Had dinner here on Christmas eve. Most places are closed this day in Munich but thankfully they were open and had a table for our party of six available. Food was amazing and service was very efficient. Ambiance was cozy and nice. We had the Chicken Tikka Masala, Jalfrezi, Butter Chicken, different starters and types of naan. Portions were generous. These plates came with abundant basmati rice. The mango lassies and Mango cream dessert were EXCELLENT! We left a phone there and we were able to retrieve it the next day. Thank you for everything!

Undoubtedly the WORST chicken biryani I have ever had the misfortune of tasting. Never again.

I usually do not write any reviews be it bad or good. But this time i cannot resist. Wish there was an option for negative stars. It's one of the worst Shahi Paneer i have ever tasted in germany. Delivery was on time, but the basic food quality was very horrible. We ordered 4 different dishes from lieferando and all of them were horrrible. It's very understandable if one of them gets screwed or once or twice. We thought it was one time error and tried to order the same dish multiple times but we were surprised to know how can anybody screw up the same dish every single time! Chefs are very talented to cook beautiful Indian dishes in a worst way possible. Not recommended at all!

There are a lot of Indian restaurants in Munich and I have tried most of them and I have to say the Chicken Tikka at this restaurant was the BEST!! The service was good as well! I highly recommend this restaurant.

Samrat is a well located restaurant serving very satisfying food. I love their Lamb dishes, most recently Lamb Karahi. Well done Samrat!! Please maintain this standard and stay consistent.

Food was awesome and a good service 💯 Although it was a closing time,the lady at the counter was very helpful and let us in. Recommended for a lunch.

The food has just an amazing taste and quality! I really don’t understand the negative reviews, where they really come from? We had two delicious meals, I am a true lover of Palak paneer - this one also didn’t disappoint me. The true palak paneer taste was there and all perfectly spiced. Garlic naan was outstanding! Same as Mango Lassi. I can highly recommend this place, has a lot of charm, good food and friendly staff. We will definitely come back.

Service 🤵🏽‍♀️: we have had better and friendlier service at Indian restaurants, but the food was ready very quickly. Atmosphere 🏺: more formal than usual for Indian which is not bad, but we have had more “Indian” in Munich before.

The food tastes really good. The Service is really nice even the waitress brought us drinks after the meal. The atmosphere is cosy and comfortable.

Worst experience ever since I eat food in Germany among all Indian restaurants. Worst food small serving waste of money waste of time . Service was too slow , very expensive according to the taste was worst they made sweet too sweet shahi paneer , worst mix vegetables ever rices was unfreshed .overall not recommended to go to waste your money little serving 35 euros for two less and tasteless food . Such a great place. Good food, service and prices. And the ambience is amazing. Not as noisy as other places.

Service was okay but the food tastes horrible. I’m a South Indian and this is the worst chicken biryani I ever had. It’s not even biryani i felt they have mixed rice into some chicken curry and it’s gravy and it tasted “sweet”. I only had few spoons and left the rest. Like the best part about the biryani was the cucumber salad. Highly disappointed However staff was friendly and understanding she tried to spice my food by providing some extra sauce and pickle but it didn’t help much ( but I appreciate her effort). Also the biryani was 13,9 euro but they charged me only 8 euro because I barely had few spoons as it’s tasted very bad. Don’t know about the rest of the dishes but I can only talk for chicken biryani. Please don’t go for it.

Has a very good selection on the menu but a case of quantity over quality unfortunately. We had the Samosas to start and the pastry was quite soggy. I had the chicken curry for the main and while the sauce was nice, the chicken was borderline inedible. The service was great there though but there are better options for food around the area.

Great vegan and vegetarian dishes. Also loved the Butter naan. Definitely recommend for home delivery!

Ordered chicken Tikka masala and tandoori. What i got is definitely not what I ordered. Chicken tandoori was marinated but 200% not used tandoor for cooking. They just baked it in oven and its raw meat. Chicken tikka is just boiled chicken..! Worst experience. Carelessness is ok but they should atleast deliver quality for the pricing..!

Very nice food and friendly owners. They are always open to customer feedback and improvements. Also, they customise food according to your taste. Kadhai paneer and dal makahni are really good, however breads can be a bit thinner. Highly recommended!

--Blacklist--- Misery of Munich - Don't punish yourself by eating here. Avoid this place at all costs. I'm surprised how heartless they are, serving something which nobody in this world would eat. Shahi paneer with sugar, chicken/lamb gravies tasting so bad without any taste - just bland with chilli powder. Don't trust Lieferando ratings where I got fooled.

We would rate this place with 3,5 stars. We ordered and they delivered in the time frame they said it would be delivered. Delivery guy was super nice. The food itself is very decent. Big portion of naan. The butter chicken was good. We did not enjoy the appetizer too much but it was ok. All in all it’s a decent place to order from.

The interior is nice and cosy, just what you would expect from an Indian place in Munich. The servant was decent and friendly and remembered our orders by heart. She noticed our empty rice bowl before we had to ask for more. Food took quite long, about 40 min after we came in. I was a little surprised by the Chicken Tikka Masala which was not the way we are used to from other Indian places (the chicken was the yellow one). This didn't bother us though as it tasted nice. :-) All in all I would give four stars for the experience, one is lost by the waiting. If you don't mind that you can definitely give it a go!

Not recommended. We ordered dahi ghosht and chicken tikka masala. Both of them were bad. Lamb was very very hard and tasted as if they threw the lamb into the sauce just before delivering it instead of cooking with the sauce together. Chicken masala didn't taste much either.

This restaurant offers the best Indian food in Germany but make sure you don’t get one particular waitress. This waitress appeared to be drunk while working and had an attitude. This women had the audacity to charge us the wrong amount and then proceeds to get mad and start pointing fingers at my face being really rude. If you go to this place make sure you pay attention to your receipt. If I was the owner of this restaurant I will kick this waitress, the place is fantastic but except the customer service of this particular women.

Our recent takeout (via Lieferando) experience was far from satisfactory. To my dismay, I found hairs in the food upon opening one of the containers. The lack of attention to cleanliness is unacceptable, and despite reporting the issue, the response from the staff was underwhelming. This experience has left me with serious doubts about the hygiene standards of the restaurant, and I cannot recommend it based on this unfortunate incident. I'll not come back and I do not recomend people to order from here.
