbourne... loved the food and the vibe!! The staff is super cool, helpful and fun ... and that is a plus !

The tropical thunder cocktail is a must, of you get the set menu be prepared for a feast, overall was a great experience lots of flavours and very good portions, forgot to take a picture of the last two plates, which were the main ones but everything was aweosme, if you dont like chilli, lemon ans coriander this is not the right place for you

68pp 7 plates menu - I would mayyybe return but would probably pick my own dishes rather than going with the feed me option. Dishes included in the course in the order of preference were: Tempura prawn and eggplant - very yum and sweet garlic oyster sauce goes well with it. Phat kaphrao Kai - was good might be slightly spicy for some people. Salt and pepper chicken ribs - yum! Green apple coleslaw - meant to be a side dish but was refreshing and believe it or not I enjoyed this more than the pork Dumplings - were good but I didn’t like the mayo drizzled all over it on top of chilli oil. Would’ve been so much better with just the chilli oil on its own. Fish was good / ok Beef tartare - ok, wasn’t a big fan of the flavour not sure if it’s the seasoning or the freshness of the beef. Pork - there was no flavour so the pork tasted too fatty thought that’s how it’s meant to be.

We did a tasting menu- 5 course meal (prawn crackers with beef larb, som tom salad, dumplings, barramundi & steamed pork) and to our surprise the portions were rather disappointing to start with but we were quite filling at the end with a bit of pork and barramundi served with steamed rice. The tables were put too close and there was not enough space for waiters/waitresses to move around with their plates. I think the rating is a bit exaggerated than it should be. I would go there with friends or colleagues for a drink or two but not for a date or an occassion.

Visited for lunch last weekend. Overall the food was quite good, the one acceptation were the dumplings, terrible. Over processed protein fillings were hard and dry and the cases were heavy and gluey, sauce was minimal. A shame as it really is the heart of the menu. New Shanghai in Chadstone do incredible prawn dumplings in chilli oil and peanut sesame, Lucy Liu's just don't stack up against them. Cocktails were great.

Not worth the visit. Tried this palce a few years ago and it was great, but recently was not at all impressed with the food, especislly at the price paid. try somewhere else. The upside is that the venue has a good feel to it

Made a booking and cancelled it on the morning of the evening meal. Was told I would be charged $10 a head cancellation fee. Zoe said this would come out automatically when the booking was cancelled. I had not been warned of this. She disputed this and said “why do you think we took your credit card details “. The manager of bookings, Zoe, was very rude and the whole booking experience was very stressful.
