Probably the worst banh mi in Melbourne. Served in a hot dog bun? No crunch, chunky fillings, and wildly soggy. The sog factor was just too much for me, I couldn't eat it. Any Vietnam familia's baker would be better than this. Light years away from Nhu Lan. Please try harder if you want to take our money.

Food was… edible, somewhat; ordered for takeaway pork & crackling bahn mi which had no crackling/crispy bits at all and overall pretty tasteless, and lemongrass chilli chicken rice dish which was not spicy at all though the lemongrass flavour was quite strong. On the sides were crispy chicken ribs that looked (and tasted) like leftovers, beef rice paper rolls that fell apart, and sweet potato fries that had way too many burnt pieces.

Usually when I get the rice bowl it is really good and flavourful, however today when ordered, I was given poor customer service by a young woman who had attitude and couldn’t bother to grab a lid for me, instead pointing at it for me to grab over the counter. I also found upon eating it a black hair in the rice as well as the rice being undercooked and crunchy. Seriosuly dissapointing as I often enjoyed this as a lunch meal.

I ordered takeaway at 7:30pm before their closing time, and waited for 45mins and my order was canceled at 8:30pm without any notice. Of course no phone call answer, no updates. Do not order your food here. There are tons of good Vietnamese on Sydney road. Reply to owner: If you are really sorry and have time to reply on this review, you could've reached out to us first when you canceled our order in the middle of night or answered the phone.

If I could give this place a 0 I would. I ordered food here, and they gave me burnt chicken. My meal was uneatable, I ordered the bbq chicken noodle salad. The noodles they gave me were pho noodles not the normal noodles every other rolld uses for noodle salads. My meal was absolutely disgusting and I am very disappointed as I tried contacting the store, during store hours and called 6 times but no one answered. Highly don't recommend wasting your money here. Food and service is horrid. If you have an issue with this store, don't even bother contacting them, I emailed the email they provided me. However, still no reply or acknowledgment. scam

The standards at this Roll'd are indefensible. Produce looked old and sad, kitchen was filthy and only one staff member was there hold the kitchen fort on a busy Saturday afternoon. You just had to look away and hope for the best but what came next was worst than expected. Firstly, pho tasted overly sweet without any broth depth, no herbs and very few tofu. But the worst crime was undercooked pink chicken in a rice dish that carelessly came with an avalanche of rice and a few shreds of lettuce. Fortunately, we got a refund for the chicken but still feeling disturbed as I write this an hour later. Also, using plastic for everything dine in is really not okay in 2022.

Avoid this place. Zero effort or care put into the food they prepare. Don’t read orders properly and send wrong food and drinks out. Just an absolute waste of time and money.

The Pho is exceptionally bad, I presume they use pickled vegetables and onions so all I could taste was vinegar. Because of that it smells like it's off so wasn't sure if the ingredients were fresh. Such a shame...

An okey place for a quick bite. Tried the rice bowls but not much flavour. The most disappointing thing was that both the times we came here they didn’t have the Vietnamese iced coffee. Their reason for that was that they do not have the ingredients. For a Vietnamese place, this shouldn’t be the case as Vietnamese iced coffee is the significant drink of them and anyone coming to a Vietnamese restaurant would expect that to be available.

Me and my family went to roll'd Brunswick for lunch today. Table were not totally clean. We've ordered three bowl of pho, it was ok but no corriender. Chicken ribs was too cooked. We were served by Minh, he was eating chicken ribs in the kitchen which customer can see. Not hygienic at all. Whereas from our last visit, we were greeted by an caucasian young girl, she was lovely and the noodle was prepared by a young caucasian gentleman, I'm not being bias but it was a much more enjoyable visit.

I recently had a slight issue with my order at Roll'd Barkly Square. Sent an email to the address that is on other comments on google reviews. I received a really nice response from Twin shortly after. His prompt and gracious resolution of the problem showed excellent customer service. Despite the initial hiccup, the quick response & remedy not only resolved the issue but also left a positive impression. Thanks so much Twin and the barkly square roll'd team :)

Dirty Mc Donald’s wouldn’t even sell this

Ordered thru ubereats. There was no pork crackle in the banh mi, and the roll wasn't toasted. I also ordered a poached chicken soldier and the one that was delivered didnt have poached chicken in it. It wasn't crispy either, so goodness knows how the chicken was cooked. Won't be ordering again

Been coming here when it first opened had some nice staff , wonderfull meal and pleasant atmosphere . Unfortunately came here today , ordered chicken curry got pho instead when i told the staff he just swapped the soup and presentation was disgusting ! Ingredient wise , chicken is smelly and staff cant follow instructions . You need a full need team of staff from counter to kitchen !! Dont recommend anymore , the barkly square one !

Great meal and service by the young folk working here. I would recommend the Tofu and mushroom Pho. Good price and value.

The female Vietnamese staff was so kind & lovely, we enjoy the food very much every visit ! Sweet potato fries are super great with the sriracha mayo sauce it comes with !!

$11 for a Vietnamese roll. for that price I was thinking it better be the best one I'ver ever had. Pork dry, didn't get any crackling. Roll was tiny, nothing in it except 1 bit of cucumber and tiny bit of carrot. very disappointed.

A big disappointment from Roll’d. I ordered banh mi for $11. It was so small and no flavour in it whatsoever. It’s just a small roll filled with carrots and a bit of pork . I looked at the server’s face hoping he will top my roll with sauce but nope. What happened to that liver pate , sauce or chilly like any other normal banh mi place in Melbourne. Do they even understand what product they are selling? If they’ve been receiving low reviews, surely they should reflect and improve the product.

The lemongrass beef and soft shell grab rolls are so good. Feel lucky to have the restaurant nearby.

horrible service and food and the stuff doesn't know how to communicate and I found hair in my prawn roll and the sauce was expired and when I asked for a new one they made me pay for it.

I typically refrain from leaving negative reviews, but in this case, I must give it a 1-star rating. The rice paper roll tasted quite unpleasant, almost like leftovers, and the rice paper itself was as hard as a rock. If it were possible, I would have rated it a minus -10.

Bought Fried rice with Prawns and extra Prawns. The rice was like over cooked white rice . The worst rice dish I have had. Like a first timer learning how to cook rice. Waste of $34 for 2 people. Super bland and sludge. Gave it to the birds. I hope they like it.

Ordered takeaway yesterday:The Cóm roast pork & crackling & Gòi pork & prawn. The soup had no water at all, it was dry and filled with vegetables, I poured the hot water myself and the food was tasteless no flavours at all. The còi pork and prawn crackling was dry as well mainly filled with veggies, only 2pieces of pork and the food was also tasteless! We were so disappointed that only took 2 bites and had to throw the whole thing away. It wasn’t worth the $ at all. Would not buy from here again
