We were disappointed with the service and wine prices. The food was ok but nothing out of the ordinary. The waiter recommended a Californian red wine bottle for 190€ and opened the bottle to try it. The wine was OK but not worth the price. We looked it up and the retail price is 30€. I find this multiple 6x unacceptable. We would have paid 100€ 3-4x. Therefore if the bottle was 80€ we would be fine paying 200€ for example. My friend es sommelier and gave us the hint to check the price.

Excellent experience at George...the atmosphere is very upscale, service subtle but very attentive. The food was great, very much enjoyed our appetizers, particularly oysters and steak tartare. The shrimp cocktail was fantastic.... The aged steaks were outstanding, probably one of the best I ever had im Germany. Tender, very tasty.... Siees were great, spinach, lobster mashed potatoes...loved it. Also, terrific wine selection. Everything comes at a price, but it is well worth it. Will be back

Two Americans in Munich on Christmas Eve and we had a wonderful experience. Food was delicious, cocktails were fire, and wine selection was extensive. But most of all, our waiter was phenomenal; he was very accommodating, offered to take a photo of my wife and I, and then at the end when we wished him Merry Christmas and asked how to say it in German, he wrote it out on a card for us after trying to walk us through the pronunciation! The also ordered us a taxi at the end! 10/10. Get your fancy steak dinner here!

Excellent food. The meats were seasoned well and cooked to a perfect medium rare, just like I asked. The steak was juicy and tender, and the side dishes tasted so fresh. I wonder why I didn't find this restaurant earlier. Definitely coming back for more.

A Great Service, perfect dishes and beautiful atmosphere! Actually there is none to complain about a night at Georges Prime. The concept is common to others that I know from OZ or NZ. But it is done well. Mr. Alex Bauer our waiter did a great performance. Food quality is high the prices are high as well but matches the quality. For everyone who wants to have a unforgettable night: Go for it!

Great food, great service, the BEST place if you like flies landing on the food. Low rating on the atmosphere. Picking a fly out of a glass of 2012 Dom was heartbreaking.

Fantastic place, the food is great. The service is impecable as well and all together makes for a great dinner experience. The most worth it dishes in my opinion are the ones with seafood, the steak was good but not excellent. The truffle mac and cheese is wonderful as well as the tuna tartar. The entire experience from beginning to end is great. Highly recommended!!

The atmosphere and service were good, but the food was average and the price is too high. As examples, the oysters were not catted off the shell and I needed to deal with it without a proper knife, or even worse, the stakes which we ordered were not in proper doneness (minimum requirement for a steak house) and for my daughter it was rare instead of medium which is two levels off… I think that for the price of ~100 euro per person the expectation is much higher than the reality.

Overall everything was good. A bit noisy environment, but the meat I got was very well made. You should come here hungry, cause the portions are quite big.

Excellent meat. They have both dry aged and regular cuts, which are amazing on their own. Some excellent oysters and Nikkei's as well. It's some of the best meat of Munich for sure

Actually I am very happy to have such a stylish restaurant in my hometown Munich. Just waking into this place makes you feel very special, the venue is breathtaking.. We have the Filet and New York stripes, with the outstanding truffle mac & cheese and spinach. Just delicious! The service was perfect, the staff very friendly. Even the manager was checking on us if everything was fine. If I would recommend this place? Hell, yes ;)

Went here for a special occasion and loved the place. Pricey for sure - also compared to some classic Munich steak places - but just classy and nicely up scale in its overall style. Great meat and side dishes! The Smokey Old Fashioned - highly recommend 👍🏻

Nice place/atmosphere, pretty posh but classic. Steak was 9.5 out of 10, strongly advise medium rare, they know how to prepare it (see images). Some bone marrow and tartar for starters. Prices are steep, but I can't recall any such restaurant for lower rates

It was a great experience. Beef tartar was very delicious, porterhouse was very nicely cooked and the schokoball was quite wonderful. Especially the cocktails were our favorite. Lavender whiskey sour was my favorite cocktail so far!! The Restaurant manager was very kind and outspoken. We appreciate the recommendations. :)

Classy. You enter a hub of serenity and are warmly welcomed, then escorted to a corner of happiness, where you enjoy great service and delicious food. You feel pampered. I went for simple basics, a steak, some onion rings and red wine. It’s in the basics that you taste excellence. I wanted my steak to be well done. I know it’s a sacrilege, still I was presented the tastier, more tender piece of meat ever. Thumbs up, chef. I also found my onion rings to be fried perfectly, something I’m obsessed about. Frying is difficult, hey! The selection of pre and after drinks is stunning. They also have 80% of American wines, which have come a long way and are delicious. Least but not last, service is very good.

A great fine dining experience in Munich. I could actually say that I had the best steak ever. Perfectly cooked to my liking and served as promised. I did not get the waiter’s name but he was amazing with a great knowledge of steaks. Absolutely recommend this place

We had a party of six, and we placed our order, and it took almost 2 hours to get out. After we placed our order told her that there were two large party in our food was going to take a long time. When we finally got our food. Most of the folks in our party enjoyed their food. My New York strip steak was probably the toughest steak I have ever had in my life. We had to ask several times for Bread for the table and at different points when we ordered rent we had to ask several times. The server took off the price of my state. I would never go back to this place unfortunately. If you have two large party, then you should tell people, and we had reservations. I’ll never go back.
