Nice Persian restaurant with a few booths like group seats. Was the perfect choice for a work lunch with 7 people. Prices very reasonable, especially with the lunch specials. Recommend #61 and #62 on the menu. Would come back if craving Persian at work again

I loved the food here. The lamb meat was extremely tender and delicious. Falafel were too crispy and fresh. The prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly and attentive. Always ready to visit again .

Update (06.11.22): Unfortunately, this time it was worse. I ordered the same dish, and lam tasted really bad, like it touched burned plastic. I told that to servants and even tho was promised that it will be better next time, I would have expected at least a desert as a compliment, or not counting that dish to my receipt. Disappointed, but hopefully if I come next time, it will be better. October, 2022: Really liked it here! The food is awesome, enjoyed the way meat is prepared, it’s very similar to what I am used to in Crimea. I will probably come again :) The only negative for me was coffee, I expected Iranian traditional coffee to be served in a special way, however, those expectations were not met - so you can definitely improve on that :)

I loved this place, the restaurant is very cozy and their food is super delicious. Their mixed appetizers plate was so good and we ordered the menus item: 72, 73 and 75 they were all very delicious

It used to be a great restaurant with tip top food quality, and careful consideration for order notes, but my last couple of orders from them over the span of a month went wrong in several ways, once I got an old dry reheated fish, and a couple of times I got the wrong side dish, not to mention the old soggy salad. Although it's still the most expensive persian restaurant in the area, it no longer hold the quality up to the price and therefore, I no longer recommend it.

Overall a really cozy but cultural atmosphere - ideal for group visits with either friends or families. Fair prices, delicious food & friendly staff. I would recommend this place for anyone who is either curious about Persian cuisine or already familiar with their delicious varieties.

It is my second time in this restaurant with 1 year break and in both visits it was great. Service is good and they have a lot of sitting spaces outside and inside. We have tried pumpkin meze, chicken skewers with pomegranate sauce, beef skewers and lamb shanks. Everything was yummy. They also have homemade basil-lemon lemonade which is also very good. It is must try restaurant in Munich in my opinion.

Ich bin schon 100 mal dort vorbei und habe mir immer gedacht (typisch Vorurteile), Restaurants in Hauptbahnhof Nähe zu meiden. Zu mal dort mehrere Läden sind die nicht unbedingt einladend aussehen. Durch Zufall hat ein Freund im Restaurant reserviert und wir sind essen gegangen. Ich muss sagen Gott sei dank waren wir da! Das Essen war Wahnsinn, mir hat es unglaublich gut geschmeckt der Service war top, mega nett und super schnell. 5 Sterne verdient! Kann es nur empfehlen. Ich komme wieder!

It's a nice place to try persian cuisine. Though the cuisine is highly meat based they do have a few vegetarian options. I tried number 75 and it was pretty good . The falafel I would say tastes very good and are a must try. The prices are very affordable and service is also super friendly. A reservation is a must otherwise the waiting time goes upto 15- 30 mins.

The taste of the food was very good. I ordered the dish with pumpkin, plums and rice as side dish. The orange skin on the rice makes it taste very good. Maybe more grilled vegetables with the dish Nr. 55 would be good, especially if someone doesn’t like onions.

If you love Persian food, this is a place to be. The restaurant is super cozy, great for family and friends. The food is just too delicious and you will feel like tasting everything. We had the Aubergine dip for starter and it was one of the best I have ever tasted. We both had the Kebaps but next time I want to have the biriyani. One suggestion: please book in advance. There is public parking nearby or you take the tram.

Simple but tasty food. Try the dishes with pomegranate sauce for a nice combination of flavors. First experience in a Persian restaurant, and I gotta say I liked it. We didn’t exactly know what to expect, so it took us a while to decide what to order. Since we couldn’t choose an appetizer, we went with a mixed plate which contained a small sample of different ones. Falafel, different spreads, and stuffed vine leaves (delicious) with some naan. They were all quite good, but the hummus and eggplant spread both deserve special praise. The dishes are mostly meat based, with skewers and rice dishes available. I do remember seeing some vegan options too. I had lamb with lentils and rice, Girlfriend had falafel, and Friend had the best dish of the all, lamb with pomegranate sauce and barberry rice. In hindsight we should’ve all ordered that, because it was delicious. Very nice combination of sweet, sour and rich. Rice was fluffy and not sticky. Dessert presented the same decision problem as appetizers, and we got the mixed platter. None were very sweet, which we liked. The saffron ice cream was refreshing but Friend thought it was a little weird. The cardamom pudding tasted a little funny, not sure what to make of it. My only regret is not getting a dish with pomegranate sauce. Other than that I was happy with my experience here.

What a great place to eat some persian food! It was by far one of the greatest discoveries here in Munich! The service is great and the place is always full! Booking recommended! Portions are very good! Amazing!

I wanted to express my appreciation for the service I received at Shandiz restaurant. Overall, I had a positive experience dining there. However, I would like to provide some feedback regarding the Kebab Tikka dish I ordered. Based on the description in the menu, I had assumed that tender kebab would be served. Unfortunately, the dish I received was something different. I was specifically hoping for tender minced meat kebab tikkis (similar to shami kebabs). On a more positive note, I would like to highlight the excellent service provided by the staff. They were prompt and the ambience of the restaurant was lovely.

Wife had the lamb shank. I got the chicken dish. The chicken was a bit too dry for my taste pallet (i’m not an Arab, so don’t rely on my judgement too much). But the lamb was really good. Definitely recommended. The price may seem a bit higher than usual but the ambiance was great. Was not a big fan of the desserts we tried. But then again, try for yourself. Maybe you won’t be disappointed.

Food was delicious but the portion is too small for the given price. Service was friendly, would give 5 stars for service if the food came a bit faster. The place has a unique atmosphere but seats were a little bit cramped. Toilet was clean.

I had Gheimeh bademjoon as a meal and Falude shirazi as dessert. Especially dessert was interesting since it had rosewater sorbet and lime juice; it was a taste i have never tried before. Food was ok but i would try sth else next time. Service and atmosphere were good overall.

Totally the meal was fine but the rice was not typical iranian rice which was a bit disappointing for me. They were not respectful and My experience was not good, I ask them to plug in my charger to charge my phone as I needed it but when I went to get my phone I saw they are charging their own phone with my charger and didn’t care about my phone. Two stars in the best situation.

We came here with our Brazilian friends. We found Morteza he was helping us to choose the best food (considering the price also for us :)) ) just ask for Morteza if you enter to Shandiz! The place itself is very good, lots of Iranian dishes and Kebab Barg, Kebab Jooje and etc. see the attached pictures. It's dog friendly restaurant! Taste Iranian tea also, just ask Morteza!

The food was amazing, in quality and taste both. The manager was super friendly and even though the restaurant was full, he still tried to arrange a table for us. The staff were also super nice. Definitely recommend this place if you wanna have a good Persian food.

The food was beyond expectation.. the lamb shank was bigger than expected.. the rice proportion looks less but it is just enough for one person per dish,, some men might need extra rice.. the lamb was also quite good in taste.. the dessert was underwhelming though.. we ordered for ferni,, it's supposed to be rice pudding but Persian version,. I was actually excited for the dish to have a touch of saffron in it as it said on the menu,, but it was basically a vanilla Panna Cotta.. yes, that tasted good, but not what I ordered.. The staff service depends on your luck,,.. when we walked in, there were tables free and we were given seats but in a tad rude manner as if we are not gonna pay and he is forced upon to be hospitable.. but the man who took our order was very hospitable and I have observed other waiters at work and they were more hospitable and I even wished I sat under their section.. The atmosphere was very cosy and elegant even.. a difficult combination but they managed to nail it..

The food was delicious but the service was not so good. We made a reservation for four people and out of nowhere they started taking chairs and the menus from our table, which we didn’t see like a big deal, but then they lasted so long to ask us for the food, and then the bill. It was more expensive than we thought even though he had some coupons. At least the place is pretty and the food is good.

Truly wonderful staff, very accomodating. The food was beyond our expectations and so delicious that we couldn’t have ended our trip on any other better note. Everything was made perfectly and the presentation was also good. Must visit. And do try their biryani and Ferni. Also the coffee.

I am so surprised by the high reviews! The restaurant is ok, with friendly staff, but nothing too exceptional or great. The kebabs were too salty. The serving of the food just average… the ice cream quite below average I would say. Sorry guys, I think the reviews are misleading… I had much higher expectations.

The restaurant offers a great selection of Persian dishes. Their saffron lamb shank (pictured) was so delicious and the kebab was juicy. We tried two appetizers (Mirsa Ghassemi and Kaschkbademjan) but both were very disappointing. The service was quick and staff are friendly.

Best food ever( the beef Kobab and chicken grilled with Saffron rice) Mustafa is a great friendly waitress who loves his job and smile he even recommend the best food. Good job Mustafa I will definitely come back again.

i wouldn't give this place a 4,4 rating. Not saying that the food is bad, but they basically serve easy-to-cook dishes for an inflated price. Portions are not so satisfying either. They need to fix prices and portioning.

The menu is authentic and varied. However the rice dishes are far superior than grilled menu. The lamb in saffron curry was tender and served in rich sauce, whilst the Adas polo and in general any rice /meat dish delivered greatly in flavor! Grilled portions were smaller and not as well seasoned. In general, definitely recommend this place for authentic Persian food, but make a reservation since it tends to be easily over crowded.

Very accommodating and nice staff, very tasty food ! The only comment is that the appetizer dish for 2 people can be a bigger. Except for that very tasty food. I had the lamb marinated, it was very tender and tasty. I would recommend and will come again

The food was absolutely delicious! From starters to the desserts, absolutely everything was great. The service by Muhammad, the individual who served us our food, was superb. A table can be reserved in advance via Google. Highly recommended for authentic Persian food.

I started off with a cup of Tea waiting for the main dish. Tea is average and Maitche Polo was excellent. The sauce is delicious along with a touch of saffron. It smells really nice and the meat is so tender. The dish have a little bit of bitterness but it was balanced by the raisins from the rice. It's a perfect combo! Anyone who wants to try Iranian cuisine in München, I'd definitely suggest there.

The best saffron rice I’ve had in Munich! Light, fluffy, buttery and smelling of saffron. To top it off, the lamb fell off the bone and it was divine! The cocktails are strong. It is a little bit on the high end of price point but totally worth it. Good portions, excellent taste and very friendly staff. If you want to dip your toes into Persian cuisine, this would be the place to go!

Shandiz is my go-to Persian restaurant in Munich. Better to reserve in advance as Shandiz gets busy most of the time. The staff are friendly and one of them speaks several languages incl. Persian, English, German, Arabic and even a bit of Hindi. One remark about Kebab/Djuje Torsch: they both taste really delicious, it's just that I believe they are not following the original Persian recipe which instructs the meat/chicken should be marinated in the special sauce.

Nice experience overall. But the kebabs were a bit smelly and not well cooked. Delicious rice and lamb shank - really tasty. But the meat and chicken kebabs were not nice, we couldn't eat them. But nice restaurant and friendly, efficient service.
