No bookings for parties less than 8. They require everyone to be present before they will seat you - this is notwithstanding that the one person of our group was walking around the corner and we wanted to start ordering to speed things up. Manager at the front will yell out group numbers through the megaphone so don’t wait by the door or be seated near the door - they should invest into a better ticketing system. Want us to pay the bill before we even finish. Only thing good is that the food is of quite a good quality. Also comes with a price tag - our bill was expensive for nothing fancy. They will charge per head for dipping sauces too - didn’t see any signage or anything, so only realized it when the bill came.

It’s common courtesy to be honest and respectful to your guests, how could you think of scamming them when their bill is already over $100?! Absolutely horrifying to think how many other guests they’ve scammed. We did not order any beverages yet they dared charge us a beverage fee. Greedy, dishonest and appalling. Shame on you JIA.

I wanted to try hotpot for the first time so we came here. It’s a massive place with very efficient and quick service and the menu was one that you write your choices on and they will come and collect it. We ordered a mixture of meats and vegetables and opted for the non spicy base. Was really yummy and I liked the options on the dipping station for all kinds of dips to use.

A good place for single hotpot. The side dishes are really delicious and I chose the chicken soup base. They also have so many options for spicy soup base, while I like the spicy chicken the most.

Classic Hot Pot Venue for Big Groups. Been here a range of times over the last 8yrs- they have spicy and non-spicy. Large space to accommodate larger groups with individual hot pots. We were greeted at the door and served promptly. All individual dishes were fresh.

Great spot for hotpot! Everyone has their own stove to cook their own. Order what you like from a list and help yourself to a large selection of sauces and condiments. Then watch your pot bubble away and enjoy the flavours. Seafood combination was great and we were eating for a long time! Spacious surroundings and attentive staff.

High quality soup and ingredients (fried tofu was a bit too chewy instead of crispy, but everything else was lovely). The place is a tad expensive though (~$110 for two). Each diner gets their own pot of soup, so you lose on the communal sharing experience. I'd come back in small parties, but with groups larger than four I'd go elsewhere for my hot pot.

Food is great. But the manager’s service is not good. He gave me a ripped cash for my change. I asked him to change it to another one, but he said “ it’s the same, it’s also from customer”. And he didn’t say thank you when I paid. It might seem small, but this ruined my dining experience. Hopefully, he can improve his attitude.

Lovely decor and would be good for a special occasion. Staff were a bit hands off, only interacted to collect order sheet and deliver food. Overall I did not find it much different to other hotpot chains, however more expensive than competitors. Beware of hidden charges and there was an advertised 10% Sunday surcharge. Soups range from $15-20 each then there is an additional $4 for sauce not advertised. We ordered soft drinks without being shown a drinks menu and ended up paying $7.50 for Coca cola.

No bad when compared with other rice noodles restaurant in Melbourne. But the best i had that was in Brisbane sunnybank. I have added two toppings and extra rice noodles for the pot, which is big enough for 2 people to share.

I would like to give 3.5 stars, the place is nice. Food quality is average compared to other Hotpot places. One of the staff was very helpful and some were very junior.

A hot pot must try, Dainty Sichuan is top of my list when it comes to a hot pot experience. I loved having my own hot pot and being able to choose the broth I wanted for myself. The menu here is really good, offering many variety of good quality ingredients. The sauce and condiments bar had a good and large range of toppings. My friends and I ordered different meats, seafood, noodles and veggies and everything was really tasty and fresh. Thanks for the invite, I will be sure to recommend as this was a really great restaurant to visit.

I was so surprised that this hot pot restaurant is really one of the most authentic Sichuan hot pots in Melbourne! As a Sichuanese, I can confidently say that the hot pot restaurant has a great taste, reliable quality of dishes and a great selection. The environment is great, clean and hygienic. And the waiters have a great attitude, it's really a full experience.

Rude obnoxious waitress shouted at me for looking at their fish tank while I'm waiting to pick up a food order from them

The food is alright, but they charged me $8 for beverages when I did not order any. Absolutely unbelievable. I recommend going to Panda hot pot instead, lower prices there and better food too.

Fun hot pot place, expensive, you get your own pot. Good with a group of people. Plenty of sauces in the middle aisle.

A great dine-in place. Rich experienced when having hotspot during the occasion. Food was yummy, especially the base of soups—a variety of selections to choose from. Quite a good place for a group of people to have meals here, tastes like yummy 😋

We been there so many times but this time will be the last. We came in, ordered the foods and the lady that server our table forgot to bring out 1 of the vegetables. She said “ok” and left until we all finished then she brought out the dish. We said “ sorry, no one is eating anymore, she came back and take it and shook her head”. Like how is this even nice? We reminded her as soon as we know it missing but she only came back with it more than 30mins later? And give us attitude? Our soup not even fill up and mine is gone dry at the end of my meal. We came in 7 adults and 4 kids so there is definitely no reason for her to forgot us. None of us has the soup fill up, 1 of us even had half pot of the soup, we told her and she never fill it. Not stop there, they still charge us for the dish that we didn’t get to eat and what is ridiculous is it’s not even our fault. After all of it, my husband didn’t know and tip them $20. We always tip them but not for that kind of service. Never eat there again.

The prices are too high, and the quality of the dishes is very average, especially the set meals. There is very little meat inside, and it is filled with inexpensive side ingredients. The taste is very ordinary. I will never patronize this place again. Street food stalls in China make better-tasting food than this restaurant.
