A wonderful park, always clean and tidy. The wild flower garden is beautiful and a great place to sit and relax. It's a shame that the museum and café no longer open though. Toilet facilities are available but not always open and parking can be a problem at busy times. Wheelchair friendly

We often walk around this park but I wouldn't walk alone. We love the duck pond but sadly it needs to be cleaned as it's attracting lots of rats which are very active and able to be seen during the day near the rockery on the far side of the pond. Real pity as I know it is a real hub for families in the area. Would love to see the council invest a bit of money to clean it up for the community

Been visiting this park since childhood and still enjoy relaxing walks with our dogs there. Plenty of room for children and dogs to run about There's an outdoor gym, tennis courts, 2 children's playground and a walled enclosed garden which is kept up to by volunteers. There's also a lake to walk round. There used to be a cafe but sadly now closed, hopefully it will open again sometime.

Nice little local walk. Plenty to do, theres a playground for the kids, work out equipment, football nets, tennis courts, rugby pitch, a duck pond etc. Ice cream van usually attends when the weather is nice. Plenty of the walk can be shaded by trees to get out of the sun. Parking on site.

Our local park is well enjoyed by all ages. Its just a pity, though, that the older children's playground is kept locked and unused for most of the year!

Lovely well maintained park with colourful flower beds all year round. Disappointed the cafe never reopened though as nowhere to sit with a cuppa .

Had a lovely walk through here whilst travelling through the town. What a beautiful spot...particularly the flower garden. So many plants and really well cared for. Well worth a visit.

It's a local fave for us and our dog. I do wish the cafe was still open though. We love the walled garden area and our dog loves getting cuddles from the gardeners in there. They're always so welcoming, chatty and offer cuddles to my dog. The lake could be better and would love to see a bit more going on there. It's a lovely park really and I do think it's capable of so much more. Dewsbury deserves a well functioning park with lots to offer, and I do think it's capable of being a 5 star park.

This is a great Park. It's a decent size with a full play park for the kids. Excersise equipment, tennis court, basket ball court,a small football field and concrete football 5 a side. It also has a full size football pitch/ rugby pitch! There is a wild flower garden, a massive duck pond and on Saturdays there is a free adventure playground for kids with indoor facilities. There is decent parking spaces and there is a bus that pulls up directly outside. This is my favorite Park to take my son to!!

Took the family here for an hour or two to ride their bikes around the park in comfort and safely. Really pleasant visit as I haven't been for a few years. Had a nice, friendly chat with one or two of the Council Staff having their lunch outside, who came to sit near me on other nearby benches. I even spotted a Police lady walking around upon arrival. Lovely place to sit and have a brew and watch the world go by.

A nice park for walking and for the family with children, a good variety of playing equipment in the children's play area and outdoor exercise equipment nearby for adults too. Overall a good place to visit for people both young and old. I didn't give it full 5 stars as there were no toilets. I was there for a good hour and more but had to leave as I needed the toilet. The main building looks closed all the time with floodlights at the front ON during daylight hours. One other thing I noticed was there were many rats running around which did put me off a little. I didn't see any pest control measures around the park and it will help control the rat population if the council did put some bait stations in.

In terms of parks it’s pretty good, there’s an outdoor gym, two playgrounds and plenty to do, could easily spend half a day here

I drive past this park weekly. It was a nice sunny spring day so we decided to go for a stroll and check out the park with our infant. Surprisingly it is quite big. Theres a large fenced of children's area, although dated it was enough to keep our son preoccupied. Tucked away was the parks pond. It was really clean and well kept! You could see through the the water! It had quaint huts to sit in, which was very charming to look at, but they had lots of liter such as beer cans, so not so inviting to sit inside On the whole I was very impressed. I think there was more to explore but we had to get off. We will certainly be coming to this park more often. Come and you you too maybe surprised.

On a whole it is a nice place to for an afternoon out. The playground needs a lot of work and repairs. A lot of it is quite dangerous. There's a large pond with ducks. The park has a lot of open spaces. It also have tennis courts and foot ball courts. There is a cafe and a museum but they are rarely open. There is an adventure play ground behind the museum which hosts children activity clubs for children age 8 to 12 and 13 plus on Thursday and Friday evening's.

Me and my granddaughters enjoyed being there. Nice .play area for kid's and grownups. Even had a free outdoor gym .but sadly the picture of the lake. Does not. Show .how many rats we're around it .never seen so many. Big let down from my younger years....be careful...

The park in itself is beautiful. A lovely place for short walks. Some beautiful flowers and things to see. However, the park is home to MANY rats and big groups of them that tend come out in the day time. Frightening for young children. Do NOT feed the ducks as this is where they congregate and tend to eat the food left for the ducks.

It's a lovely park but has had its fair share of neglect, it could be beautiful but there's a lack of work on the pond and some surrounding areas need doing. Apparently there is a small team for that exact job but you never see them but yet they are paid year round? Hmm.

👍👍 A great day out, plenty to explore loads of great scenery to view throughout the park. Would strongly advise that correct footwear is worn like wellies or walking shoes/boots. As in some areas, it can get rather muddy, I'm yet to fully explore this amazing park, but what I have explored so far has s...
