Tried this place for lunch today. It was ok. Nothing good, nothing bad. Portions are good for the place .. it’s good to share.

We went here NYE. Tough night to review a place as we could see they had staff who most prob just got called in for the night and half the city restaurants was closed, so they were under pressure. So, all I’ll say is that they did their best under the circumstances. We got fed and we left happy.

Great little restaurant in Flinders Lane serving authentic Thai. We ordered a myriad of dishes and the star of the night was the crispy chicken with chilli jam. Albeit it is not as crispy as we imagined, it is still a delight to eat. The pork belly is pretty good too. Food - 8 Service - 6 Vibe - 7 Price - $$

Such a disappointing experience. Both the dishes I initially ordered were apparently sold out, despite the restaurant being empty.. The beef Massaman curry didn’t have any potatoes in it (despite the menu stating it does) and was too watery. The pork belly salad contained a random soft shell crab (despite saying their soft shell crab salad was sold out).. Customer service was quite average. Much better Thai restaurants out there!

Fast service, delicious food, great menu. This place has so many tempting options on the menu, all with pictures and details. The signature dish with the purple noodles is as tasty as it is pretty. The purple butterfly pea and Pandan drink is nice but feels a bit industrial. Chicken wings are sour and delicious. We will be definitely coming back!

Pretty good Thai restaurant. We ordered a boat noodle soup with medium spice and mince chicken with fried egg on rice. The noodle was pretty hot even though it was medium level of spiciness so if you are not into spicy foods, medium will probably be super spicy for you. The mince chicken rice was also quite spicy. Overall they were pretty good.

Valentine’s dinner sorted! Our dinner booking was cancelled due to lockdown but luckily Jing Jai Thai came to the rescue 😘. Saw a Facebook post in the morning and ordered for dinner delivery. The purple noodles were something unique and quite enjoyable. It was tasty with the grilled chicken and tamarind sauce. The Tom yum was really good, beef massamun was ok - we’d prefer it sweeter and thicker. The dessert was lovely - especially the rice balls in sweet coconut milk! Delivery was timely - around 6ish, just in time for dinner. Will love to try the other dishes in future. Happy Valentine! #lazyawesomedad

Delicious food. Definitely recommend the pineapple fried rice! We had to wait 20 minutes to be seated even though we had a booking. The food took a very long time to come as well.

One of the best Thai restaurants in Melbourne you’ll find. Homey feels to their foods. They have a good range of street foods offering in their menu. I’ve dined here many times and today I ordered their signature bowl noodle soup, grilled pork with sticky rice and a bowl of tofu seaweed soup. The only 4 stars rating is only for the bowl noodle soup which would normally taste great today somehow it was very salty to my liking. Otherwise, staff are friendly as always.

Quality Thai food, with the right amount of spice! Bonus: VEGETARIAN Friendly! Jing Jai Thai on Flinders Lane is a very cosy spot that serves authentic Thai dishes at a very reasonable price. You can definitely adjust to your spice level, but the higher you go the more it's going to hurt. 4/5 overall experience because the quantity of protein / meat provided per dish is pretty minimal (I could count the pieces of pork on one hand) and the selection of beverages is limited to beers and soft drinks. Overall, each dish was prepared very well and came at a timely pace. Customer service was really good, our serving staff was friendly and made sure to repeat the order back. Best dish to try: The crispy chicken wings! $8 for 4 wings and the seasoning is PERFECT. Would come back again with a big group!

Average quality Thai food. The menu looks great in terms of variety and the description sounds mouth-watering. However, actual delivery is disappointing. I ordered softshell crab apple salad and fish with tamarind sauce. The salad was too salty and the portion was small for the price. The fish dish was of decent size but it was too sweet. There could be less use of seasoning (salt, sugar, etc.) Last but not least, the Thai milk tea was also a miss which tasted like sugar water with some milk.

I really like the fried rice. The only downside is that their portion size is less, they should increase it to match the price of the food.

Had a very bad experience with the food quality….. right in the middle of the city and you don’t get proper Thai food you were craving. Ordered so pad Thai and there was no peanuts andsesame seeds..when asked about the same…the Waiter tells you it’s out of stock…. Coconut rice was too cold and sweet… I am not coming back…..not the authentic Thai food

Dined on a Saturday night. We ordered the meat platter with some curry and some beers and it went down nicely. Would love to come back and try their noodles and other dishes

I’ve been to this restaurant many times and even though the service has never been impressive (unfriendly staff, wrong order and wrong change given), I never complained. However, my last experience here was unacceptable. The portion of the food was ridiculously small for the price. This always happens at this restaurant but this dish is the last straw. Here are some photos of Pad Gaprow I ordered. Can’t believe this is $19. There are barely any squids and it was too oily and watery as well. It’s not that I expected it to turn out like the picture on the menu but this is terrible. I’ve talked with my friends and found that I’m not the only one experiencing unfriendly staff and small portion of food here. Please, look into this and take some action.
