Every time I've visited, my experiences have been disappointing. I sincerely advise against making any reservations and pre-paying. To quote management, "we leave it to staff discretion on the day." This policy of disregarding bookings leads to staff dealing with their managers' incompetence and lack of concern for customer satisfaction.

Won 10 games in a row against my mates with Tekken 2. Wasn't paying attention to the rest of the bar, but I'm sure it's aight. Anyways, I won 10 games of Tekken 2 in a row. 🤙😎🤙

Amazing cocktails (those espresso martinis are deliciously dangerous!!), great selection and mix of paid arcade games and free console games, killer playlist and an all gender toilet alongside the male/female loo. What an awesome, inclusive vibe. Literally planning to go back a week later it was so fun!!

A great bar with chill but fun vibes. Music isn't overly loud and all the staff are welcoming! Lots of arcade games, including Donkey Kong, Ms. Pacman, Pinball, Metal Slug, Street Fighter and Time Crisis 2. The video-game themed cocktails was a fun touch to make the whole space enjoyable for all.

This would have to be one of my favorite bars in Melbourne! Amazing drinks, retro and arcade games, fantastic atmosphere. You can actually hear the people near you speaking while you show off your pinball machine skills. Brought my friends here for a bux night and we had a blast!

A lot of the games have broken buttons. Place is packed and there's barely any room to stand. Staff kicked us off of a table when we were in the middle of eating. We went outside to the only tables available and then another staff member came out and told us that section was closed too. If you provide meals, provide a place to actually eat.

Love this little hole in the wall. Excellent selection of classic arcade games. Not too old (like pong) but not so new that you'd prefer playing on a console at home. Drinks at a decent Melbourne CBD price with a smoking patio and video games. A must see for old and new school social nerds and geeks like us.

Best bar in Melbourne! Always fantastic service, a wonderful range of drinks, with knowledgeable bar tenders. And the vintage arcade machines, lovingly maintained are the icing on the cake! From free to play "retro" consoles, to the best of the recent pinball machines, and everything in between. I could loose a whole weekend in here!

Seemed pretty hype, love the concept though but dunno if the machines are well maintained. The place is quite big, I didn't expect that. Had a go at some of the games and just brought back memories. Was middle of the week so wasn't that busy, love the booths with old consoles, would have been a better idea to have them in the open so people could join in.

Amazing place, lots of games to choose between. There are Nintendo 64 booths you can play with friend and lots of arcade games. There is also an outside area with tables and chairs.

A shame, really. I am tourist and given the reviews, I was expecting a bit more. The service was just fine, however, there is hardly a variety of retro games. I counted about 20 machines in total. You also have to pay $1/2 per game, and that can make it really expensive. Queensland offers a bigger variety of games and also memberships, so that you pay a set amount and you can play for as long as you want. I am giving this 3 stars simply because you can play N64 and they have two controllers. This appeals to the nostalgia of playing N64 games with your mates. Hopefully this place will improve in the future! I wish all the best to the bar.

Awesome bar with retro arcade and pinball goodness. Lots of great games to play. Go during the week and you'll have your pick of any machine. Weekend are obviously busier and you'll likely have to take turns. Good beer choices and a chill atmosphere. Fun place to hang out and spend an evening.

Have been here a few times for a quick drink and for a booth booking during COVID times. Drink prices are ok, I would say a little more expensive than usual. There are a wide selection of retro games, most are either $1 or $2. There is an outside smoking area. Service is friendly.

The night we went, the venue was dank and smelly. I was looking forward to playing the vintage arcade games, or using the kareoke rooms but some of the staff were rude, the cocktails were below average and smoke from the outside smokers area was permeating into the games area. Ladies toilet also had no paper. We were pretty disappointed and moved on to another venue fairly quickly.

Nice cocktails of average price, bartender was quite friendly, games were fun, overall we had a pretty nice time and it wasn’t too busy/noisy even on a friday night

Great bar with lots of classic arcade games. They happen to have most of my fave arcade games from my childhood. What really impressed me was the Donkey Kong arcade. I know this game saw a resurgence in popularity but this place has an OG. You could tell because of the little nug joystick and on top of that, it still works!! Bar staff was really friendly, only downside to our visit is that it was a quiet Wed night. I could imagine it feeling more lively on a Friday night but yeah, place is awesome!

Great place to go with friends or by yourself. They have plenty of Arcade machines, N64 areas, and even seats out the back. You can play games even while eating and drinking. The food is quite expensive, but the games are cheap. I had nachos and pizza, very tasty.

This bar is amazing if you're a gamer, a nostalgic, a group of friends looking for a good time, or anything in between. There are many different arcade games that you can play which are in mint condition (Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Pacman...), flippers, as well as different games on Nintendo 64 and more. I had a great time here.

Didn't stay that long, only about an hour. We were hoping for a bigger selection of arcade games. Reserving a room for Mario Kart seems to be the main appeal of this place but all the rooms were already reserved. Just play Mario Kart with friends and beer at home.

There is disabled access via a lift, but you need to get the barman’s attention to access it.

  • 3/5 Leagle 3 years ago on Google
Awesome staff, very friendly and did their best to serve people in the right order. The games were good and it gave people some fun things to do instead of sitting and talking. Two downsides: All the token machines were out of service so if you wanted to play the arcade machines you had to go to the bar and wait quite a while. We booked a booth for 10 people and the area given was *just* big enough for 8

This place takes you back to the 90s where arcade and gaming consoles where super popular. They have a decent selection of beers, wine and cocktails. But the selection of arcade games were pretty impressive as some of the games I haven’t seen since 90s. The night was a lot of fun.

  • 4/5 Seb M. 2 years ago on Google
Really cool bar, but very expensive drinks. $11 a schooner, 20$ cocktails which are mainly juice. Great decor and vibe though, it's nice to see everyone playing games and having fun. I'd be happy to pay those drink prices if the arcade cabinets were on freeplay

  • 3/5 Gabby B. 2 years ago on Google
Not many options for cocktails, can only really recommend Yoshi’s Island. The arcade games were great, but when we were in the booth we only played Mario Kart, not sure if we could play other games but worth asking as we overplayed it when we went.

Fun bar. Would recommend the venue to consider nicer glasses for the cocktails as they don't look as nice as the taste. Love going here for after work drinks, date nights & catching up with friends

  • 3/5 Tamara W. 2 years ago on Google
The bar itself was awesome and has a great set up - however, there was only one staff member on and at the time they seemed more occupied with chatting to their friend then serving us. When they did serve us they were super friendly though.

Great Atmosphere! Lots of Pinball and Arcade Machines as well as Nintendo 64 booths! Very welcoming and accepting of anyone who brings good vibes, which is very refreshing for Melbourne. Amazing Bartenders and Staff, always happy to help and have a very professional but also down to earth attitude. Big shout out to Nadia shes a gem! 💎

Great range of old school arcade games. Has home consoles too for 4 players etc. Nice array of 5 pins. Friendly staff. Leave yourself lots of time. Place to go'outside' for a puff too.

Very nice, yes. Great bar tenders. Love bar girl with white wig, Metallica shirt. We have had the best experience here, can't wait to come back

  • 3/5 Dan V. 1 year ago on Google
Used to love this place but changes over past few years have made it forgettable. Schooners only (significant mark up on price too), greater emphasis on private booths means the arcade machine numbers have been severely reduced or are crammed in to where you can't play them if others are playing, frequent breakdowns and number of machines out of order, staff are attentive when this happens but only so much they can do.

  • 5/5 Nicholas L. 1 year ago on Google
Amazing bar with old school arcades in the heart of the city. You can play to your hearts content whilst sipping your favourite beer or cocktail, and still smash those targets at time crisis 2 or whatever else you fancy that's available. Real flash from the past for a lot of the nostalgic types.

Quirky little bar, have been a couple of times and it’s been great. Does get a little busy at times so best to plan ahead

  • 4/5 KiN 9 months ago on Google
Had a great time. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We booked the private room, and it was just what we needed. The only drawback was a couple of the arcade machines not working properly/needing servicing.

  • 3/5 Mitchell 4 years ago on Google
Pros: nice atmosphere, free console games, friendly staff, gaming themed drinks Cons: broken/faulty games, closed smoking area too early leaving house of the dead unavailable to play - donkey Kong jump button faulty - playstation out of order - big buck out of order - SF alpha screen faulty - daytona out of order - NBA jam is priced incorrectly (8 tokens for a full game?)

  • 4/5 Web G. 2 years ago on Google
You're not coming here for a late range of food (options were a bag of potato chips, nachos and one other) or inexpensive drinks, your coming because it's a fun place to hang out for a while and, seems to be, one of the few places you can play pinball in the city.

Fun venue with many games for the taking (of your dollars). Gets pretty busy come 7 on the weekend with snack offerings and semi-surly staff, it’s a great alternative to a swanky bar. Would be a fun date location too.

Such a cool retro game bar. Lots of different games (console, pinball, arcade machines and private rooms to play with you have a group). The staff is very nice and helpful. Really worth a visit, such a fun place to be.

  • 3/5 Jess 5 years ago on Google
Niche little bar for retro gaming in the heart of the city. Slightly cramped in regards to space and with the way the machines are laid out (as best as possible). Cocktails were okay but a bit steep in regards to pricing. I can only remember it being dark with an eerie red light with lights illuminating from the machines. Would recommend going if you want to relive that sweet sweet nostalgia.
