9 day stay at Double Tree. It is a gorgeous peaceful place. The staff are very lovely. The pool was beautiful. The activities are great. The drinks taste delicious. Cons: the service can sometimes be slow (although you are so relaxed it doesn’t matter much), the food is pricey and there are no restaurants in the area unless you go in town. Overall would recommend anyone stay here if they are looking to chill out.

What a great spot this resort is located at, however it is a missed opportunity run by poor to negligent management. The service staff are the only positive thing about this place. 1- Food: Horrible Horrible! The cook or the chefs have no idea of a 4 star food standards. I ordered the Aussie steak with egg and paid about $54 Australian dollar only 50% was meat the rest was fat and other inedible part. Also ordered a burger it was completely raw inside. 2-Premium Bungalow with ocean view is a joke! It is one Bungalow with two units in it. You can even hear a sneeze from your neighbor. 3-Beach. You Cannot swim in there beach it is blockaded with large rocks. If you want to swim in a beach they have day trips to islands. 4-Staff- 95% of the staff a great! friendly and eager to help you however a bit slow in getting what you want but we don't mind since we are supposed to be on holiday and relaxed.

Stayed here with family of 5, husband and three kids 14, 8, and 3. We all had a great time highlights were: Kids club - if you have kids 3-12 years old sign them up as soon as you get there, it is free and the women running it are lovely. Three year old was reluctant at first but after first session couldn't wait to go back. Added bonus they made friends with other kids staying there and continued to play with them during the lunch break and in the evenings. Staff - all the staff were so friendly and helpful. One of them spotted the kids playing with coconuts so showed them how to remove the husk and put a hole in the coconut to drink the coconut water, they loved this. Pool - there is one pool area but it was great for all of us. With loungers around the pool or looking out over the ocean, a shallow toddler pool area, a large rock in the middle to jump off and a deep area too. Spa - my husband and I enjoyed a couples massage while the two youngest kids were at kids club and the oldest hung out at the pool. Food - good selection at the buffet breakfast with something for everyone. We also enjoyed a buffet dinner one night that was served outside. We stayed 4 nights which was the perfect amount of time for us, feeling relaxed and rested. A great place for a relaxing holiday break.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Doubletree. While the hotel is further out of Nadi this is exactly what we loved (although if you would like to be closer to Denarau, I would suggest booking accordingly). The resort had a lovely homey feel and the rooms were spacious and well appointed with everything you need for your stay. The resort feels a lot more relaxed than others in Fiji, especially during peak season. What really makes this hotel is the staff who are all so lovely and accomodating, and who always greeted and smiled at you as you walked by. They can not do enough to assist you whether in the restaurant, at the front desk, at the bar, everybody is always there with a smile and willing to assist. Thank you for making our stay lovely! (My only negative is that we did not get to stay for longer!!)

The resort sits on a small island, away from the city, with 24/7 boat transfer service to the main island. The staff exude friendliness, and within the resort, you'll find a restaurant, bar, and an abundance of fresh coconuts. A convenience store near the checkout area caters to your needs. All rooms and private cottages, including beachfront ones, offer WiFi. For kids above 4 years old, horse riding is a must-try, along with a captivating sunset cruise. Creating a room account during check-in streamlines your stay, making it convenient to add on services like food, bar, or laundry booking amenities. Simply provide your room number, and settle the bill upon checkout.

We had a really great stay here! Perfect for what we were looking for - a relaxing, “disconnect from the world” type of getaway. Facility - we had a beautiful ocean view room that was clean and comfortable. The grounds are also gorgeous - as pictured on the website/social media. Service - so much hospitality! A great staff - and we especially enjoyed the daily breakfast buffet. A really good value. Location - this is something to note, depending on what you’re looking for. This hotel is about 20–30 min from the airport, and you reach the resort by boat. Little speculated, and it’s not like you can really walk to town. We were fine with that, loved the location, and did excursions that all included transport, so the location wasn’t an issue for us. Others at the resort took a taxi into town (Nadi) for about $35 Fijian dollars, one way. If you’re planning on less of a resort-style stay, you might want something a little closer to Nadi, or around Port Denarue.

The only one star gave to the duty manager Una,always smiling and full of patience to fixing the issue. The first room I got, lots of hair in shower and also toilet, empty hand wash and dirty mirror, Missing slippers and cups, full of sand on the floor. Luckily I got a room move after,it’s a little bit better here, but still terrible, check the photo for the issues ,WiFi slowly as a snail, and also you will got lots of mosquitoes as roommate, and they don’t have any way to help you about that. And Waiting for 2 hours for requesting a blanket. I know it’s a high season at this time, super hard for the staff, but housekeeping worse than a two star motel. Won’t be back ever.

We recently stayed at the DoubleTree Resort in Fiji and overall, I had a great time. The property was beautiful, the staff was very friendly and helpful. However, I found the prices for food, drinks and snacks to be on the higher side, I was particularly disappointed with the quality of the food, especially at the buffet. I would recommend the Double Three Resort for the amenities and service, but be prepared to have a lower quality of food for the price you are paying. You can buy drinks at the airport duty free for a reasonable price and buy snacks from local supermarkets as other reviewers recommended.

Staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Fiji right now, we are genuinely impressed by the exceptional service. The staff here exhibit an extraordinary level of kindness and hospitality, making us feel like part of a family.Every team member, from the front desk to housekeeping and the restaurant, is consistently accommodating and charming. Their efforts in making our stay comfortable are remarkable. It’s the people here that transform our visit into something truly memorable. The sense of family the staff bring to our experience is heartwarming. They show genuine care and attend to every detail, making our stay special. Besides the fantastic amenities and activities, it’s this warm hospitality that stands out.We highly recommend DoubleTree by Hilton Fiji to anyone seeking a blend of Fiji's beautiful setting and heartening hospitality. It’s not just a place to stay; it’s a place where you’re welcomed, valued, and felt at home.

Resort in desperate need of a huge remodel. Much of it is run down (roofs with plastic wrap instead of fixing correctly), sea wall damage and many loungers and swings in disrepair. Biggest issue? The “private” villa aren’t private at all, each bure is connected to another and there is ZERO soundproofing between rooms. You can literally HEAR EVERYTHING next door. Sadly we got stuck next to a crying baby who would cry for hours on end. Sounded like it was happening in our room. Remember, these are the highest priced rooms. If you do come here just book a regular room. Staff is nice but things are not well run. Food options at dinner are limited and if you do not pay for overpriced buffet a simple burger can take over an hour, that’s if you can even get someone to take your room service order. Resort has so much potential but sadly doesn’t live up to it, avoid.

Beautiful resort and location. Great staff and very comfortable place to stay. The rooms are great. The one challenge was the restaurant. The wait times for ordering and getting your food were crazy long even when no one was there and if you weren't on the meal plan things seemed to get more confusing. Not sure exactly why this was the case as everyone was always moving around and doing something, but it would regularly take 20-30mins to get your order taken and even longer to get your order, but the food was delicious. Other than that the resort was amazing. If you're patient with the food it's totally worth it.

Beautiful resort with excellent staff. We stayed here for 6 days in one of the Bures and everyone was so accommodating with a smile on their face all the time. Plenty of activities for kids in their kids club. Pool, horse riding and so many other activities. Our kids loved it completely. Food took a bit of time to arrive but I wouldn’t mind going back. It was a busy time too. Overall, a wonderful experience. Thanks to everyone there :)

I stayed at Double Tree Hilton, Fiji, for 8 nights celebrating a friends birthday. I was looking for a quiet, relaxing, clean, friendly hotel with a traditional Fiji experience and Double Tree Hilton fits that experience in every way. The rooms, restaurants, pool, foyer etc are very clean. The staff are very friendly and professional. They went above and beyond to help me surprise my friend with a lovely decorated bed and a birthday dinner. The live band and staff sung 'Happy Birthday' and made my friend feel very special. We went out daily on experiences, which were all booked by Double Tree. Their knowledge and professionalism made my experience with them very relaxing and comfortable. We also had a massage at Double Tree which I highly recommend. The activity desk that booked our daily meals, sunset cruise and massage was amazing. I always felt I was part of the Double Tree family and appreciate everything they do. All the staff are friendly and professional. I highly recommend Double Tree Hilton Fiji. I will certainly be staying with them again.

Amazing resort with an amazing team of resort staff working there! Everyone is super friendly and very accommodating. It was our first time in Fiji and were just taken away by how happy and friendly the Fijian people are - perhaps the kindest we’ve ever met. The resort is a short boat ride from the dock, where there is parking in case you rent a car, but there are so many amenities on-site. The pool is cleaned and maintained every day and you can catch an amazing sunset along poolside. Resort is closer to Nadi Town and a little further away from the Port, where there are many restaurants and tours, however, the resort offers so much itself. We met many people on the resort who had planned to spend the entire stay there without going elsewhere. Overall, beautiful resort with amazing food, top notch amenities, and the most friendly and happy staff! Definitely worth a stay!

This was our first overseas family holiday. we were told by many about how friendly and beautiful the Fijian community were but experiencing it for ourselves exceeded our expectations. We loved the location. Paul who was in the pool bar he was so much fun and I loved his energy. Issy, who was doing the wood carving demonstrations ; We loved his stories and my kids love their carved swords. Well really, everyone was just amazing

Room is spacious and generally clean and well equipped. We loved the balcony which faced the ocean, such a great view to wake up to! Staff are generally quite friendly and smiley, and helpful. Overall the resort feels a little dated but still great value. However there’re a number of points which could have been improved. First, our reservation for the room is for 4 adults. However on the first night we arrived, everything was not prepared for 4 adults (i.e. the towels, toothbrush, slippers, shower and shampoo set, toilet paper, cups). After check-in, we had dinner at the hotel’s beach restaurant, then we took the buggy to the room - by that time it was almost 11PM. We had to call the reception/housekeeping to request for all these insufficient items. Then, next day, after housekeeping, again we were short of towels, shower and shampoo sets and water (which should be replenished right?) Second, breakfast buffet has a variety of selection but not very appealing. Third, buggy ride wait time was a little long (had to wait for 10-15 minutes after we called the reception to order one). I’d still give a 5-star review because overall it was a nice stay.

This is a great place to stay and you'll love the staff here. When you arrive, someone will give you a ride across the waterway to the resort which is massive and beautiful. We were very impressed with how fast the staff arranged for us to check in early. You'll love the buffet breakfast and the gluten free selection of foods as well. This resort was built on mud flats so you'll find the sand on the beach to be gray and murky and the water on the ocean at the beach is unappealing and cloudy. You'll love the really attractive, exotic looking green birds that you'll see constantly on the island. We loved this resort and recommend it highly!

If I could give this hotel negative stars I would. As a Hilton Honors member having stayed at Hilton establishments around the world, I can safely say this is by far the worst I hotel I have ever stayed at. To put this in perspective, I have traveled to locations where plumbing and power is not stable. This place is very dated and in need of a refresh. The rooms are provided a refrigerator, but no means of heating up food placed in the refrigerator. The single split pack air conditioner barely keeps the room at a comfortable temperature and the fans were not operating properly. Though the staff was very friendly. They very often over looked small details that are important to customer service. Forgot wash clothes, informed my family that items were available when they were not, provided food with no cutlery, etc. Also, the room service time stated 7am to 9pm, but when we called to order room service around 10am. We were told that the items we ordered would not be available until 11am because breakfast was being worked on. So, our room service didn’t get delivered until 12pm despite having room service hours. There were several instances such as this. Such as when I asked the manager about exchanging or getting local currency. I was informed there was no where onsite to exchange currency and I could only use credits cards or I would have to take a taxi into town to exchange currency. Then the next day I found an ATM on-site to withdrawal local currency, which was never presented as an option to me by the manager. Nor did the manager make any concessions regarding the air conditioner shutting off every 45-minutes or the fans not operating properly. I increased my service rating, because most of the staff that work here are truly lovely people. However, I still rate this place overall -5 primarily because the staff should not be placing tarps on leaking roofs. The Hilton Corp should update the facilities to ensure tarps are not needed and bathrooms do not have mold in them. Further, if Hilton Corp is going to have a hotel on an island. Then the Corp office should ensure proper restaurant and food options are available 24/7 for customers. As well as ensuring there are properly trained chefs that can properly prepare a menu. I say this because my daughter got sick from the breakfast buffet. Then the burger night, the burgers were precooked and placed in a water bath warmer. While there was someone on the grill cooking mini flank steak and eggs. Instead of using the grill on burger night to actually grill the burgers, customers had to eat this burger that sat in a water bath for extended periods. There was nothing enjoyable about this meal.

The resort and its staff are wonderful. beautiful place to relax or celebrate. it’s worth the money to stay here as they are very on top of their service and ensuring your enjoyment. The only thing was with food. the only restaurants available for dinner are extremely expensive even if you don’t have much. it’s honestly cheaper to get room service every night for dinner. But Breakfast was included in our hotel booking. Our room was cleaned nearly everyday and towels changed also nearly everyday or when requested. Be aware they place nearly everything on your hotel room bill, so just be aware of your end of stay charges to pay for. Also on arrival you pay for a $700FJD bond. the boat ride was never a problem as no matter the time someone was always there and it was only a 2 minute boat ride. Just be aware but overall was a wonderful stay

The resort is awesome, the environment. The beach. The pool. The rooms are all 5 star...it's the service. The smiling faces to welcome and the warmness that is missing and the hopeless menu so overall a 3 star

An alright place. Fun to visit. Could do with an upgrade as some rooms have old fittings. Also the menu could do with an upgrade to suit the local palate. Otherwise a good resort.

This was our last stop on our trip! The hotel was beautiful and the food was good. Our room was very clean and comfortable. One thing we didn't like is how far from our room we had to walk to be able to swim in the ocean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was interesting, nothing like we've stayed before, we had to take a small boat across the bay to get to the hotel which was quite cool. We were able to go fishing with a local who worked at the hotel which was an amazing experience. We would stay again. 4/5 stars because it was a little expensive for food and items in the shop.

Meh. Location is on its own by boat access only. Costs $100 to go into town round trip. You're cornered into paying premium for buffet ($90), breakfast ($30), and drinks are up to $32 each. Although the resort bans outside food, fill a suitcase with all the wine and grub you'll need if you're planning to stay here. Rooms are large, and have great views + washrooms are modern and clean.

The staff was the best ever. Everyone was extremely nice. The room was spacious but the entire facility needed updating. It was also too far away from the city or other places you might want to visit. Had to take a cab everywhere. The cabs only accept cash but there was no means of getting cash on the island. All the pads and chairs and tables by the pool neeeded cleaning. I think this place was great as a new facility but it needs lots of TLC. If not for the nice staff I would not have enjoyed my stay at all. Not enough variety of places to eat and it was not cheap. They ran out of wash cloths. We waited for 2 days to get clean ones. This is truly not a 3 star hotel

  • 5/5 Alex L. 6 months ago on Google
The room is exceptionally clean. Was welcomed with cookies when we checked in. Staff were lovely and made us feel at home. The resort requires a boat ride to and from the mainland (just 1 min ride) but it only enhanced the whole experience. The boat operates 24/7 by the resort. If you want to escape the concrete jungle/accommodation, this is the resort for you.

Beautiful resort and amazing customer service. The whole team made us feel welcome and took a very good care of me and friend during our stay. The breakfast buffet was great with lots of choices. The theme nights buffet were fun too. Another restaurant was great as it was a la carte. It would be good to have some sort of fast food place at the resort as another food option. The only thing that it was not much to do at the resort in the evenings. In term of activities. It would be fun it was some sort of dancing or paining class, outdoor movie activity.

Customer Service: 5 Affordability: 4 Room cleanliness: 4 Location: 4 Restaurant: 4 We booked a 5 day reservation for our vacation to Fiji, and decided to stay at this Doubletree Hilton hotel location. Upon arriving the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was very well maintained and clean to the highest standard. Our room was not so clean because the bed had to be remade. When we rolled back the comforter, we noticed that the linen was not fresh and it looked like someone just rolled out of bed.

Loved the relaxing vibe this place had. I went for one night in 2 days on my birthday to treat myself and absolutely loved the room. It was very large air-conditioned and comfortable but at that same time. I found that when we went out to the pool and tried to participate in any activities. It just wasn't very exciting. This is definitely a place you would want to go just to relax. (Drinks ate very expensive)

My partner and I stayed here only for 3 nights but we had an amazing time! Our room was clean and tidy, very comfortable with the air con keeping us cool!! The robes were a nice touch. The facilities were great, the pool, the swim up bar, amazing!! The staff were just beautiful people. Everybody was welcoming and warm and always greeted us and took care of us. We had an incredible couples massage and it was honestly the best massage we’ve both ever had!!

The rooms were great. The resort is relaxing but the only activity was pool, nothing else. Being vegetarian there was very limited options in breakfast or in any of the options. After constant pushing we had few items added but it was on our last day. 🙄 overall personally I would give 3 star for the pool but that’s about it.

Nothing was out of the question for the staff at DoubleTree! Beyond accommodating! A short, scenic boat ride to get you to Sonaisali Island will have you giddy with excitement that your holiday has officially started. Rooms are spacious, modern and beautiful. Impeccably clean! Highest attention to detail. Bed is super comfy. Recommend one of the Bures for romantic solitude, but every room is beautiful - you can't go wrong.

The room was lovely. We stayed in an ocean view bure so there was more than enough room for myself and my partner. The staff are generally very friendly and hospitable. However the service was incredibly slow and very unorganized. Staff would often forget an order. There wasn’t a lot of communication on delays etc. The food was also somewhat bland. Was fine for our mandatory 3 day stay upon arrival in Fiji but wouldn’t recommend for a longer vacation. On a positive note. The 90 min massage we got by the beach was one of the best I’d ever had!

$600/night and breakfast not even included, and this place is managed by Hilton go figure! Staff are very friendly but well under staffed it is visible, causing delays on service. Better management is required for this place. Denarau offers many resorts at better value for money.

I really appreciate the efforts of the team at Double Tree, Sonaisali. Given the effects of the pandemic on the business and also the staff, they came and worked together to ensure we really had a lovely time here. Waking up every morning to the smiley faces of every staff member of different departments we passed to going to bed feeling relaxed, I can barely fault this place. I also loved how they had activities on for the kids and adults and I enjoyed playing pool and table tennis in their leisure area. The only thing I wish they had was authentic Fijian food instead of western cuisine. Thank you for the great service.

Had an incredible stay at Double Tree in June. Felt like a second home, and we didn’t want to leave! If your looking to surf! Fiji surf CO. boats pick you up right at the hotel, it’s very convenient to get to cloud break, restaurants , swimming pools….. Hotel is comfortable nice size rooms, the AC was loud, but cool enough to run the fans only. Hotel has activities, no swimming beach, but you can go for long walks on low tide. Staff were excellent!!

We only stayed for two nights but we were impressed with the facility. We loved our ocean view bungalow which was fully equipped but the only downside was how very dim the lights were, which was a strain to my eyes. However the view, especially the sunsets, was amazing. The restaurants food was good but not great. Loved the pool bar and the lounge chairs was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall an amazing experience and would recommend.

The entire staff was great. Very helpful with any request. Always smiling and caring about your well being. Vani in the gift shop was very knowledgeable about products and patient. She went out of her way to help my friend. There was also a gentleman that helped my friend when she hurt her knee. I would highly recommend this hotel. It is beautiful, very relaxing, warm and inviting.

I am really happy for the best service, excellent hospitality, it was great. I felt I was home. Thanking all the staff from front desk, house keeping and kitchen. My birthday surprise for my husband went so well. The house keeping decorated the room as to my expectations and really made it special for me. Front desk made sure they checked on us every day of our stay. Kitchen staffs were all friendly and food was of perfect choice and to our expectations. My kids loved it. We enjoyed pool. I look forward for the stay upon my next visit
