Look at the Dum-Biryani pic I posted. I ordered from "Biryani house" two times. First time, the rice quality was bad. But, my second experience was terrible as the biryani quality was the worst I ever tasted. The Rice clearly was taken out of a fridge & re-heated in oven and then delivered to me. The Chicken in this pic obviously looks like it's a left over piece the previous day or improperly cooked. My $16 got wasted on UBER EATS twice

It surprisingly good. Very tasty and spicy. It needs a bigger seating area. The meat is so tender. It’s must try food in the cbd. So busy around 8:00 pm. Get in quick before the peak. If you love spicy it’s for you. Need one in western suburbs.

The chicken was good. The chilli was just right, not very hot, but kicks a good heat. Rice is dry, and the curry was salty. Maybe will order a different dish next time.

Highly non recommendable 😤 Worst Indian cuisine ever!! Kadhai Paneer had a lot of food colors & tasted very bad. Not properly cooked Butter chicken was very plain except the gravy had a specific taste of coriander. Naan felt like rubber. Couldn’t eat at all. Never go back to this restaurant

Such a nice experience. Order chicken baryani and I give 10 out of 10 for taste. Rice was cooked really well. Bryani spies were not out of order, they look really taste while you are eating. Easy going staff, when we arrived it was full house still the way staff was doing its job was remarkable . Thanks for the food. Keep up the good work.

Very congested space. Couple of menu items we asked were not available. So, we had to choose some other menu items as shown in the receipt below. Smelly haryali chicken, bland chicken curry, most likely frozen and reheated garlic nans, mutton biryani rice was wet as if it was dipped in water and served, not bad chicken biryani. I would give -1 star if there is an option.

🍛🙂 The Chilli Paneer Biryani ($22.42) ordered via Uber Eats was quite good. Delicious rice and delicious paneer chunks that were buried deep. Only if the paneer hd been mixed more properly instead of me trying to dig those up. The paneer pieces were fine, the spices pretty mid. I'd still like to visit this place and try their other dishes.

Tried chicken biriyani and was not the standard I was expecting it to be. The chicken was marinated and soft with a large portion which is a plus for $15, but the rice was disappointing as it felt liked par boiled and not fully done. Also the rice had no moisture or flavour blended and felt dried out. Overall okay but you can’t tag it as a quality biriyani.

ordered chicken 65 for takeaway and had to wait 1hour in cold, after 45mins when i went to check why my order wasn’t ready the lady behind the counter told me “its in the frier” to which i asked if it takes 45mins to fry chicken 65 , we had to wait somemore.. the staff kept blaming each other for the delay.there were other customers also that have been waiting for 45mins… finally when we got home i opened the package to be disappointed even more. it dint taste like chicken 65 at all..

I went to this place for the fact that they had 2.1k reviews which should be a mixture of the good and bad but i sure didnt expect to pay this sort of price for what you can see on my plate. Yes this is their famous biryani for $17. Coloured rice and 1 drumstick marinated in some spice and put together in a bowl. Very bland test for the rice and the chicken had a lot of spice but no flavour. I will not recommend trying this place as there are heaps of other options who prepare biryani dishes with a lot more flavour. Staff wise- the owner put 2 ladies in the front who were only picking on people. Didnt like their customer service. I do see a few people review them as racist, i guess they probably are! Whats worst is they have a deal - 2 biryanis, 1 entree and a can of coke for $40 but will not sell it to you for dine in. Even if i order it and ask to eat there they cannot allow that. I ended up paying $37 for 1 biryani, 1 entree and a coke.

I ordered the lamb korma to go, it took 10 min to prepare, and it was fantastic! The lamb was falling off the bone, spiced just right. I've not had better korma anywhere. Really great meal deal, service and the most delicious korma I've ever had. Well done, definitely worth a go, very authentic and delicious!!

Undoubtedly one of my favourite places in the CDB. Their chicken and mutton Biriyani’s are fresh, healthy and very tasty. It is quite a busy place. They offer lunch deals with ready to serve food each day and the options are tasty and change each day. I have been a customer for 6 years now and never had any problems here. Staff here are polite and friendly.

Did a delivery through Uber eats! Goat biryani was good. Had more rice and less meat though. Didn’t send raita only sent salan. Tawa chicken was Hyderabadi style with curry leaves. Was very dry, had no sauce at all to eat with roti.

Ordered a goat biryani. Got it with complimentary chutney. Good amount of meat I should say. I was expecting like one or two pieces but it has like 5. Anyways, nicely cooked and tender meat, and delicious overall and only for 14 AUD.

The restaurant looked new, but the toilet was shamble. Horrible, looks like just interested in making money. Management should take a look. It was on 26 SEP around 2pm.

Amazing flavour and texture in the goat biryani, garlic naan and mango lassi. The bomb!!! Have been coming to Biryani House for years as I used to live around the corner, but today was my first time at their new La Trobe / King corner location. The atmosphere and decor were great and the staff are very friendly. Congratulations :)

One of the worst biryani. I ordered 3 types of biryani (veg, goat and chicken). All tasted and appeared like boiled rice and meat mixed together. And Paneer chill was even worse in taste and in terms of our health. You can see the photo below of my hand.

This is my first time trying this kind of food. Unfortunately have a very bad experience where we order the popular menu (biryani rice with chicken) but turns out the food come out after more than 20mins waiting. Which was absurd as it was their popular menu! Why they did not have a fresh stock knowing that was the popular menu? The service also very bad, they does not fluent on english while I dont understand their language. The food was for $16.5 but the taste just slightly good. Very minimal flavour but too many spices. They serve takeaway order more prioritised than eat in. A couple beside me order 2 menus (a guy and a girl). The food for the girl serves after the food of the guy was finished lol and they have no more appetite. And no one seems happy working there as no smile, and no thankyou. Will i come back? Probably no

I can't get enough of Biriyani House! Their biriyanis are fantastic, and they've become our go-to place to satisfy our biriyani cravings. The flavours are so close to authentic, it feels like a culinary journey to the heart of India with every bite. The biriyanis are incredibly delicious and leave you wanting more! But let me tell you about their Friday special, the Haleem – a Hyderabadi delicacy that's truly unique. Made from pounded meat and blended wheat and lentils, it's a symphony of flavours that I can't get enough of. It's a popular dish, and we've been disappointed before when it sold out quickly. However, this time, we learned from our past experience and made sure to be there right at 6.30 pm. And boy, was it worth it! The Haleem was simply divine, bursting with amazing taste and flavours that left us in awe. The prices at Biriyani House are very reasonable, especially considering the generous portions and the fact that the food is made fresh. Unsurprisingly, this place is always bustling with customers, but the slight wait is absolutely worth it. The staff is friendly and accommodating, making the dining experience even better. The biriyanis and the Haleem were cooked to perfection, and the spice level was just right for our Aussie taste buds – moderately spicy, adding a delightful kick without overwhelming the palate. I can't wait to visit Biriyani House again to relish their delightful biriyanis and savour another serving of their heavenly Haleem. If you're a fan of biriyani and love to explore unique flavours, this restaurant is a must-visit. You won't be disappointed

You can smell how good the byriani is from the street. The best bryiani in Australia and with prices nearly as cheap as in India.

I ordered through doordash. I was totally upsetting with this food. it’s the management responsibility to make sure food is good. It’s a thing because we are spending money and finally not worth it makes the experience even worse. Too much oil.

Closest you get to a dum biryani in Melbourne. Goat is tender and chicken melts in mouth. Rice fragrant, flavourful but holding its own. Just like it should. Saalan is spot on. Get it.

Very busy. Took a long time. Nice spicy vege curry, perfect rice. Not the best, but I'll try it again sometime. Convenient place when staying in this part of the CBD.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Biryani House in West Melbourne. The food quality was abysmal, with the biryani tasting bland and stale, as if it had been reheated multiple times. Additionally, the service was appalling, with the staff displaying an indifferent attitude and complete disregard for customer satisfaction. The overall hygiene standards were concerning, making the dining experience unpleasant and unappetizing. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic and flavorful Indian cuisine. It was a regrettable and unsatisfactory visit that left a bad taste in my mouth, both figuratively and literally."

Had a briani craving and tried Briyani house for the first time. I had a nice welcome and the food was ready very quick. The dish taste very good but kinda have too much Chilli (my taste). Overall I am satisfied! The price is decent too.

We came from Scotland for Cricket World cup 2022 And randomly found this place. Amazing taste Biryani was outstanding and so fresh Tandoori chicken grill one of best I had. Staff was so welcoming and looked after us well. Highly recommended and would go there again if ever visiting Melbourne in future.

The food is good value for money. You can get 2 meat curry with rice/naan only for $10. But it does get very busy at lunch hour and if you are planning to dine in then you might have to wait to find a clean table.

Front of house staff recommended I have bread instead of rice with my chicken 65. They were totally right I loved it so much better than the chicken 65 I get from other places. Thanks to the staff for being open to recommendations, best Indian cuisine since living in Melbourne last 6 months

I ordered chicken biryani and chicken tikka masala. My worst order till date. Whoever made this dish has no idea what biryani is. Serving chicken curry with rice is not called biryani. Dont know why you call yourselves biryani house. Chicken tikka masala was draining with water which was disgusting. Doesnt matter if it was of the salad, but it was too much. It had no taste at all. Seems like they dont care about customers who order takeaways. They dont even deserve 1 star!!
