We stayed at the Holiday Inn in London Gatwick on the first and last days of our holiday with 15 day parking in-between. Check-in was speedy and smooth. We were not happy with the first room offered due to lingering smells and it was no trouble at all to allocate us another room which was spacious, clean and welcoming. Spacious bathroom with a good shower. We had relaxing drinks in the bar which were keenly priced. All throughout the stay staff were very welcoming, helpful and thoughtful. The regular shuttle service throughout the night was an added bonus. Would definitely stay there again in the future.:-)

Very convenient stay, close to the airport. Perfect place to quickly freshen up and get on your next flight. Shuttle bus is easy enough and you can just pay with card as you get on. Food was decent but the service was amazing!! Bradley and Anton were very kind and provided excellent service.

Very nice hotel (even nicer than expected considering how “functional” most airport hotels are). Room was spacious and clean. Food choice was good and reasonably priced, with kids eating free. Service was friendly and accommodating, with a shout out to Caroline at the breakfast bar who was very attentive.

From the moment I walked in I experienced a completely different experience than my wife did a week earlier. Upon speaking to a front desk staff member I was immediately spoken down to as I tried to explain why I was arriving at 9:30 am (I had already messaged the hotel weeks before of my early arrival from Canada) I was told very harshly that there was already 3 parties waiting a head of me for early check in, then they indicated to the other people sitting in the lobby. I agreed that an early check in can't always be accommodated. After sitting down in the lobby, all 3 parties ended up getting on a airport shuttle bus and leaving to go to the airport. I waited till noon, which I was told by the staff was how long I would need to wait to get my room. At noon when I spoke to the same staff member I was told no and to give another 25 mins. I waited again and was given my room. As I walked down the hallway to another hallway with the rooms down it, a cleaning staff member "stepped over" my bag I was wheeling beside me to get ahead of me, without even acknowledging I was even there. The staff member did so only to get to a cleaning cart parked halfway down the hallway, then stood beside the trolley making it even harder to walk past when I approached (they did not move or acknowledge I was walking past) The room I was given was a normal room. The hotel claims to have plug adapters for guests. So I went to borrow one as I hadn't bought one myself yet. I should have just gone to buy one as the one they lent to me was clearly labeled that it would not change the voltage of the plug. This would have fried my phone as we use a different voltage in Canada. The bed in the room was two singles pushed together, which made for a very uncomfortable sleep as the ridges from both mattresses were very firm down the middle of the bed. I found a stain on one hand trowel in the bathroom. After settling in a bit I was able to speak to my wife who had spent the night there a week prior, she told me that when she was there she spoke to the front desk staff about my arrival and due to travel plans and flights we would unfortunately be spending our anniversary apart. She discussed what, if anything they could do to make me feel more welcome while I was there alone. The staff member assured her they would do something nice for me and supposedly put the notes in the computer under my reservation, she also mentioned I would be showing up early and that they would help out two get me a room earlier than the normal check in time. Again the staff failed to be truthful about their intentions and did nothing when I arrived. The following morning after a terrible night on the uncomfortable mattresses I went for breakfast in the hotel. This was the only enjoyable part I had there as the food wasn't too bad. But, I couldn't find the ketchup so I asked another staff member where it might be. Now granted I had seen this staff member going in and out of the kitchen with plates so I thought that it would be a valid question. I guess not. I was told "I don't work in this section then pointed at the entire kitchen behind me and said it's over there, all the while never breaking stride as they walked away. The breakfast was pricey, at 16.85 pounds. Again my wife told me that at her check in they said if she bought the breakfast then it was quite a bit cheaper. I was not offered this. All in all this was a terrible experience and I would never go back or recommend anyone stay at this hotel.

Great stay for a night between flights. Transportation to the hotel from the airport was great as they have a bus that goes directly to the hotel. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The buffet breakfast had a lot to choose from.

A good place to stay for business in Crawley. Comfortable bed and decent room. I was given an executive room, was roomy and comfortable for the 1 night stay. Restaurant food was good value for money, and breakfast was good, too. The receptionist Daria was very professional, friendly, and welcoming despite her long shift. Would go here again.

Large group of us stayed there before our trip to St Lucia. Service was great from everyone - check-in, staff in the restaurant (especially Dylan), check-out etc. We also had rooms next to each other which was great as it’s not always guaranteed. Rooms were spacious and clean. Shuttle bus was easy to use, picked us up straight outside and it wasn’t long to the airport. The Holiday Inn was exactly everything we needed before our trip and I’d definitely stay there again.

Nice hotel especially considering it's vicinity to the airport. Was booked here through my company and am pleasantly surprised. Decent size rooms and clean. Shuttle bus to the airport is available 2 or 3 times per hour on a fixed schedule 24/7. Lastly I have to thank the very pleasant staff. All members of staff I came in contact with were very helpful and took time for you. Very pleasant experience. Special thanks to Jade from the Bar for helping me with a small discrepancy. Only real negative for me is that the rooms airconditioning auto resets to 25 degrees. Some people might like this, but that is about 5 degrees above my liking. After adjusting it the room is quickly at a comfortable temperature though.

I was happy with everything. A good size room and bed. Fridge, iron, fast Internet and a large TV. Some complimentary toiletries too plus a sofa and desk in the room. Staff were helpful and friendly. Lots of charging points too plus they do wake up calls. The only negative is that the bus to the terminals is £4.50. I feel this is a bit much to go down the road.

I booked a one night stay at Holiday Inn and also parking for 8 days. The Hotel itself was good, clean and of a good standard. The car parking though was not great. On arrival (Nov 2) the car spaces were few and far between. The cars were packed really tightly and it took a few circuits to find one that I would be able to get out of the drivers door once parked. Upon return on the 10 Nov, I was informed the car was in its original position. Unfortunately some kind soul had decided to key the passenger and drivers door. This resulted in a £250 repair. There was no way the Hotel would be able to use their CCTV to identify when it happened as the vehicles were jammed in so closely and it would necessitate going through many hours of CCTV footage which no Hotel would contemplate or would be expected to. My experience therefore was good for the actual hotel but there is no way I would take a chance again on parking there. Just unfortunate but worth noting if you are considering using the car parking facility.

We booked this holiday with a parking package for a week whilst away on holiday. The price was reasonable and as so close to the airport, it worked really well. We arrived at night and found the lighting in the car park poor and also the signage wasn't amazing. This was a small issue as the staff were all amazing and it was a good stay. The room was very clean and adequate for a one night stay with free WiFi. We visited the restaurant and there was a good selection of food and drink with reasonable prices. The waiting staff were very friendly and whilst they were covering the bat and restaurant, at no point were we left too long without assistance. We got a shuttle bus in the morning where again the reception staff were incredibly helpful. Great job Holiday Inn, you've assembled an excellent team!! (Perhaps look at the lighting in the car park). Will definitely visit this hotel again.

Had the room and car parking booked since the start of the year. Turned up and spent the first 5 minutes driving around the car park not a single space. Ended up after going in to ask, and having to park on a bit of grass out of the front of the hotel, which was a bit of a mud pit really. On checking in, it seemed to take a while, the two behind the check in desk kept muttering to each other about not being able to find a room. Eventually got given a room, now keep in mind I had booked a family room, the room had 2 beds, this is a family of 4, for us was 2 adults 2 kids one of them being a teenager. My wife went down to ask about this and was told that is normal and we would have to share beds, or basically fobbed off, we had an early start so just tried to make do. At 1 o'clock in the morning my 5 year old son fell out of the bed they were both trying to fit in, obviously woke us all up, fortunately he was ok other than being a bit upset. At that point I went down to reception, the manager this time did offer us another room, but by then it really was too late as we had to be up in a few hours, plus I was quite honestly livid and no way getting back to sleep at that point. I was refunded 50% but considering we had a long day ahead of us, this really wasn't the experience we had hoped for. I've stayed at one the other hotels before there, and the experience was far better. Based on my experience I would avoid this hotel, personally I'm never staying at a Holiday Inn ever again after how we were treated.

A great place to stay with a car parking offer to leave your car when you go away. The staff were knowledgable and quick on the car process and car was left for 11 days with no issues. It was very easy to take a bus or a taxi (we did one, one way and one another). Room was huge and comfy and had a very nice walk in shower. Very quiet and easy to sleep.
