Went for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised, the choice of food was good and very reasonably priced. The quality of food was good and rivals other surrounding breakfast establishments 👀. Although in my opinion the breakfast menu was a bit over complicated (two menus) but some could say they're tailoring to everyone 🤷🏼‍♂️. Nonetheless I will be definitely coming back to have the same

A really great family pub. Nice menu with a wide variety of delicious food and drink. We had a Father's day/birthday meal and everyone enjoyed their choice of dinner. The waitresses were courteous, friendly and attentive. Well worth a visit or two.

We booked a table for 9 for Father's Day. (Age range from 10 years old to 83 years old) The food was delicious and the service was brilliant. We were all well fed and happy. Definitely be back soon.

Had a meal at the Crown with family mid way home on a random weekday evening. Surprised to see how busy it was. This isn't one of the large Hungry Horse pubs, but has plenty of parking out the back, bar well stocked with drinks and service was quick. As with all Hungry Horse pubs, there is a massive list of options on the menu - if anything perhaps too much choice! We only had a main meal, and that was nice tasting and well presented, and we utilised one of their offers which meant that drinks and meals for 2 people came in at about twenty quid. Based on our experience I would stop here again for a meal if in area, and wouldn't hesitate to bring kids if they was with us as well as seemed fairly child friendly.

The staff and meal were fine except for the older gentleman behind the bar (? manager) who was very rude after we said we had booked and he did not agree. He asked his staff to shove our party round the corner out of the way! I must add the rest of the staff were pleasant and helpful.

We stopped off at this lovely pub the day before my brothers wedding and it was super lovely. The atmosphere was great and lively, the food was really delicious and rhe service was very good.

Vegan lasagne was absolutely delicious! All the other food was great too and drink deals was great. It was super good! However less stars as staff seemed stressed and ignored us the entire time we were there. I asked for the table to be cleaned and the lady abruptly said “I’m coming” and after waiting 20 minutes for our plates to be cleared I moved them to another table. It could have just been a busy Saturday and possibly shortage of staff. Will definitely return.

Low quality british pub Bar- asked to for recomendation what to eat and the guy behind the bar said he don't know what to recommend or what are his favourite choices...Anyway... Starter- Got my hot wings and lets be honest- low quality chicken wings with low quality pour out from the bottle tabasco hot sauce is never good idea especially when sauce is at the bottom of the basket. Gosh- just toss them around so the presentation is there! Maybe add some spring onion to it and make it look good! Anyway Main course- chips were ok, cooked in fresh oil, burger- dry bum, dry putty, lack of veggies and cheese bearly recognisable, corn was absolately overcooked and smells bad- bad all in all. Plate on the right was the same chicken wings what I get for starter but no sauce this time and piece of steak covered in bbq sauce. I coudn't even cut the steak so I don't know if it was ok to eat. Anyway it was covered in bbq sauce? Why? There was some sort of garnish on the plate made out of overcooked pepers I think but I didn't even tried it after whole dinner experience. Loads of room to improve. I leave 5 stars as I know that if I leave less than that you may loose the customers. Hope some decision maker will read it and act on it

Dec 2023 Visited with a couple of old school friends, one of whom I hadn't seen for almost 40 years. The catch up was great. The food was great value and my mixed grill was really tasty with a good quality steak. 2 of the 3 of us were driving so Heineken 0.0 was just right. Plenty of catching up was done with another catch up due in the new year.

Went this evening with family. Great choice so there was something for everyone. The place was heaving with people eating, the staff were very polite and friendly and didn't looked phased by it. Our food was served within a reasonable time and was very tasty. Everyone went home with full bellies and it was very good value for money. Will definitely come back.

My local pup/eatery the food here is lovely great portions friendly staff and it's just down the road, what more could you ask for.

Love this place. Service excellent. Nothing too much trouble. Food well presented . Served hot and always good size of portions. Hiya folks waited seem like for ever food was good when I got it . There clearly is a shortage of staff and the landlord not to be seen. This pub has taken the eye off the ball and the manager should be put in the dole where he can spend a lot more time with his feet up watching tv. A under cover boss is needed he ASAP before you loose your customers to other pubs.i seen lots of people asking for refunds on food and deserts were going to wait any longer.

We visited Crown at Claydon on a Sunday afternoon. We walked in and found ourselves a seat. We ordered a shared starter on the greene king app and paid. Within about 10-15 minutes we was advised that this item was not available and that we could have something else or a refund in cash. We chose a refund in cash. If the item wasn’t available, it shouldn’t show on the app. We ordered a main meal via the app and there was a long wait for the meals to arrive. The toilets were in a poor state of repair. I flushed the chain and the water came right to the top of the bowl. I reported to the bar staff but didn’t seem that bothered. Lots of parking available.

Reasonable quality food at reasonable price from a large corporate dining chain. All food was fine except all those who chose the steak option were disappointed. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Ideal venue for our mothers day outing (party of 10)

Drove into their nice big car park, found a comfy bench table inside. I went to bar to order breakfast for two, quick friendly service. The food was very good and extremely reasonable priced! Will definitely be coming back!

The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. They, unfortunately, can't offer any milk alternative so if you are happy to buy milk from the shop next door, they are happy to prepare your drink using that. We were a table of 9, a mixture of adults and children. Some of the food was rather overcooked, and when we asked for the food to be replaced we had nearly finished before the missing items arrived. We had asked a few times but it never came.

I often go to The Crown on Friday or Saturday evenings, the atmosphere is great and the staff are always friendly and welcoming with great service. I also go most weeks on a Sunday with my boyfriends family and the food is lovely and quick service with a warm welcome from staff each time. Over all I would recommend the crown for its hospitality and delicious food!

They were very busy but all the staff were very friendly and polite. My friend loved her Steak and Ale Pie and even though I order from their Kids menu they are always fine with me doing that. I really enjoy coming here with my friends.

Had a lovely meal here. Eventhough the pub was quite busy, we got our food quickly. Food was great and very affordable.

We came in as a family for a meal last Saturday the night before our wedding. Jasmine and the team were absolutely exceptional.
