Came here for a midweek work meal. Great choice of gin, ales and food menu was tough to pick from! The food all came together and was well portioned and tasty. Colleague had the double chocolate brownie which was "amazing"! Service was also good, needed to add that!

This was my first time here but my partner had been here before ..A excellent run place and the staff were lovely to...I never saw anyone not working everyone was always busy ...The food was amazing I had chicken ham and leek pie with creamy mash and a white wine and tarragon sauce...my partner had the burger...I give mine 10 out of 10 and so did my partner....I do cleaning for a living and couldn't find anything other than a clean environment...The toilets were also 10 /10 .We will be back thank you for a relaxed enjoyable evening.

One of the best pub lunches and experiences I’ve had in a very long time. This pub is superb. Not enough superlatives to describe it. The pub is lovely, really nice laid back, traditional pub but with a modern feeling. Very spacious and lots of seating indoor and outdoor. The outdoor area is huge and covered, with plenty of heaters. Ideal for larger groups. The food is amazing. Had the roast beef Sunday lunch, genuinely one of the best Sunday lunches I’ve had in a very long time. Superb. Staff are friendly and welcoming. A bit on the expensive side but well worth the money. Highly recommended

The service and food was excellent. Our table of four were inspired by Lizzie's pleasant and inviting manner. All through a busy and demanding evening, she was not only efficient and professional but incredibly knowledgeable on the whole menu. She should be Manager!

My sister and I had a light lunch here yesterday, and it was absolutely delicious. We both had the potted trout and smoked mackerel, which came with a little pool of melted lemony butter on top, and a very nice, tangy side salad of rocket, samphire and capers. It was served with a good slice of rye toast. I had mine with a glass of lovely full-bodied Malbec. The whole pub was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean, including the toilets. The staff were delightful, and - joy of joys - we were addressed as "ladies", not the usual ghastly "guys". We highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Ordered Cod&chips, Beef burger and Mushroom soup with truffle fries, service was good but food wasn't. Cod and chips were soaked in oil (perhaps oil wasn't hot enough before it was put in and it absorbed it all). Burger patty was very dry, onion chunks weren't sliced well. Mushroom soup was good, truffle fries did not have truffle flavour at all. Very disappointing experience for us and our guests. You expect home made food at a local pub, not commercially produced.

Solid gastropub grub experience with great indoor and outdoor seating options. Friendly staff and a cosy environment. The menu was extensive and covered all bases. Dropping a star as our plates were never cleared even after coffee's arrived and the car park does not seem to have the capacity to cope with a busy service.

If I could give 10 stars I would! My first visit, with my 91 year old mum, for Sunday lunch. All the staff we saw looked happy and engaged; they were all attentive and moved at a pace, but not rushed. The food was served quickly (we both ordered a roast) and was piping hot, really tasty, and well-presented. Lovely coffee to finish. We shall definitely return and can thoroughly recommend this place. Many congratulations to the management and staff - you havr have clearly cracked it!

Great place. Large and bustling pub with large restaurant. Good selection of food that was well-cooked and well presented and friendly and attentive staff. Good ambience.

Had an amazing evening at The Pheasant with friends for dinner. The design and decor is so welcoming, tidy, clean and great quality. The staff serving us were so pleasant and helpful. We had great humour between us and the staff and it all made for a great experience. Our group have a "Irish Coffee - challenge wherever we go - and would like to congratulate you on winning the "Best Irish Coffee" award - where SO many other places have failed us!. Location is ideal with loads of parking close to the entrance. Please visit as you will not be disappointed. A++

Stopped over during our road trip. The atmosphere is so welcoming and the food is delish! I had the mixed sunday roast and i cant recommend enough. They also had a whole menu to list out dietary restrictions, very inclusive for people with allergies and intolerances. Very friendly staff too!

Three of us had a delicious Boxing Day lunch here. The food was something a bit special especially the vegan options which were more interesting than in some other places. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the service impeccable. Couldn't fault it.

Wow, first time in this restaurant and amazing, the welcome from staff was amazing, big smiles and just so willing to help all the time. The food arrived at our table and was just so well presented and delicious. When the meal finished and we ordered desert my hubby and I opted for coffee and we wanted pouring cream instead of milk and they made a plan, so well presented in the blue and white beaker just fell in love with the fact that they so willing to go the extra mile. I had to use the wheelchair facilities for my MIL and we took a little wheel about into the interior reataurant and the decor and atmosphere inside was so inviting.Thank you Pheasant at Buckland we as a family enjoyed every interaction with your staff and bite of scrumptious food your chef presented to us. Best of everything 👌

This place definitely needs reporting…. …. for excellence! Let’s start with the ‘rest rooms’ - spotless - says it all really - attention to detail here speaks volumes and quite clearly such fastidiousness will be through out. The welcome, the service, the enthusiasm and politeness from everyone reflects on the whole team of colleagues in general and the leadership in particular. Food - fresh leaves, fresh bread, a thick steak burger cooked throughout (so many kitchens struggle doing this) - Great meal chef -thank you.

Lovely garden with well spaced out tables. Even table service in the garden, service with a smile. A delicious starter of prawn cocktail- the prawns were full of flavour. And the stater of belly pork was so tender and came with a very tastey unusual salad. Both highly recommended. The main meal of fish and chips was a bit overpriced! And there was disappointment as no sausage and mash was on the menu!

Excellent service as always, thank you. Food arrived in very good time after ordering. 2nd visit after moving to the area 2 months ago. Cod and chips was very good. Roast dinners were also delicious. However, portion sizes were very large and the 3 of us adults who ordered them, could not finish our meals. Perhaps worth considering this so there is less waste? We will definitely return and hope to enjoy the lovely outdoor space as well next time.

A friend and I had lunch today at The Pheasant. I'm coeliac so great to see such a wide choice of GF food. There was a small problem with both meals arriving at the same time due to a kitchen machine but this was dealt with in a very charming way by the manager. Food, setting and staff all terrific Can thoroughly recommend and will be back soon.

It appeared rely busy on a sunny Sunday lunchtime, so not surprising. However the service was very quick, friendly and efficient. There was a very good choice of real ales. I had the crispy butter chicken burger. It was probably the nicest most tender piece of chicken I have had in years. Freshly cooked with tasty other bits in the burger. My wife had the veggie Wellington which she said was very nice.

Just popped in here on my way to London and it was fantastic! My first Christmas dinner of 2023 which was cooked perfectly. The service from Lizzie was second to none. Definitely recommend ✨

The best Christmas lunch out we have ever had. Perfectly cooked, plenty of it, and served by a happy, smiling and wonderful team. Thank you all so much!

Booked for Sunday lunch for 6 people, staff were very friendly and accommodating, food service was quick and food was excellent. The pub has plenty of parking and the building itself is amazing. We sat outside, as weather was good, in which there was plenty of seating under a very large gazebo. Would highly recommend.

Great food and lovely garden. Gets very busy understandably so if you want a table inside best to book.

I've been to the pheasant a few times, and every visit I've been impressed with. The last was with my team at work so 10 of us and everyone had a great evening. The staff were very attentive and friendly, the food came out quickly and everyone said how good it was. Also has a good choice of alcoholic drinks that cater to every taste. It also has a substantial outside seating area, but it does get v busy in good weather so you'd need to pre book

The Pheasant is part of a small pub chain, but unlike so many other pub chains, it feels like a one-off because of how you're looked after and how good the food is. It's quite a big pub with different areas to dine in, so it doesn't feel like you're eating in a dining hall, plus the outside area with it's spectacular fabric 'sail' room is fabulous. Great atmosphere, lovely people, highly recommended.

Absolutely loved our evening at the Pheasant. The setting is beautiful, warming and comfortable, with plenty of space between tables so you don't feel like you're being overlooked. The service was brilliant, with all the staff very friendly, quick and attentive. And the food was amazing. The menu isn't the largest, but varied, and every meal was delicious. Even on a busy evening, we weren't left waiting at any point. We'll definitely be back for more!

Excellent country pub with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and great food. Friendly staff and impressively quick service. Appealing menu with some delicious fish options; the pie was great too. Lots of tables, though it can get busy in the evenings so worth arriving before 7pm if you haven't booked. Ample on site parking and only a few minutes out of Reigate.

We loved this place, everything was perfect! The Sunday roast is marvellous, and really all other food that we ordered, although it was super busy the food was very fast and the service was great! Well done!

Lovely Ladies’ lunch. Overall a 5 star experience. Only 4 for service because of wait time from ordering to receiving main course (no starters). It was not a major issue as we were not in a hurry but tummies we’re rumbling! Not a staff issue. They were welcoming, polite and tried to resolve wait time. Food was delicious.

Great pub Wonderfully decked out and attentive staff. Can get busy so booking tables should be considered if your going at peak times Huge two level open air carpark Play area for the kids with an old style tractor to mess.about with Drinks costs are reasonable as is the food which is to be fair very tasty and well proportioned. Dog friendly with tie spots and lots of drinking bowls. Worth a visit

Sunday roast with pint of Harvey's. In the shade after a nice walk. Good pub. Excellent choice of beers. Very busy outside but too hot for us and our dog. Much cooler inside.

Lovely, clean and spacious pub-restaurant. Had passed by it loads of times and finally decided to pop in for a meal. Had the fish and chips which was tasty, and generously portioned. Service (while not exceptional) was good. Will definitely return.

This is my local now and has been for a while the staff and management are so attentive always smiling and welcome you whether your just in for a pint or two, coffee or full meal. The Pheasant is also so clean in every way and toilets spotless Gary looks after the grounds and in summer it's a pleasure to sit outside and look at his work grass, flowers, shrubs all immaculate. I'm moving soon and I know finding another pub like the Pheasant will be very hard - Thanks all. Mike

Excellent service. Also one of our party was in Wheelchair and the Pheasant was one of the easiest places we have been to ... easy parking, well spaced out tables and excellent disabled toilet facilities. Food good but the menu is not exciting. Perfect for a group.

In spite of the fact that it is the festive season and The Pheasant was full of large tables having parties, we, who were only two, still felt completely welcomed and looked after. Neither rushed nor forgotten about - attentiveness to us was just perfect. Atmosphere happy, food good. Thank you team for a great evening.
