Same building, new restaurant! Kapari is a delightful discovery. The inside of the restaurant is freshly decorated. The menu is a revelation: an excellent choice of dishes, chosen with love and served with flair. The service was attentive and effective; we were made very welcome. The food is delicious. There are not many good restaurants in the centre of Chania, so this stands out as an excellent spot to eat, a short stroll from the main 1866 Square (plateia), along from the Samaria hotel and bus station. We will definitely visit again for amazing salads, cod and chips and more!

Modern, friendly and clean, this restaurant is off the beaten track of Chania and is well worth visiting. The menu is small but all the dishes are well taken care of regarding portions, cooking times and ingredients. We really enjoyed all dishes we ordered, unfortunately the had run out of stuffed wine leaves that have a twist from the traditional recipe and we really wanted to try them. We ordered the grilled calamary and lamb chops, fried feta cheese and grilled liver which were all very tasty. We would visit again!

The food was delicious and the portions huge. We got a plate full of complimentary bread, olives and very tasty spread made of lentils on arrival. After meal, raki and a chocolate cake. The prices were reasonable, we paid less than 80 euros for the food, wine and drinks for five people. We couldn't finish it as there was plenty. Well worth coming!

Incredible food! Get the salad with the caramelized pears and pomegranate seeds….so good for any palate! The lamb chops were plentiful and excellent. Dessert and Raikki are complimentary. Fantastic place! Great for family!

Another a bit hidden gastro-gem 💎 in Chania. Visited it by the recommendation and it was really great choice! The starter was on the house and it very good one, then Cretan salad, which also contained capers - it was very interesting (perhaps that's the point about restaurant name). Grilled squids and lamb chops were super awesome and we were convinced to try a cheesecake which promised to be the best in our life)) and Yes, it was really the best one!!! Never tried better before. Service was excellent 👌. Nothing else to add, just another awesome discovery in Crete! 👍

WOW! Amazing place to eat. Food was incredible, so tasty and such good quality. We had free bread, Mayo with vegetables and olives brought to us immediately upon arrival. Followed by the delicious pork dish and cod dish (with the best chips I have ever eaten). The air kiss chocolate dessert was to die for and all homemade! Finished off with some free raki and sweet wine. This place is well worth a visit and amazing value for money. Cheap wine which was good quality and tasted amazing. The staff were so attentive and friendly. Don’t miss this place on your visit to Crete! We will definitely be returning.

Let me start saying that the service was outstanding, way better than a 5 stars dining restaurant and I am not exaggerating. Servers were absolutely professional and polite towards us. Food was so delicious and big portions which is always good to be full at the end of the meal rather than feel empty. Highly recommended.

Fried cheese with tomato marmalade- Awesome! Service was very friendly and fast. Food was very good! Good prices- a little bit less than in the old city, where more tourists are. First restaurant who ask if it’s okay to bring a water bottle without ordering. 👌 They serve small ice cream without charging as dessert.

Great service and sensational staff. The waiter who served us is a perfect fit for this place. Full professionalism. Delicious Greek salad, vegetables fresh, and portions really large. Beans in tomatoes, feta with tomato marmalade and chicken in mustard sauce - sensational.

This place has the high rating for a reason! Amazing food, service and quality of ingredients is clear when the food comes out. The tomato salad was unbelievable. Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs, huge portions. Highly recommend. Service is the best I’ve ever received in Crete.

We went once, and the food was amazing 👏 than we went again on our last day of holiday to try the grilled calamari and fish. The service is a bit slower than what we are used to (we thought they forgot about us at some point😅) but the stuff is very friendly and welcoming. We also enjoyed the dessert on the house. Great place to dine and great prices too, compared with other places in the city center

Amazing restaurant away from the tourist hot spots by the bay. The food is up there with best we have had in 4 times in Crete , up there with Gramvousa. Baby zucchini’s , fried feta , pastas and OMG the pork fillet with sun dried tomato and cretan cheese . And service is what you get customed in crete, warm and welcoming

We came by for lunch and it was great. The Cretan salad and the risotto both were both excellent and huge portions just as the tzatziki and olives 🫒 we got as appetiser. After we finished we got 2 mini ice creams on the house. The service was quick and professional and the price is very reasonable.

We had an amazing meal at this restaurant, they offer a lot of traditional dishes and the portions are massive! House wine is only €2.50 for glass, €5 for 500ml 😱 and it was really tasty! The staff is also very friendly and we got a small free dessert at the end.

This was our first night on crete and i don't know how we will top the food we had tonight. The fried feta was a particular stand out. Michael, our waiter, was so generous and brought us extra items across the night like bread, olives, raki, moscato, and ice cream. Cheese from the zucchini flowers and the cheesecake were locally sourced from the island, too. I can't recommend eating here enough.

The most phenomenal experience, with complimentary starter and dessert. Every part of it was a party in my mouth. My family and I were absolutely blown away!!!

This must have been one of the best hosting experiences I have ever had. The waiter was extremely attentive, friendly and helpful without being obtrusive. The food is simple and delicious, I would recommend everyone to skip the tourist restaurants and opt for this gem instead.

We stopped in for meze early today. Cristos was friendly with a very high level of English. We had the traditional Dakos and chicken pies. That and our drinks were 30€, a bit surprising that far away from the center. The big Alfa was a whopping €5, but 2.50 next door. So four stars out of five, you win some you lose some.

Authentic and non touristy.. very fresh ingredients. Calamari was fantastic.. Mushrooms very juicy.. They also gave free bruschetta and surprise pastry dessert.. Recommended by the locals and it was the best dinner I had in Chania...

Hands down the best meal we had whilst in Crete. The food was so fresh and delicious and the staff were so welcoming and friendly! Can't fault it at all. It's set back from the tourist traps of the harbour and worth the short walk. Wine (we had the house white) and food was all fantastic.
