Great old castle with a very nice museum. Lots of information about and also quite interactive. Well worth a visit while in Miercurea-Ciuc. The exhibition about the history of Miercurea Ciuc was my favourite.

Considering the size of the town, this is an excellent museum. Formally, a castle it has been repurposed to display local history & heritage. Some excellent displays about paintings, communist history, castle history, and more. The courtyard is nice to relax and absorb. Information is trilingual, which is very impressive. I was invited here as a guest by the local administration

Exceptional in every sense of the word: great exhibits, great curation, tasteful display, highly informative and has a very fresh and modern vibe. The building itself is gorgeous as well. Depending on interest it's good for anywhere between two and four hours, it has plenty of reading material, most of it I would qualify at the upper intermediate level, the museum aims at people with some knowledge of history

Not so good. The guide did not tell us any information, she just showed us the way.

A great experience, enough to get an idea on the city history but not to much in order to get bored. I managed ro read most of the labels and the museum is also interactive in some sections. There is a big parking near the museum, free of charge, so you can visit it if you are nearby and also have a walk in the city or ear something.

Its exhibitions combine the past of the city with the period during the comunism and the present and future through innovative exhibition related to new discoveries (not sure if the last one was a temporary exhibition).

We had the pleasure of visiting this place when the old music festival was playing. Aside from that, the museum is very interesting.

A great way to learn more about how the local families used to live. Also, it has a geographic representation of the Harghita county with all its specific plants, animals and mountains. The info is available in English, Hungarian and Romanian.
