Happy Tembo was declared the best lunch ever in Nairobi! 😋 Chef Liem was incredibly attentive with amazing Vietnamese and Thai culinary knowledge. Every dish was perfectly seasoned and prepared. The beautiful view from Jamii Towers was completely unexpected. Six glasses of lemongrass iced tea later we declared ourselves addicted!🤣

One of the best restaurant in Nairobi. It’s Vietnamese and Thai restaurant. The Vietnamese French owner Liem, his service is full of hospitality. Food is amazing (Chao Tôm is to die for) , the view from 11th floor is beautiful and cleanliness is perfect. Never disappoints. You can order from an alacarte menu or course meals. The restaurant is closed on Sunday and on public holidays. You should book at least one day in advance of your visit. Free parking (Gate to car parking is behind the building. Off Upperhill links road) Cash payment / Mpesa (send money) would be appreciated. It might also ok to go just for tea. I’ve seen some business men came just for tea or meetings in afternoon.

My husband and I had a splendid time with Chef Liem and his wife Kan.We truly enjoyed the delicious authentic Vietnamese cuisine prepared by the Hanoi-born chef Liem.The view of nairobi from the restaurant is a real plus to the wonderful ambiance.I totally recommend this Asian restaurant ! Wonderful owner run Vietnamese restaurant in Nairobi. The Chef, Liem was born in Saigon, raised in Paris and trained at the famous Blue Elephant in Bangkok. He wonderfully blends the traditions from all the culinary schools in a hand crafted menu. The ingredients are grown fresh at Mlango Farms so everything is full of flavour and nutrients. The view from the panoramic worried on the 11th floor of Jamii Towers overlooks Nairobi National Park. Overall Happy Tembo is a hidden gem of a restaurant in Nairobi. Well worth a visit if you love South East Asian flavours.
