Stayed at this hotel twice and my second experience was the absolute worse. After booking in, the gentleman who took my payment had issues with the machine, it would not print a receipt. I verified to him that the transaction went through to my bank but he and the owner wanted to swipe my card a second time. I refused and the kept me up for almost an hour at my room door asking dumb questions that could have waited until I checked out in the morning. Then in the morning the housekeeping crew was so rude they opened my room door after I answered saying I am getting dressed. It was a waste of money as the original rooms had water damages.

The owner has a real nasty attitude toward guests and staff. The place needs a lot of TLC. The windows do not lock, although there are security bars over them. Knobs hanging off the dresser drawers. Remotes missing batteries The location is great though if you're looking to stay on the strip

This is not merely a hotel, it's a living legacy and homage to an inspirational Jamaican entrepreneur. Yes, the rooms could use an update as it's reminiscent of the 70's and 80's, but is that really so bad? No, it's not. There are plenty of trees and shade so it's naturally cooler on the property. The service and hospitality was A1, literally the ABSOLUTE BEST ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿพ If you're looking for a locally run, Jamaican establiment that is inclusive of community members, check out this gem. I even met Ms. Minto herself, I was star struck! ๐ŸŒŸ What an inspiration!!! She has apartment style accommodation, vallet parking, a full kitchen open from 7am and even a farm in the back, truly amazing ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ. If I didn't hate mobay so much, I woulda come back. Lol. (We're closer to Kingston side). And finally, thank you Ms. Maria! You will forever be in my memories for your kindness and gorgeous smile. Much love to all โค๏ธ ๐Ÿ˜

I visited the Wednesday (2 days before) to make my reservation and was told I would pay on arrival. Got there on Friday for check in n was told I would have to redo the process as my previous reservation would have been "thrown away" .. what was the point.. they only had the suites on the top floor left which were the second most expensive.. went ahead n decided to go thru with it anyway.. the receptionist gave the option of picking the room between 2107 & 2109. I picked 2107 after viewing especially since 2109 had no remote for either the tv or the ac.. I got a key n left to get my things.. returned a few hours later n stopped at my door.. while looking for the key I noticed noise n light coming from the room so naturally I said wrong room.. but then I noticed I was going too far down the hall n stopped... I checked the key n to my surprise it said 2109.. wen I went to the receptionist (different from the one who attended me earlier) all he could say that there was nothing he can do Abt the room being switched or the fact that there was no remote n frankly he did not care since his phone was so much more important. I returned to the room n managed to get the ac on but not the tv.. the room was dirty and smelled funny. The hot water in the shower took forever to come on and there was hair on the sink. The ceiling fan doesn't work at all.

ROACHES! ROACHES, ROACHES, and ANTS! Did I mention ROACHES? This place needs to be condemned and wrapped in caution tape. We checked in, and then checked out in less than one hour. As soon as we opened the door, the huge cockroaches scattered. I would rather sleep on the streets. We didn't bother asking for a refund because we knew they wouldn't oblige. The door knobs were flimsy, and you could see directly outside. Didn't appear to be safe at all. Since they were sold out, we sold our room key to some people who had nowhere to go. Thankfully, we were able to go back to the 5-star resort that we had just left. All I can say is RUN and try not to miss your flight!

Iโ€™ve being staying at Glorianna for years as a stop over to the airport .For the price ,the accommodations are fair and reasonable . If u want luxury hotel then go pay luxury price. The place is conveniently located minutes from the airport , the hip strip and downtown Mobay . The door man Mr Scarlet goes above and beyond to help the guest . The staff are warm and again ; For the cheap rates , itโ€™s unfair to expect luxury accommodations.

Just returned from an eight day stay at Hotel Gloriana. Beautiful and unique, quiet, clean, the staff we're very friendly and had a great sense of humor, Green and Scarlet are wonderful guys and very helpful. What made my stay/vacation so special was meeting the owner Gloriana and had a picture taken of us together, such a lovely lady. Loved the movie of Gloriana I highly recommend anyone staying at the hotel to buy the movie, I have the book from Gloriana's early days, but have not read it yet I'm sure it will be very interesting. Look forward to staying at Hotel Gloriana next year and hopefully for a longer time. It is very close to the airport ๐Ÿ‘. I forgot to mention Dion beautiful, friendly and has a great sense of humor, she works in the kitchen, dinning area and room service.

Stayed here for one night (Dec 28-29) and left as soon as we woke up. My husband and I were covered in bed bugs!!! Disgusting! Once we mentioned it to the woman at the front desk she alluded that yes it has been a problem before. All she said was โ€œsorry about that.โ€ Management has not called me. I am not impressed and will not be back!

Rooms dirty and AC leaks awfully! There is no proper customer service and house keeping was very rude!! She opened the door while I was naked! The worst and far most embarrassing moment of staying in hotels whether big or small Iโ€™d never revisit!

The place is rundown the rooms are old and dirty the bed sheets are old the customer service in horrible there are a lot of Roaches and ants in the rooms the televisions do not work the wifi is in and out and the security takes forever to open the gate if you want to get in or out and the scammers seem to love staying there

This place is absolutely stuck in the 70's/ 80/'s with the decor. Some of the rooms smell of damp basement. The facility is stingy with the basics.. (1) towel, wash cloth, and hand towel per person. Only (1) physical room key is given per room, and the air conditioning barely works. Also, the towels are hard like sand paper. Barely any cleaning is done. Stay here as an absolute last resort.

I recommend Gloriana my suitcase didnโ€™t make it and I had to find a place I visited a few places using goggle I came across this place the front of the building was not the best but when on entering itโ€™s a different feeling the room was up to standard I was also pleased with the air conditioner it was blazing. The morning I went to the kitchen area ordered my breakfast and received it in 5 mins very calm place I highly recommend they also have areas for party or little functions.

This was the worst hotel I've been to. The rooms are unkempt. The towels and bed linens were worn. The kitchenette didn't even have a kettle and we had to buy hot water. Parking facility was horrible. Had to wait at the gate for security to open to go in and come out. Lighting in parking area was low and had to skip through ๐Ÿฆ†, peacock, and geese mess. Breakfast tasted good however. Bacon with eggs.

I loved Staying in Glorianas, on 10/06,8,9,10/2023. I checked out on 10/11/2023, however they could have more than 2 plug outlets. I loved that there was a restaurant on site, they had all sort of drinks including alcohol, the food was delicious, the restaurant employees were very pleasant. I do have a complaint, there is a dishonest employee in Gloriana. I used my credit card to pay for the room for 3 nights and days from October, 8th to the 10th, check out was on October, 11 2023. That dishonest employee charged my credit card after I checked out and was long gone $347.49. I am very disappointed and upset and I plan to call Gloriana the owner or manager because that employee deserves to be terminated, she or he which I believe is a woman because she also went a beauty supplie store in Mobay

I had a horrible experience there. I waited an hour for the attendant to clean the room, I got biten by bed bugs and found roaches in the room. I was told after paying and got in the room that I should pay more because it was Sumfest week. There was no wifi, the AC didn't work properly, and when I tried taking a shower in the night, I had no hot water.

I've been to MBJ about 6 times Gloriana would def qualify as a best buy. Location close to ocean within walking dist of many places of interest There are hotel/ resorts w more accessible rooms (fewer steps) and others w their own and better restaurant, but Glorianas is also clean comfy beds and nice decor. True some things need repair from latches and hinges on sliding and closet doors to missing lite bulbs Biggest pluses for me are the wifi and AC work (not always the case in low and moderately priced hotel/ resorts). Rooms fronting the street can be very noisy even overnight Compliments to the staff and owner for finding and assisting me a quieter room

Rooms are dirty and old. Needs to be redone. Old furniture old towels old bed sheets you don't feel clean staying there. It's gross. And the staff is rude. It's cheap but not cheap enough. They also wanted to charge me an extra 80 dollars for my kid to stay I've never heard of that before. When I asked why they said because of the extra water and ac he would use. Hahaha I refused to pay that charge. How much extra ac does a 5 yr old use? ๐Ÿค”

The AC wasn't working. Ants so much Ants. A mouse in the pool. Music that played so loud and late at night. Hard bed. No fridge or microwave. Will not be coming back. Switching to another hotel. Ohh and the water for the shower was cold. The only good thing was they had good wifi. The receptionist didn't even have our reservations on arrival.

Extremely rude and unprofessional staff especially the owner/manger. She was so rude and discriminated my appearance especially my hair. She had no manners whatsoever and donโ€™t know how to speak and treat people. Do not recommend at all!!

It's a good place. Great history. However, if a guest needs drinking water in the middle of the night a basic commodity we have to go elsewhere. However pretty decent place, close to all the great things in the city with pretty decent price.

The room showed tremendous wear and tear; there were roaches in the room, and loud noise and voices throughout the night and early morning.

Can't say it was my greatest hotel visit, however I did have fun. Food was a definite ๐Ÿคข no no, my friends had a series of bellyache after eating the food, worse they tried to pass of tang (if your a local yaadie you know it) as fruit punch blended drink ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿพ. The pool was okay, services could use some improvement.
