The pancacks here were amazing. Eggs and sausages were perfectly cooked too. Unassuming shop with great food and service. One of the best meals we had on our 2 week tour around Europe (and that includes beating 1-2 Michelin star restaurants)

I would not recommend this restaurant!! Myself and 3 friends arrived for some pancakes as this place had great reviews and looked good in the pictures. We got there and had to ask the male staff that was working there if we could sit outside which he muttered "yes" in response. We then sat for over 10 minutes waiting for a menu, and saw him watch us from inside the restaurant. I decided to go in and ask if we could order inside to which he also muttered "yes". I stared to order pancakes with a coffee and not once did the worker confirm he was taking my order or even listening to me. He had the rudest look on his face. I had to ask the questions as he was just standing there with a dead stare at me. I tried to pay with card but they only take cash he said, but again, in the rudest possible way. We turned around and left. They did not deserve our business here. For what looks like a great restaurant, it is actually the complete opposite. It's dark and dreary to be completely honest, and with a name like "Mr. Pancake" you would expect a bright and friendly space suitable for children and families, but again, this was the complete opposite. We ended up going to another cafe called the California Bean, where we were greeted with the friendliest and most accommodating staff, great food and drinks, and a warm and welcoming environment. The real 'Ms. Pancake'.

Found Mr. Pancake after doing an Internet search for potato pancakes, which showed Mr. Pancake having a photo of potato pancakes. Unfortunately, when we sat down, we found they didn’t have potato pancakes. What we did find was amazing American style pancakes. They were really, really, really good. I read some reviews here and some said the pancakes were not very sweet and others said they were too sweet. I ate the pancakes without the maple syrup (didn’t really taste like maple syrup) and the pancakes are barely sweet. I’m sure there’s a bit of sugar in the batter to help them brown when cooking. Those who said they were too sweet likely had sweet toppings on their pancakes (banana with Nutella, cherry with vanilla sauce, etc. or used their entire cup of syrup). Some people wrote negative comments about the service. We found that not to be the case. Service was prompt and friendly. The place is small and can get quite busy. I suspect the people who said they had bad service were likely very negative people to begin with. Coffee was very good.

Small restaurant that serves pancakes the whole day. They do the American style and the pancakes texture is insanely good, perfect for my taste. I had the Mr. Bacon and freshly squeezed orange juice. It gets really busy. It’s good to try and reserve a table. They also accept cards as payments option.

Very fluffy pancakes that are made upon order. Highly recommended if you have cravings for pancakes. Portion is huge and value for money.

I found this place accidentally. A rather small restaurant serving nice and delicious pancakes. The taste of the pancakes is not to sweet and they are fluffy. I took the Mr Bacon 🥓 pancakes. Nothing to say here. The bacon was crispy. I also ordered a cappuccino with oat milk. Taste is not barista but acceptable. I like the concept and the size of the restaurant. 6-7 tables inside and a industrial look. Cool 😎! I hope to find the chance to come back.

Delicious pancakes cooked fresh American style. The sausage is really tender and light. Nice vibe with chill music and good service

The pancake tastes okay, but too sweet. The dining environment is terrible. Everything is overpriced: a cup of orange juice costs 5 Euro and a plate of blueberry pancake costs 10.99 Euro if I remember correctly.

Pancakes were good soft, size was also ok not that thick not too big. You need to go inside to order. place is not that big but also look good inside.

Lucky find thanks to a website link at Bored in Munich and boy what luck. Amazing pancakes, light and fluffy, sausage slices were soft on the inside, crispy on the outside, bacon crispy, eggs runny, blueberries fresh, tea hot, sprite cold. Order where it says 'Order here' at the till or you'll be left waiting!

The pancakes were amazing, but unfortunately the coffee machine wasn’t working when we were there. Only cash payments! Small but cozy atmosphere.

Looked for an American breakfast, and found it here. Americans: The sausage is nothing like we are used to (see picture). The bacon is perfect. Our plates came out roughly 10 minutes apart for our party of three.

Mr blueberry is my favorite one , the sweetness in the pancakes is so balanced and if you want you can add more maple syrup as per your taste. Prices are optimal as well😊

It is a nice place for breakfast in Munich, i liked their service and the pancake is really good. I totally recommend it.

It went to this place twice this year. The first time, everything was fine and well organised, the pancakes were delicious and prepared fast. However, the second time I went there I had to wait for more than one hour for my pancakes!!! In addition, the bacons were almost half of the amount they usually serve! I also ordered a drink, but they forgot to bring it. I didn’t remind them as I thought they are going to bring it together with my pancakes. All in all, I was not satisfied with the service and the price was a bit more than it’s worth.

Tasty pancakes. Portions are very big. You can have them as breakfast but not as a dessert unless you are sharing them. Their coffee is good but the mojito wasn’t very good, it wasn’t natural.

I prefer sweet ones🤩 my favorite: mr. Apple 🍎 and mr. Banana 🍌 large portions and really tasty 🤤

One of my favorite places in Munich. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food is always delicious. I find myself enjoying their tasty offerings nearly every week.

Delicious food the pancakes had a crispy outside and soft inside with sugar on top and eggs amazing with crispy tasty bacon I had no complaints with the food. However the service was almost not there I had to call several times just to order food and seems almost bothered when I asked after sitting for 20 min. I would still go back if I was in the area

++ Some of the best pancakes I’ve had in a while. - Service was cold even though I was the only customer. I didn’t feel like they wanted me to be there, definitely didn’t feel welcome. Usually I would give 3 stars because if this but the food was very good, which earns my respect. - It was very warm inside (even in shorts and a tshirt).

The best pancakes ever. We tried the Mr. Bacon option, the pancakes were so fluffy, the eggs were perfectly fried and the bacon was so crunchy and chewy. Small space, sometimes you need to wait a bit to be seated. If you visit Munich, this place is a must.

The food and fresh orange juice were excellent, but the cappuccino was off the mark. Maybe over extracted? Very tannic and bitter. Service was great. The atmosphere was a bit odd to me. Seemed like the aesthetic was just not to my taste. If you like interesting pancakes, this place is great, but I would recommend skipping the coffee. It is also quite small, so it may be full often.

Both the pancakes were made perfectly and they were so filling. The little one truly enjoyed her pancake and even asked for more, which was a delight for us. The Kellnerin is super friendly and was considerate enough to serve us before as we had a toddler with us. Thank you very much for the service. Must recommend. Also Mr, Bacon was the highlight for me.

Delicious pancake, big portion, good price and nice staff but the place is too small so that you have to be careful of your coffee and food all the time.

Tiny but functional. This small place is run by a pair who know pancakes. Less than a dozen options, the menu does everything for you in curated fashion. Some vegetarian options, some classic American, British and one down right Southern levels of meat and sauce. Drinks were also available. You need to be quick if you don't want to wait in line as the place was full when I was there 30 minutes after opening.

Waiting time is extremely long. We were waiting for over an hour for our small order, while there were not too many people. The food is delicious though. Overall: the food + 1h of waiting is not worth 24€.

Food was great! Just a tiny space, so not too many people can eat there and when it's cold the door opens and blasts chilly air right at you. When we were there, it was just one guy. He takes the orders and the pay, and cooks the food and everything. So it's a little slow, not too bad at all, I more just feel bad for him doing it all himself.

Fast service, simple unfussy menu. Pancakes are good. Shame it's one of those "sorry card machine broken, cash only" places.

The lack of cleanliness at this establishment is shocking. In fact, the area in and around where the cooking is performed is downright putrescent. There was a cutting board leaning up against the wall and sitting on the floor covered in black grime and all manner of filth, and dirty pans left on the bottom shelf under the oven uncleaned. Additionally, every single table that I saw was covered in syrup and other dried food and had not been cleaned between customers, and the floor throughout the restaurant from the front door to the back of the kitchen is layered in dust, grime, silt, grease, and God knows what else. The pancakes tasted fine but this is not enough to make up for the unclean and unkempt nature of this restaurant. Someone is going to get very ill from this place eventually. I hope the health department pays them a visit.

Consistently one of my favorite breakfast spots in the city, I bring all my friends here when they visit! Prices are very reasonable, service is nice and friendly, and the quality of the food is great. The place itself is cozy but very small, so get there early or arm yourself with patience to get a table.

We very much enjoyed the American breakfast the place has to offer. Their apple pancakes are good and you should order some to-go for a snack later in the day.

The pancakes here are pretty decent and they actually serve up American style crispy bacon too! Unfortunately whatever they call maple syrup is really more of a sugar syrup with a vague taste of honey more than anything else - which is a strange place to cut corners on given that real maple syrup may be a little more pricey but is absolutely essential to good pancakes. The interior is also rather cramped and the poor ventilation also means you will probably walk out of here smelling like fried food.

Had really good pancakes here just this morning. Would highly recommend the pancakes with banana and Nutella. The apple pancakes with cinnamon were also tasty. Place was cosy but quaint, and the menu didn't have a lot to offer, but it was wonderful all the same, and the server even spoke English, which was nice.

Came here on a weekday morning for breakfast. The place is snug and cosy. Portions were huge. We ordered Mr sausage, Mr Ham and cups of coffee too. It was quiet when we came and later on more tourists arrived and had breakfast. This place seems popular among travelers. The service was good and quick. Pleasant chap waited and served us.

very good pancake excellent ber tasy fluffy and hot served. but the serving time is soooo long we waited more than an hour and it ia a very small place and it smells like fried things too much the smell stuck to our clothes and hair. besides everything the food was perfect.

Went there for brunch. Pancakes were nice and soft. Great for people with a sweet tooth. The space is pretty small however, and the staff we had that day wasn't very polite, but otherwise the food was nice!

The pancakes are amazingly delicious. It really couldn't be tastier. And the portions are generous. Can only recommend I was just a bit tempted to pur 4 start as it could definitely be a bit clearer inside.

True blue pancakes American style! Fluffy, giant portions, and sweet. The bacon needs a special mention as well. I would definitely prefer savoury to sweet but that’s just to your taste. Everything on the menu is good👍🏼

Be prepared for a bunch of sweetness your way. These pancakes are rich and exactly how you would expect them to be prepared. I had the Mr. Banana. Super sweet! Euros only so have it on hand.

Pretty good place. Nice interior and good music. As for food, it was done nicely, the pancakes were really good, the eggs were okay, and bacon was amazing! The reason for 4/5 stars would be that the eggs were a tad cold, but otherwise it was great. Portion sizes are also nice, and ordering Mr. Bacon filled me up! :)

The pancake is super delicious, the place is tiny but cozy, didn’t enjoy the techno music for breakfast though.

I would say this is the best breakfast place compared to the regular bakery places which I find very boring. Nice pancake restaurant. Very small, there are only 10 tables or so, but this is a family-run business. Also small menu mostly focused on the pancakes. The pancakes were delicious!
