Chic and urban hotel🏩😍. The hotel is right next to carnivore restaurant and the Wilson Airport. Amazing staff, who have the best uniforms ever. Loved the room, the deco and the paintings at the hotel😊. I stayed here on a work trip and the wifi is so fast. Would come again. Shout out to Emmanuel at the front desk.

Tamarind tree it's the coolest hotel that I have ever seen, they have good customer service everywhere around the hotel from the front desk to the lobby, to the grocery, to the food, rooms, etc. Have been there 3 times and never experienced any bad treatment or discrimination against their customers. They have yummy foods and sweet drinks and my favorite was apple juice every time I visited there. Also, they have a transport service to take you from and to the airport and they care about it, they can even remind you of your flight time. I love all the service providers of this hotel including Sharon, Tomath, Monica, and others who have forgotten their names. Congratulations Tamarind 🎉

Review is for their main restaurant (Tamambo). Great service from point of making a reservation to end of our meal. Definitely recommend sitting in the outside section that is close to the pool. Food was delicious and well made. Only negative I can think of is that the prices are more on the high side.

The hotel has some unique artistic vibe to it and the staffs are the most amazing folks ever. They make you feel like a family and they are just amazing. The hotel is just a true definition of perfection from the food, to the ambiance and the services. I loved it🥰🥰🥰

The rooms & hotel is nice overall. However… Water is 500khs that’s a ripoff! & a rollaway bed for a 2 year old is an extra 6,600khs! Not very accommodating! It seems like they try to drain their guests for more money. Not to mention the restaurant is completely expensive!! You’re better eating outside the hotel.

I had a wonderful stay at Tamarind Hotel in Nairobi. The hotel's ample parking made my visit hassle-free. The experience was further enhanced by the delightful culinary offerings. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, showcasing a blend of flavors that truly satisfied the palate. The attentive staff and comfortable accommodations added to the overall charm of the place. Tamarind Hotel's combination of convenient parking and delectable cuisine made my stay a memorable one. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Nairobi for a delightful experience.

It's a nice modern hotel with everything you need and a good location to go to Wilson airport to fly to game parks. They will keep your luggage while you are away in Mara or somewhere else. Will book again.

Absolutely wonderful hotel. Facilities are great, pool is well maintained. Transportation was arranged to and from the airport. Food was good, we tried the breakfast buffet whick was diversified, lunch was good also. We had dinner at the carnivore and was escorted to and from by a security guard. We only stayed here one night each before and after our safari, but we wished we stayed longer. Very attentive staff, from the reception, the waiters, drivers and all the way to the manager John. Thank you!

Good place to sit and work when needed. Unfortunately, they plan music, which can be distracting for business virtual calls. Snacks are ok, mostly samosas and a choice of drinks. Lunch is mostly a buffet, which is great. I like working here remotely or when there's a power black out.

The room I lodged in was truly impressive with its spaciousness and comfort. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with the sight of a large, plush bed that seemed big enough to accommodate a family of four. The room was tastefully decorated with warm white, and the furniture was arranged in a way that made the space feel cozy and inviting. The bed itself was a marvel of comfort, with soft sheets and fluffy pillows. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with the room and could not have asked for a better place to rest my head during my stay. You also have a sense of welcome with a bracelet of hope provided on your bed as a gift. The customer service was a 4 for me.

This was a nice hotel. We stayed overnight while waiting to leave for safari after 20 hours in the air. The food was great and the service was perfect. Thank you Evelyn for the great service and the chat about the culture and the people. We had a great time. Can't wait to return.

Everyone needs a good message, trust me. When I visited Tamarind for a massage , I met Jane the masseuse, she is perfect, she is professional, she understands the assignment, she applies the right pressure to the muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia. Every time my body complains , I just call her to confirm availability and she delivers. Keep up the good work Jane👍

Probably the greatest hospitality I've experienced so far. We went to Tamarind Tree last minute after being disappointed with the service at a 5 star hotel that's not too far from Tamarind tree. The staff here are so warm and kind, doesn't feel like it's only about duty. The food was exceptional and the wait time wasn't too long. Different choices of sitting area if you choose to dine here. The rooms are spacious with good natural light and on one side of the hotel you get a great view of Wilson Airport. The rooms are surprisingly quiet being this close to a Airport. Only feedback I'd have is they might need to look into expanding their non-alcoholic drinks menu, my options were limited. For a better dining experience i'd recommend this place for dinner instead of lunch. It can get busy especially when they host events or government officials.

About 5 kilometers southwest of Nairobi, on the open Carnivore grounds, stands the Tamarind Tree Hotel. With a rich food heritage of over half a century, this 160-room hotel embraces a new era of hospitality for the Tamarind Group brand. It basks under the flight path of Wilson Airport with its charter flights, connecting travellers to distant adventures beyond and neighbours the renowned Nairobi National Park. If the constant rumble of planes doesn't bother you, The Tree offers an artsy ambience, delectable cuisine, and a courteous staff that's sure to please. The outdoor heated pool offers a rejuvenating escape from the African sun. The buffets, crafted with care and creativity, appeal to diverse palates and have been eliciting positive chatter from all corners. You just need to scheme through TripAdvisor to see. As for the rooms - you can choose from the inviting embrace of the Standard Room, boasting all the amenities to ensure your stay exceeds expectations. Alternatively, surrender to the allure of the Junior Suite, a lavish haven that offers a heightened sense of opulence. And for those seeking the pinnacle of indulgence, the Superior Suite stands as a testament to refined sophistication, elevating your experience to unprecedented heights.

It's a perfect hotel for my visit. Thanks to all staff for making the trip memorable. The reason I am rating as 4 stars is because of the Front desk communication problems and they are not only bad communicators but there is no empathy for the implications what would happen to guests due to their poor communication.if that can be taken care I would rate them 5 star. I would specifically call out few staff members who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Front Desk: Beatrice, she managed the situation efficiently in the midst of crisis to help make it right, kudos to her for trying best to rectify the situation caused by others front Desk team. Restaurant: Florence and Mathew, thank you for checking on me and taking care of the things in the food section, caring for my needs. Both have a great sense of humour, always joyful. Massage: Jane, she is a professional at her best. I could give her the name.." Jane the small and mighty" she really understands the muscle structure and helped me recover from stiff muscles. Highly recommend a session with her. Thank you and appreciation to all other staff who made the stay comfortable.

We spent 3 nights here before beginning a safari. It is located close to Wilson Airport making it as convenient as it was comfortable. The morning breakfast buffet was a feast for the eyes and appetite. The staff was friendly and efficient especially the housekeepers, front desk and restaurant. Highly recommended.

    1. The pool: When we arrived the pool was dirty with lots of sand at the bottom. We decided to go in anyway but my boyfriend was stopped and asked if they could clean the pool before we went in. This took 20mins and we waited. 2. The ladies changing rooms: there was a conference going on at the hotel whilst we were there, the changing rooms were located in the middle of the conference, the changing rooms were open no private cubicles and didn’t appear to lock. Upon leaving the changing rooms I was stopped by a man attending the conference who asked me questions, this felt odd given I was in a bathing suit and he was fully clothed. He left me alone when I told him my boyfriend was waiting by the pool for me. We felt the conference should have been away from the changing rooms/ pool area. 3. Filming: the pool was next to a conference and they were filming right next to the pool. The camera wasn’t pointed at the pool but the pool didn’t feel private with the film crew right next to it. 4. We stayed 1st Nov, the hotel was full of Christmas decorations. 5. The security at the door is there for aesthetics only. They will insist you walk through a metal detector but they don’t check your bags or jackets which could be carry anything. Better to either not have the security or do it properly. 6. The toilet is behind a blurred glass in the room so not a separate ensuite - you can hear everything and see through the top. The door for the shower and toilet didn’t fully close. Positives 1. Breakfast was great loads of options hot and cold. Lots of fruit and variety. 2. We went to the Carnivore restaurant which is part of the hotel. This was a good experience and is quite fun. Tried crocodile. Very nice staff. Would recommend. 3. Large bed, aircon worked well. We had a good sleep. We did not raise the issues above to any staff whilst we were staying there, we did speak to the manager at the end of our stay. Nothing was offered to us. They did ask if we would stay again to make it up to us, unfortunately we don’t want to go back. All staff were polite, most of the issues we raised need to be resolved by the hotel management.

Best experience at a hotel I have ever had. The workers hospitality was unmatched to anywhere else in the world. Workers went above and beyond to provide for the guests. Great amenities, unreal food, overall the best place I’ve ever stayed. There is also monkeys that would come by everyday by the pool.

Rooms: large, airy and comfortable Food: excellent albeit a bit pricey (caveat: this is a 4⭐ hotel) Pool: a little on the smaller side. Drinks: massive selection. Ambience: excellent. Access: close to the major international airport. Conclusion: worth a second stay.

It's such a gem off of Langata Road. Attended a corporate dinner there, and their service was good. Their food was amazing...(didn't expect that from a buffet menu!) But they served an awesome feast, including Sushi, a great salad bar and some amazing roast meat. Definitely going back!

The hotel can be quite busy on a Friday evening but provides you with an unmatched ambience and modern vibe. The food is good and have a wide selection when it comes to their menu. I was attending a gala dinner event and the meeting rooms are well designed. 👌🏽

Visited the restaurant within the hotel. Was a very pleasant setting and we sat outside under a canvas canopy overlooking the swimming pool. We enjoyed the buffet meal which had an amazing selection and wide range of options. After lunch we enjoyed browsing the incredible art displayed on the walls. Must visit again.

Great service from the staff. Their pork chops with mashed potatoes were amazing! Their sweet and sour pork, however, was more on the sweet side as opposed to being balanced. We also had their lemonade which unfortunately had too much sugar. Hope they improve on those few things.

  • 3/5 Jacqueline A. 2 years ago on Google
The ambience is everything. However the service delivery can be better - especially the fact that if you want to run your card they cannot consolidate your bill, you must keep running your card for each item payable. I didn't experience the rooms. 3 stars on average.

The hotel hired us a driver Gerald who spent the day with us he did an outstanding job of showing us around Nairobi taking us to lunch and explaining the area. One of the front desk agents Risper ( I believe ) was most helpful in making arrangements and giving us direction her service was excellent.

  • 4/5 James M. 1 year ago on Google
They have a great menu with lots to choose from. I have never regretted any order from their menu. Downside; super pricey, long waits for service, I guess it's because they have to prepare everything from scratch unless it's buffet

Good, clean, modern hotel close to Wilson Airport and Nairobi National Park. Room was a good size, the bed comfortable and it was quiet. The staff were friendly. It is also adjacent to the Carnivore Restaurant, just a two minute walk away through the gardens.

The location is fantastic. There is a road right next that leads you onto the southern bypass. Strange though how conference rooms are on the same corridor with some rooms on the ground floor. The staff is quite friendly and helpful.

This is by far one of the most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed in. The front desk team welcomed us professionally, Martin took us to our rooms and gave us detailed briefing about the hotel. I chose the hotel for the proximity to both airports. The fact that it was a new-ish built was also a factor. The room is clean and comfortable, AC working well, the bed nice, shower very good. The room is facing trees behind the swimming pool so it's a nice view. You can hear noise from the hallway from both guests and staff tking and vlosing doors. The public areas are very nice and modern. Things I didn't like: not very pleasant smell in the room, probably due to the cleaning agents; the food (restaurant and room servuce) is very expensive; the 24/7 Duka shop is very limited in its offerings despite extensive menu and no prices shown for any of the items. My cappucino was very weak and cost Ksh 600, a ripoff in my view.
