OK JAPANESE NOODLE SHOP IN BASEMENT OF EMPORIUM This is one of several small eateries on the lower floor at Emporium. The advantage of these is that they are less busy than the outlets in the main food court on level 3. The disadvantage are that they are slightly lower quality. This one is quite OK but my favourite on this level is the Vietnamese noodle shop (Pho Nom).

To answer Ramen Ya, First we were served with Veg pad thai when we ordered chicken. Then upon informing they changed the dish. The chicken was stale and old and hard. The taste was not sour, not sweet, not saucy, the noodles was a bit overcooked. It was kind of vague and not tasty at all. And 12 AUD for this dish??? It is a joke.

I'm not a ramen expert but I know what I like. People are very passionate about their noods. I ordered the chashu ramen noodles with kim chi. I could have done without the kim chi only because the ramen was already flavourful. I just ate the kim chi on it's own as fermented food is good for the gut. You're paying emporium prices for ramen here but the premises are clean and output is consistent. The premises aren't cramped like other ramen places so there's increased comfort too.

Ramen menu quite short with only six options Charshu, Gyoza, Kimchi, Curry, Karage and Tofu. Lacks serious authentic options like Tonkotsu, shoyu, Miso and no seafood ramen at all. Tried the Charshu Ramen ($13.90). Solid soup, ok noodles, charshu was cold to the bite (straight out of the fridge?) and bamboo shoots had a canned metallic taste. Curiously shares seating and kitchen space with adjacent Thai restaurant.

Great spot for tasty ramen for lunch or a quickish snack. Noodles are nicely cooked and the chicken crisp and not too oily. Is in the basement street stall area rather than the main food hall area upstairs. Use the electronic guide board if you get last.

It was good. They made food, which didn't give me the squirts (so far) and the char pork ramen bowl was decent. Go prior to lunchtime, around 11am or so, and have the place to yourself.

Best bento box in town!! Fresh meats/fish, rice, two gyozas, tasty salad and a little well of soy sauce. Absolutely delicious. I also recommend the house made peach iced tea, beautiful!!

Pretty bad teriyaki chicken. It feels like the chicken was microwaved? I can only speculate. Waiting 20 mins had me thinking the food must be good. Chicken is average as mentioned, rice is dry and not hot, gyoza is over cooked, salad is ok. If you just name it Asian chicken, then it’s fine. It tastes (very) salty and sweet.

It's on the base level of Emporium and was relatively easy to find here a free place in lunchtime. You have to pay before consuming at order and you will be quick served at table. I like the ramen spicy but here you have no choice to choose spiciness but found some chilli oil on desk. The dish was extremely rich in bamboo slices (menma), seasoned boiled egg, sliced marinated pork but the soup flavour is a little bit too light. The price is only $12.5 and you can add for an extra $3 gyoza and tea bag green tea or iced tea. The gyoza was not too crunchy as I love it. I recommend this place for ramen lovers.

Waited for almost 40 minutes for this when there were not many people sitting in. When I grabbed my table number to ask for a refund the girl disappeared immediately and reappeared shortly with my ramen and told me the machine is broken. And then she dropped the plate at a nearby table. I had to bring it back to my table. I think that if it's really the machine problem they should at least let me know by the time I was ordering rather than kept me waiting while I was super starving.

Fantastic service and deceivingly good food for what is essentially foodcourt food.

Tasty ramen and reasonable price. The Kambucha drink was off the mark.
