It’s hard to believe this place has high ratings. The meat was TERRIBLE, it was very bland and they kept bringing around the same things and they were not coming around enough, not that it mattered because the meat was not good at all. I took a bite of each meat served, and none of them were worth a second bite. The garlic mashed potatoes were just ok and I had to use those to choke down the meat because there were no throw away napkins to spit it out in. The salad bar was decent. The best part of whole meal was the slice of chocolate mousse cake they gave me complementary for my Bday. Total waste of time and $150. I would’ve enjoyed a cheaper meal elsewhere. At least I can say I tried them, but I definitely will not be back.

This is a place we only visit on special occasions but always a favorite when visiting Birmingham! Would suggest you do not each much the day of your visit since there is so much food to eat at this restaurant! Delicious salad and soup bar, especially the Lobster Bisque! Of course, you come here for all of the amazing fire-roasted meats served by very friendly and accommodating gauchos! It may seem expensive but it is a fixed price a ton of high quality food and a fun atmosphere that is well worth the price you pay!

I had a good experience here. Lots of meat choices, and I’m a steak person. Service was great and atmosphere was very intimate. The salad bar is stocked with lots of options such as cheeses and soups. The meats were fresh and tasty. I think the most flavorful meat that I had was the spicy sirloin. This place is kinda expensive but for special occasions I would definitely go back.

Made reservations for my wife's birthday. We arrived an hour and a half early do to coming in from 90 miles away. We were seated early which we really appreciated. Food was absolutely wonderful, including the salad bar. Our waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed by the number of tables that he had but kept pace nicely. The gachos seemed a bit slow coming from the kitchen with meat offerings, but when they did, the meats were delicious. I was a little disappointed my wife did not get the birthday treatment, but I understand that the waiter was a little busy. All in all a great experience.

I stopped in for a quick lunch on my bday. Someone had told me about how tasty the a la carte lamb chops were and I wanted to taste them for myself. My server, Austin, was fantastic and told me about the restaurant and its origins. I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch.

The one star, is because we had a reservation and were seated right away. Thanks for that! Things basically, went downhill from there. We had to get assistance from the manager and our waiter twice bcz we waited at least 15-20 minutes, Multiple Times, before any meat was brought to our table. Even our waiter noticed it and apologized multiple times, but this didn't help. He thought that maybe it was the position of our table, but I pointed out that they walked by with meat, looked at our green sign, passed right by and kept going to the same tables each time. That's not a position problem. That's something else. Having been to multiple, exquisite Brazilian steak houses across the country, this place definitely, does not compare. This was by far, the worse for flavor, options and service. Our waiter was fine, but when we first arrived, there were no clean plates out, so I knew there would be some issues. Unfortunately, there were more than we could have imagined. Our waiter at least tried to get them to give me a free dessert, but since EVERYTHING they have is made with nuts, even that was a hard NO. Oh well, I enjoyed spending my Mother's Day with my son, but as far as the restaurant, we won't be returning.

Took my wife here for our anniversary and she loved it. The Birmingham location was very friendly, clean, and a great atmosphere. For the price it was well worth the quality you get. Next time I need to get a picture of the the skewers. They did give us a Happy Anniversary surprise which made it more special!

Where do I start? The salad bar was lack-luster : didn’t have orange cheese and the bacon thing was empty… slow as molasses bringing meat to the table - the filet mignon could literally be eaten in one bite “well, it’s all you can eat “ you say - well it does matter when they come to your table every 25 minutes…. Also it was hot in there - the lady said their air conditioning was out…. It was so dark in there, you literally couldn’t see your plate and we had to ask the girl to turn the lights on… it’s pretty bad when you have to beg for the meat guy to come around…

What an experience! The meat is incredible and I never once felt overstuffed from the meal. The salad bar is phenomenal in both selection and freshness and the cocktails are divine. The real heroes here, however, are the manager and staff we had. Vivian (manager) sat us as they were a bit short staffed and was friendly and engaging. Amanda (our server) was also a delight and really put in such an effort. Despite being short staffed we never felt like we were waiting on a server. If I could give more than 5 stars I absolutely would.

I would like to begin by stating I have been to several outlets of this restaurant chain and I have NEVER received this treatment. My party made a reservation. They would not seat us until the entire party was there. We communicated that one member of our party (and her children) were outside. We were then rudely told “They had better be in here in 5 minutes or we have to give your table away.” Nothing about the exchange between the hostess and our party was amiable in ANY way. She was blatantly rude and disrespectful. After that encounter and the reason I’m giving two stars at all. The food was amazing and the gauchos did an AMAZING job keeping meat in circulation. Our waitress was extremely attentive and my only qualm with her is that she referred to me as ‘sweetie’. I have been blessed with the appearance of a 20 year old. I am not. I am 45 and rather than be rude about it I’d mention it so that anyone who does choose to go here realize it’s not intentional. Overall after that harrowing experience with the hostess the service was fine. To anyone considering going here realize you will not be greeted with smiles at the door but unpleasant attitude that you’d expect from somewhere such as McDonalds.

I was not impressed. Maybe my expectations were too high, but it certainly didn't come close to living up to the hype. It took a while to get sevice, and the service was ok, nothing great, but not bad. The salad bar was ok, nothing special, and the hot items were mediocre at best. We were there for a while before we offered any of the meat selections, which I assume is a tactic to get you full on the salad bar, but that's pretty standard industry practice. There were plenty meat selections to try, but nothing stood as as being cooked exceptionally well. The experience was interesting, and that was fun, but the food wasn't good enough that I would want to go back.

What a lunch!! We reserved lunch on a Friday for my cousin's birthday celebration and man oh man what a lunch it was. It was my first time here, and Justin, our server, was amazing (it was his first day) and the entourage or meats and salads with soups and sauces omgoodness!! DELicious!!! Everything we tried was good, from the smoked salmon to the garlic rib eye!! Excellent!! I recommend going on lunch as you get the same experience and dining for half the price!!

Enjoyed a feast for Christmas Eve with the family. What better place to take two teenage boys than Texas de Brazil. The salad bar was good, lobster bisque also good, but its all about the meats. The Brazilian beef cooked med-rare was the bomb. I will tell you, bring your appetite and your wallet. This will cost you a few bills.

We came today for my birthday. It was a 3 hour drive and I couldn't have been more satisfied. Definitely worth the drive. The entire place was bustling as it was a Friday, and all the staff were still cool and collected. Our server, Kayla, was incredibly and helped me find a drink that was exactly what I wanted. The food bar had some amazing cheese options and the cheese bread was delicious. All of the meat we had was perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked, and mouth wateringly tender. We had to wait a bit for our check, but it was very busy so we weren't upset. Dessert was wonderful and all the staff were so incredibly kind. Thank you for giving me the best birthday I've had!

PERFECTION! This restaurant was great from the start to the check. Top notch service, the food was phenomenal, and the establishment was clean. It cost a little more than average, but you get above average service and food. No complaints. A+ 10/10

When we first sat down the waitress asked us “sparkling or still?” and we said we wanted still water. We were not given the option for “pitcher” nor made aware the still water we chose would be brought in bottles for $7.50 each. We realized after we paid that we were the only table in the restaurant getting bottled water when we were under the impression that it was the only option. We brought this up to the manager and she offered her “sincerest apologies” but didn’t offer to refund the $30 we spent on water alone. We think that the waitress didn’t give us the option for pitcher water because she didn’t want to keep refilling our water and this was more convenient for her. This was conniving and not appreciated.

We have eaten here at least a dozen times in the five years we have been in Birmingham and it's a family favorite for celebrating milestones & birthdays. The staff is always so nice, and professional. I've worked everywhere but the kitchen line in restaurants, and this place impresses me every time still! It's popular, especially around holidays, for this very reason so make sure to reserve a table ahead of time. Between my daughter and I we have tried nearly everything that comes around, and there is not one single thing that both of us wouldn't have again.

Got a gift card from a friend as a gift. Took my wife for a late valentines celebration. Food is very good. Service was good. Wasn’t crowded at all. We went for lunch so that we could get it for half price. Glad we did, it’s all you can eat but I don’t see myself eating $50 worth of food in one sitting. As you can tell I’m kinda cheap. I’m only taking a star off because of the price and it’s not really my style. I’m more of a chicken sandwich or BBQ kinda guy. I’m sure this place is exactly what some people are looking for. Plus you could easily make a meal just from the salad bar and not get any of the meats they bring around and serve to you.

Love this place only problem when making a pick up order they should inform you before you order that it takes 30 plus minutes for your food. I preordered the Christmas meal for 4-6 people and it was ready on time. But I love the food so much so I ordered lunch for me after taking my order and then getting my Christmas order they then tell me it’s going to take an additional 30 plus minutes for my other food I just feel the young lady should have said that before the order I have to drop my food off and then get ready for work now in less than one hour. So with that being said this place is great but if you think order to go be prepared to wait it’s worth it but make sure you have time to wait.

Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, friendly service. Definitely worth the money. Only downside was the food was slow coming in the beginning because there was a larger group that was seated next to the kitchen so most of the meat didn't make it too far. But once the meat started making it further, it was great. If you haven't been to a Brazilian steakhouse, it's definitely something worth experiencing at least once. And a thank you to our server, Marcus, that made our experience pleasant.

Great food! We couldn't stop talking about how great we felt after eating from here! Everything is fresh and meat is so tender you won't believe it's a buffet but well worth the time and money. Come very hungry Another thing is that you have to walk in in order to get a reservation quick. If you call in to make a reservation they will give you a couple hours or more of waiting time

The food was good and the service was very good. I came with a group of 10. We were seated pretty quickly. I was glad to see the salad bar was back. I most enjoyed the bacon wrapped chicken and the plantains but it was all good. The beef was excellent and the pork was very good.

Apparently you cannot use a gift card and the first responders discount together. This was very disappointing. The smoked salmon on the salad bar is amazing, it's the best thing they have.

This location is going through maintenance at the time (air conditioner) but is still maintaining the utmost best service they can. Some PEOPLE will understand and some won't. First time visiting. Was a little unsure of how to order. Hit the salad bar for awesome choices - salad, sides, and soups. Then the meat will begin to arrive at your table, and lots of it. Dessert selection was great.

The absolute best service I've ever had at any restaurant. The food was amazingly delicious. Everything was fresh on the salad bar. Every cut of meat was perfectly seasoned. Our servers were friendly and went above and beyond expectations. The whole experience was simply exceptional.

Loved the experience. Very different dining with the varied meat options. Most impressive to me was the hot and cold bars. Fantastic salads, charcuterie, and lobsters bisque. Besting for me was the shrimp salad and Tabbouleh salad. Meats were just ok as far as taste and quality so plan to go for quantity over quantity here. Atmosphere is wonderful and they are well staffed. Overall very enjoyable experience and worth the money.

Oh my goodness, the manager was so informative. The bacon-wrapped chicken, filet minon, parmesean crusted pork chops, beef ribs, pork ribs, Brazille Sausage, were excellent consistently. Very clean, beautiful establishment that brings around as much meat as you want, and the price ($50) per person, makes this place a MUST return!!! Go there! Run!! You won't want to leave!

We went there about 9: 40, got it got seated. Our waitress was very precise, helpful. The guys brought around the meat on the skewers they was it was okay. The entrees could have been more improving lacking flavor and presentation.

As a to go/ delivery order…. It was near perfect! So many well seasoned meats that were cooked perfectly!…. Except the filet. The only reason I cannot leave a 5/5 is the Filet was asked for medium rare and some pieces were medium well and others rare. A little home cooking fixed the undercooked pieces but the OVER cooked pieces could not be made better. The sides were Devine. Fresh ingredients with wonderful flavors! The cheese bread is addictive, I should have ordered more!! The Chimichurri is such a nice touch and addition to the order and truly complements every cut of meat. Having dined in multiple times with a less perfect and enjoyable experience, the delivered order was wonderful! Worth the prices for the quality and portion size

I made reservations for my mom and her husband for their anniversary dinner, they got there at 8 their reservation was at 8:15, it was 9:30 and they still haven’t been sat. Why do we make reservations if they will not be honored? Why would I go to extreme lengths to have my mother and her husband come to this restaurant and not get the service that is expected? Highly disappointed and probably will not return.

First time eating here for Valentines and my Birthday celebration. After getting my salad from the salad bar I sat down to eat and it had a crawling bug in it! 🤮 Management offered 10% off and made excuses on why there should not be a bug in my salad. I lost my appetite after that. I told the manager that 10% was a joke and that as much as this place cost to eat here, I won’t be coming back. The waitress was in tears, she couldn’t say sorry enough. We tipped her well and told her it wasn’t her fault.

For the Price, Quality of originality of over all bar appeal adding up to the drink mendue options and the inexperienced management, for a Holiday treat or Celebration in General, one would be better off choosing a more adept over all experience when wishing to have and enjoy an ideal Brazilian steak House engagement. If you've ever had the pleasure of experiencing Genuine Brazilian steak house, then chances are, you've probably already built a complex around what to traditionally expect. Being this is the only one in this area of the state, its extremely unfortunate that like a parent can be to child, the management sets the serving staff up to fail when its truly not their fault due to their Leaders Lack of Initiative and first hand General integrity as Hospitality Leaders. Sadly, its an over priced experience that I would not be willing to attempt a second time around.

Very disappointed with the service to say the least. The Salad bar is now self-serve when just two months ago you were only allowed to have salads prepared by the staff and brought to you. This change in allowing anyone to go to the salad bar and expect for them to properly put on hand sanitizer and keep their mask on during a complete service and not cross contaminate with Covid is very dis-concerning. Management I.E. Patrick explained this is how we’re doing it now and this is the following CDC guidelines. He waited until my wife got upset to then offer to have meats and or items prepared in the back for her specially. My wife suffers from stage four cancer which she explain to him when he came to the table and he still lead with this is the way we are doing things. The previous management would have made this right the very first time this is my worst experience and I’ve been coming to this restaurant since it open. Unfortunately I do not think that until COVID-19 it is over or they change their policy me or my wife will no longer dine at this location. On average we spend at least $125 every time we come not including tip. I hope the management takes this review seriously and makes the appropriate changes. Happy Thanksgiving.
