Update: we came back and had the vegetarian chefs choice Menu and it was amazing. A bit different dishes than the first time, but the flavors were just as delicious! The service was again really really good. They were very attentive and friendly and even the chef came out a few times to explain the dishes. The food was very good. A modern twist on typical Vietnamese dishes. Incredible flavor and great presentation. Service was also very friendly and helpful. Atmosphere is a bit cold for me, but very well thought out and I’m sure most people are into the decoration. They had a good selection of wines as well. The veggie dumplings were mind-blowingly good, will definitely come back just for this!

Tapas size dishes, 6/7 for 2 people are more than enough. The food was very tasty, great flavours. The staff was welcoming and friendly, the outdoors seating was nice. I would definitely recommend ordering the Yuzu Spritz, it was sooo good! The duck rolls, dumplings and the cucumber salad were my faves.

We were visiting for Oktoberfest and wanted something more Asian and found this place in Google Maps. It’s honestly so underrated and some of the best food we’ve had in Munich (maybe the best on this trip so far). They truly have a unique spin on Vietnamese food with their tapas style and the atmosphere is very cozy and intimate. Would recommend making a reservation beforehand as they are quite small but popular. We got very lucky today and I’m so glad we found this place for dinner. If we are ever back in Munich, this will be a MUST VISIT spot. Every dish was amazing but highly recommend the Thai basil beef and the Ginger Prawn.

Loved it. Small tapas portions meant we could try a lot of different things, and the food was very light and didn't weigh the stomach down. Service was excellent. Small, cosy interior. Will definitely be eating here again.

Fine Vietnamese tapas, good service and nice atmosphere. 6/7 dishes + dessert is enough for 2 people.

Food is really good, you get to try new tastes, the chef seems pretty skilled. The concept is very suitable for a group occasion, where you can order very different things to share. I also really liked the interior of the place and the design overall.

If you are looking for a fine dinning restaurant to evade German delicacies for a while, and you like Vietnamese food, this place is for you. Tapas place, the waiter recommended 2/3 dishes per person, it’s more 3+ because 4 plates to share (so equivalent 2/pers.) isn’t enough. Cozy place, good staff. Recommended!

Great experience: great food and attentive service. As a plus, they offer Giesinger beer. A bit expensive but worth the money.

Went back 2 nights in a row. Mind blowing. Best Vietnamese food I’ve ever eaten. The ginger prawns especially!!! So delicate, flavourful, light, fresh. Incredible value for the quality of food. Cannot recommend highly enough. 10/10. A ‘must visit’.

Excellent and very friendly service, great selection of dishes. Everything was very good but the fried rice was especially tasty. Combine it with the roasted pork belly and you will be happy. But we didn‘t stop there and had the papaya salad and several other plates as well. 3 dishes per person might be enough but we couldn’t control ourselves and had one more each after that. Very good selection of wines as well, many of them by the glass. On top of that they are also very dog friendly. We had a wonderful time and will be coming back.

I was here three years ago and we enjoyed a quite authentic Vietnamese lunch with the two Vietnamese founders and a normal menu. Things have completely changed now, with a Asian tapas menu that go for 9-14 euros and a German service. In general portions for each dish are quite small, the dishes I didn’t find particularly authentic (some of them like the lemongrass chicken or the veggie dumpling a disaster, the papaya salad just sweet without flavour). Unfortunately we won’t be back.

Very good tapas, we've been a party of three and shared everything. I would consider 3 to 4 dishes per person. We enjoyed every single plate that we ordered and the service was great (we never had our wine glasses empty+the girls were very friendly). Definitely a place to return to.

Amazing Vietnamese food!!! It’s a modern take on Vietnamese food offering tapas style courses. Their steamed rice ravioli are delicious!! We came two evenings in a row because we enjoyed it so so much!! Recommend especially for gluten intolerant people as they cater for that too!!

Very exquisitely and finely crafted Vietnamese fusion dining. Exceptional service. Laid back clear interior accentuated by smooth earthy table ware. Definitely a must for special occasions or to treat yourself to something gorgeous.

A very unique concept of Vietnamese fusion food served in small portions, like tapas. Pricey, but absolutely delicious. (8-12€ per tapa, 52€ p.p. for the menu with specials)

A food that will make you remember it and leave wanting more. Food is exceptional. From an explosion of flavors to a constant feeling of thinking "how else would they surprise me now?" And then suddenly more and more dishes coming as a pleasant surprise. My favorite were the tomato salad and the Basilikum sorbet. Never thought a tomato salad could be that good! Service and the place are just as good as the food. You will definitely enjoy going to Tivu.

The food here is great, although I would have preferred more spice, more heat. Green peppercorn beef is delicious but you'll strain to taste the dish's namesake. Spicy beef salad, also delicious, comes with 3 thin slices of mild chilli. Garlic prawn, beautiful and 4 euro per prawn (although that's a minor gripe as they were quite reasonably sized). Their biggest let down is the wine, which, by the glass, is quite dreadful. Stick to beer! My service was attentive and quite charming at first, then they got busier.

Hands down, One of the best restaurants in Munich! Amazingly fresh ingredients , delicious food that’s plated elegantly, with absolutely alluring ambience. The service there is impeccable! So attentive and proactive. Immaculate service! If you are in Munich, you have to try Tivu!

A really fancy tapas styled bar and restaurant with impeccable service and delicious food. A bit on the expensive side as well. Usually 5-6 tapas shared between 2ppl would suffice. Cocktails are also served, usually you will have something special for the day. Staff is friendly and very helpful

Absolutely fantastic, most definitely amongst the best food I've ever eaten in the greater Munich area. It's a bit on the pricier side, but certainly worth every penny. The staff was super friendly and chatty but still highly attentive to what's going on around them. Other places would've had one or two waiters for a restaurant this size, but TiVu had at least three, and it showed. Highly, highly recommended. We will most certainly come back!

Quite an interesting experience ! many flavours and textures, those "tapas style" dishes are all very unique. i don´t know if vietnamese per say but it was for sure really tasty. count 8-10 euros for a tapas plate min Staff is really friendly, guiding you on how to best experience the dinner the schrimp dumplings and ginger schrimps were def my favorite ! little disapointment on the pork belly which was really dry

a Vietnamese charmer with contemporary fusion food, being famed for its tapas style cooking, it offers a great range of choices from prawn dumplings, curries and spicy beef to bbq pork. The beef is divine. We ordered 14 dishes for 6 persons, just about enough. The only criticism is the Loup de Mer doesn’t taste very fresh.

Nice atmosphere, great food. A bit pricey for such small portions

A lovely restaurant. Service 5/5 Food 5/5 Ambience 5/5 An interesting concept of Vietnamese tapas executed exceptionally well. The water spinach was nice and crispy. The ginger prawns was delicious with such a well balanced sauce. The TiVu special beef so juicy, sweet and spicy. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. The restaurant is on the expensive side, but the food, service and experience is worth it. This is also a perfect place for a date, to share food.
